colds and cats on Sunday!

My memory picture of the day was taken 6-13-08 of Dylan and Maddie at her preschool graduation! He gave her flowers and she LOVES flowers! It was a good day 2 years ago.

I just got off the phone with my mama. She said she is feeling a little better today. I am still worried about her. She isn't getting better as quickly as we'd all like. Her sister is due to come out for a month long visit in 2 weeks. Aunt Lorraine just got out of the hospital herself so everyone is a bit nervous about the whole vacation thing coming up. But the two sisters only have each other now and we know they want to see one another really bad. Play it by ear and pray!!!

Papa decided I shouldn't see mom right now with this cold. That is the last thing she needs right now is a cold! I am sad about that... but I cough all the time and my sides hurt. The doctor put me on an antibiotic and Fish Oil (the biggest pills on the planet Earth) for the stye that never ends plus it should work on me if I have bronchitis, too. Double treat.

Yesterday I didn't feel too bad.. but was wiped out last night and in bed early. I ended up waking up in the chair though... cough, cough, cough. Andrew has the cold too... got it last week I think. I'm taking it easy today. Just took a shower... worn out. Papa is out mowing the lawn.

Papa and Lauren finished painting the front deck yesterday and he let her paint two boards on the back and Andrew helped with the stairs! Nice to get some help! I started on the toy room. Still no camera. I did take Lauren to the park for awhile yesterday. I sat and observed as she made friends the minute we arrived! She had 3 friends she was alternately playing with by the time papa picked us up. Kids are amazing how quickly they accept one another and get along. Why can't adults be that way? Seven year olds don't judge the other person before getting to know them... that's why.

Once you are my friend I will care about you forever... even when we go separate ways for one reason or the other. I still consider people I went to high school or worked with in the past my friends... even if I haven't seen them in years! My facebook friend of the day is Christa McDowell! She is in the middle with my other facebook friends LaDawn and Tina! We all worked at Payless (aka Value Giant, Rite Aid) together! It was so much fun back in those days! Everyone really cared about each other and we shared alot in that break room... about ourselves and others! lol! Great group of girls... and Christa is a really awesome person... beautiful inside and out!!!

My sister-in-law, Betty Lou, who lives in Virginia, asked for prayer for her brother Dick. He was in a motorcycle accident in Maryland. He broke some ribs and now has air pockets in his lungs and is having difficulty breathing. Pray, please!

I have Andrew's devotional from yesterday... looks like I will run a day behind now. Weekends do that!!!

1 Corinthians 13:8-13 (one of my all time favorites!)

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

His thoughts:
God is love. Love is perfect, never fails, always comes through, and can eliminate any and all evil.
God is perfect, never failing, always coming through, and can eliminate any all all evil.
Put your trust in Love (aka God).

I gotta say.... totally off subject.... I love my cat. She is so strange and funny. Cats are so cool. Here are some truths about cats:
YA THINK????

They are independent and go wherever they want to go... so to speak....

At one time we had 3 cats..... but here is why we don't have another cat along with Punkin.....

And my favorite photo.... makes me laugh every time I see it! This would be Punkin!

I can always figure out my dogs though....
Hope you will feel better in the morning!! Sunny skies again????
Hugs and Feel-Betters sent your way.

Too cute... all of those kitties! I hope you get all better soon. It sounds like you have had way more than your share!

And your Mom getting company, I bet it will be good for both of them and perhaps you'll be all better by then.

Have a blessed day and I will be praying for you and your family!

BIG hugs! Love to all of you!
