decorating, decorating, and we're still not done!!!!

Wow....its been quite a weekend!!!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  The food was so delicious! The company wonderful!  Just a nice, easy day!  After dinner we played a game of Oh Heck!  It was Ry, Amanda, Karla, Andrew, me, and Dylan.  Karla & Amanda tied to win. They always win. Kevon laid on the couch while Joel and Papa reclined and watched the game. The girls were off playing as usual. Jay and his girl friend stopped by briefly. Veronica came and had to leave after dinner. Nice they could all come.  I tried to get pictures but no one was letting me and then I didn't even notice Dylan had my camera in his pocket. lol!  Can't believe it! It was actually kind of relaxing.

When Maddie was little she would play with these guys from the movie "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer" for hours. She would cry when she had to leave them at my house so Karla had to buy her some. lol!  Can't find them any more!

The 2 girls spent the night Thanksgiving. Friday morning papa had his last day at Walmart! Wow. I am happy for him! Good time to quit. While he was at work we brought out most of the Christmas decorations. If I was smart....I would bring out a box at a time, go through it and put stuff out, and take it out. Then I wouldn't have 15 boxes on my table and in my den!!!!  We had fun playing Christmas music and putting out the snowmen!  Then papa came home. Some of the fun calms down. lol! You who are married should know what I mean. Later Maddie went to another Christmas dinner and Papa took Lauren home....while I put up lights. That night we just relaxed and had a turkey sandwich for dinner.

Saturday morning I was working on more decorating and Christmas shopping on line.  Then papa and I went and picked up Dylan and dropped him off at the mall with a couple friends.  Then we went to Red Apple Diner and had a wonderful breakfast!  When we left we stopped at Walmart and got a few presents....papa got himself a 3 ton jack for Christmas and more lights!  We finished our Christmas shopping!!!!!!!!!  That is the most exciting news ever!!!!!!

Karla brought Lauren, Riley and Maddie over to spend the night!!! Papa put up the tree and while he went to pick up dinner.....(Albertson's chicken....Riley's choice) the girls and I decorated the tree. It is so beautiful!!!!

Those 3 girls have been running, laughing, and having a blast!!!!  You can't get them to tone it down or even just quiet down!
They've been going most of the night!  In the middle of the night we lost power. That woke them up. Papa came out to his chair and heard the girls for quite a while. Maddie came and woke me up sometime.... the power was on. She climbed in bed with me and said she was scared of Dora being a killer and something about when the power came on it was like the Heavens opening. I just said "That's good." and I went to sleep....Maddie couldn't sleep because I was snowing and holding her so she couldn't sleep. The girls came in and I sent them to the bedroom until we woke up. I woke up at 7:45! Surprised me. Nyqil is sweet stuff. I slept pretty good....even with all the interruptions. I wonder if pomegranates have some kind of caffeine in it because Papa bought one and shared it with his girls last night ....they had never had it but they loved it!!!!

This morning the girls are still laughing and having a blast! I don't know how papa slept  another hour! They had cocoa puffs earlier because they were starving....and now papa is making pancakes with chocolate chips.

I've been so busy I couldn't even post.

  1. So Happy birthday to my son-in-law, Don!!!! His birthday was yesterday!!!!! I love this guy!!!
  2. Happy anniversary to my sister, Lois and brother-in-law, Don!!!! They've been married for 42 years! Now that is crazy awesome!
  3. Also...yesterday was my sister-in-law's birthday! Happy birthday to Paula....papa's little sister!
I can't add more pics cuz I lost some on my external hard drive.

That about catches me up! Except I've been missing mama.  I saw an old friend Cris Shardleman, who lost her husband last July! It made me sad, I didn't know and asked her how he was doing.
I was also thinking I need to clean behind the entertainment center more often....I found Makoa's binky and car.  Made me sad and I've been missing him lately since I saw this picture of facebook.

Well.....gotta see about taking some girls home.  Have a great day!!!!!!

They will NEVER forget nites with Mam and Papa...what a treasure chest of memories in their future of "going down memory lane" when they are adults. the tree is BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT. you girls did a fantastic job. SOOOOO pretty lit up. Hope your day is wonderful. missing mama too...but oh when I think about what SHE might be doing....chills...and joy. talked to my dad and he made it through Thanksgiving well. Being around a large crowd of people helped, even when they showed past videos of Thanksgivings and Christmas with mom in them...must have been tough..Kat said she choked up. Life is short. Good to have those pics and videos. :-) xoxoxo
