Sonshine on a cloudy day....

I can't believe I woke up to rain again. I know we live in Washington State... but it isn't true that it rains all the time. Well... it hasn't been true for the past 54 years of my life. Wow... typing out 54 make me really, really, old! I guess I am a grandma of 10 sweet babies... 54 isn't that old, is it?
Now .... back to the weather! Nothing is right since Harry Wapler is gone!
What to Expect:
The rain is back and temperatures are falling. Showers have returned this morning and will continue throughout your Tuesday. An area of low pressure coming out of the Gulf of Alaska is tracking over Western Washington today. This is working in much cooler air and bringing the chance of some afternoon thunderstorms. Small hail, gusty wind, and heavy downpours are all possible under some of the thunderstorms that develop. Showers will linger into tomorrow with a chance thunderstorms. Temperatures rebound back into the mid 60s. We start turning the corner on Thursday with only some spotty drizzle. Friday through the upcoming weekend look dry with morning clouds and afternoon sun. Temperatures will be running in the upper 60s.

I thought it was to be sun with a few clouds all week. Oh well... can't argue with God. Which reminds me of when I was at Lauren's school. The class had written letters to Mother Nature. Amanda had to explain to Lauren that there really is no Mother Nature... God made everything and controls it. Stinkin' schools.

I have Makoa today only... and then no more this week. So I am going to dress in a mask and go see mom one of the days! I miss her and she is so sick! I HAVE to feel better by then. I felt bad for her yesterday. I called her and she started crying. My brother, Doug, told my cousin, June, that it wasn't a good idea for my Aunt Lorraine to come out at this time. Mom was crying because 1. She doesn't feel good and I think she is scared 2. She really wanted to see her sister but she knows she is too sick right now and is frustrated. 3. She is afraid she will never see her sister again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray mom heart rate gets back down to normal!!!! She has another doctor appointment today! God, please heal mama!!!! I am worried now. Also... any of you that live in the area.... she could use your caring about now. I know everyone is busy... but a phone call, a visit, a meal, a card..... anything!

Well.... Makoa made me laugh yesterday! He comes in with a smile and barely says bye to mom and heads straight for my frig! "cheeeeeze". So we say goodbye to mom, get some cheese, sit in my computer chair together with Toby in front of us and share some cheese. Every day! Then we take off his coat... sometimes his shoes and he takes off to play! Yesterday afternoon he sat in my lap eating bites of Yogurt and decided to kiss me... but he wanted a kiss on the lips and with this cold that isn't an option! So I kept giving him my cheek and he started to get mad! lol! And I got sweet sticky cheeks!

I need to find my camera. I am missing so many Kodak moments! Today Jordy graduates from grade school to Junior High! I have Makoa and a Sinus headache and cough. Was hoping to feel better but it ain't happening. Hoping this medicine kicks in soon! I want to go to Jessie's play off game tonight too... but doesn't look like that will be happening either. I have missed all the play off games and end of the year stuff this year because of this stupid cold and eyes!!!! I know, I need to be thankful for what I have and I am. Just a bit sad I miss everything. Even church.

So much for spreading sunshine. lol! Sorry all. "I got sunshine...on a cloudy day...."

My facebook friend of the day is always sunny! Always smiling! Always sweet! It is Christy Edgren from NK Class of 74... my graduating class! It is so fun being in touch with all the classmates and being connected again after so many years! She is a teacher... so she has paid it forward!
Here is my memory picture... not the most distant memory picture I have (6-15-09) ... Lauren and her papa at Dylan's game! She sure loves her papa!!!
ANDREW'S DEVOTION: ROMANS 7:7-12, 24-25

What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet." 8But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead. 9Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. 11For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. 12So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.
24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.ANDREWS THOUGHTS: Everyone struggles with sin, so there is no reason to try and hide it. The thing you should be doing every time you think that one thought, or watch that one video... is praying for forgiveness and a pure heart. Give it all to God and you are worry free.

Well.... the rain has stopped for now. I am really trying to see sun through the rain. At least I can always see the Son through the rain! ;D I will call mom soon and Makoa will arrive and my day will begin. Thank you Lord, for my life. Please heal my mom... help her to feel better.... guide the doctor. Please touch Papa's hip today.... take away the pain. And, Lord, do you think you could put a touch of healing on me and this cold too? Thank you! Amen!
