Finally... feeling better!!!

Our beautiful, sweet, smart, and amazing grand daughter, Jordan, promoted to 7th grade and into Junior High School yesterday! Wow. Where did time go? Where did our little girl go?
I'm up before 6 this morning! I'm not sure why... no Makoa the rest of the week. I am feeling a bit better... either that or I am going to will myself to feel better. My eye is really better! Yesterday afternoon I was perking up! My breathing was better, my eye is better, and I had a bit of energy. So I thought I would sneak to see mama... via Jessie's play off game (it is on the way). Ran into Jay and talked with him. Talked with Jessie for a while... she didn't play first half of game because a ball hit her arm at warm ups... she had ice on it. Talked to Annette and then to Craigmont for a bit. Ready to leave and brother David showed up. I kept my cool. He has not seen mom since March so I am not too happy with him. I know with David... attack puts him on defense big time... so I just told him how mom was doing... he got a new phone and took her number and mine again. He gave me his number. I also said I wasn't going to tell him to call or go see her since he does what he wants anyway.
You know... I can make suggestions to people but I can't make them do anything. Lead a horse to water but can't make them drink. I would love more people to pay some attention to mom... but they have to want to do it themselves. People get so wrapped up in their lives and don't realize how short life really is and our time with people. I've been there! I regret not having more time with my dad. I wish I had it now. I don't want to feel bad when mom goes to join him. I hope David goes to see her. Especially now. BIG THANKS to cousin Bob for calling mom last night. He has such a special place in Aunt Elaine's heart! It meant the world to her that you called! People don't realize how important attention is for the elderly. They figure their purpose is done and are just waiting to die! I've had lots of elderly friends and know this is true. They go to the doctor appts and live daily... but people don't visit or seem to care. It is sad. Maybe that is why I spent so much time with Kay Mathison, Virginia, and Mary.
Speaking of mom. Yesterday she went back to the doctor and he upped her med's again to bring down that heart rate... and took her off coumadin (the blood thinner) for 2 days. She goes back tomorrow. I just keep praying. That's all I can do! I didn't get to see her last night... the short time at the game kind of sucked the life from me.... but I am going over there today!
Mom talked to Lorraine last night. She is so upset about the trip... but mom told her it was still possible if she feels better. A miracle can happen. Also maybe it can happen if we all have Lorraine stay with us for a time. Doug's concern is a month is too much for mom with her health the way it is. I offered to have her over here, too! I love my aunt so much!!! I am named after her. ;D
What to Expect:
Plan on showers and sun breaks throughout the day with the chance of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. A few showers linger into Thursday morning before a drier pattern sets up across our area. Partly sunny skies through the weekend with high temperatures climbing back up around 70 degrees.
It did get sunny in the afternoon and the sky was so gorgeous last night! Maybe we'll see sun today too! My only plans are some laundry, unload dishwasher, look for my camera, visit mom and hit the store. Wish I could find some cheap milk. I don't like paying $2.49 when I know it is $1.99 some places! Just not sure where?! lol! Oh... and a little facebook and devotions thrown in for good measure. It makes me a well rounded person. Speaking of well rounded... I have lost a total of 13 pounds... and tomorrow I will get under a certain weight and I will be very happy... I just know it!My memory picture is of our little Filipino, Lauren, eating lumpia! Her mama makes the best! This was taken June 16, 2004... 6 years ago!

Here is Andrew's devotion... still a day behind but we'll catch up this weekend! The video by Chris Tomlin is taken from Psalm 115!
Psalm 115Thoughts: Continue praising the Lord in all you do, for God will give you the desires of your heart.
Facebook friend of the day: Christy Oliphant! Many don't know this but I've known her since she was born... and her mama! Her mom and I grew up together in Kirkland before all moving to Kingston. My mom and Christy's grandma were best friends! And Christy is friends with my kids! All like family! Christy has always been adorable, kind, sweet and I admire her relationship to the Lord! She is an amazing person and I love her so much!!!!

Well... done all the damage I can on here. I think the only ones that read it anymore are my East Coast friends, sister Lois and cousin Linda! Maybe Karla sometimes. Thanks for staying faithful! lol! xoxo Love you all!

OK, happy you got a little sunshine! I am praying for all of you, and the older folks are so precious. I know from the time I retired until my Dad passed away was treasured time to me! I got to spend so much time with him and I wouldn't take anything for it.

I hope your Aunt Lorraine comes to visit, I think it would be so good for both of them.

I am happy you are feeling some better and CONGRATS on the weight loss:)

Hang in there my friend! Each day is a blessing! HUGS!
