HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MADELYN!!!!

Maddie is finally 5!!! She has wanted to be 5 since Riley turned 5! I will never forget when she was born....Dylan was so excited! It was sweet. She is a wonderful little girl and we adore her! Happy birthday, Maddie! Love you!!! This morning I'm picking up Andrew and taking him to baseball camp and Lauren to swim lessons. Yesterday was tough.... once we got to camp Andrew was hesitating about going. The kids hate change, hate new things and being out of their element. Andrew's friend wasn't there yet and he found out he wasn't going to be in his group. That wasn't cool. When Dylan & I came back around 10:30 he was standing back while they were playing a game. He said he had a headache and stomach ache. I told him he needed to play and once he played he loved it. He told us later he was afraid he would make a fool of himself and strike out...but he hit every time up to bat! First time he hit he was smiling big!!! Dylan was freaking out during their break...the kids were getting baseball cards from the coaches! Good ones! Andrew gave Dylan his. Then they played a trivia game and Dylan knew almost ALL the answers but couldn't answer because we were on the other side of the fence. He was feeding Andrew the answers. Dylan would have liked the camp but hadn't signed up because he thought it was overnight camp somewhere far away. Maybe next year. Now on to Lauren's saga. Karla took her into the pool while I took Andrew behind it to camp and she would not get in the water. She refused. We called Amanda and she still refused. She cried every time we tried. Finally I told her she couldn't go to Maddie's unless she got it....it was the end of lessons and she got in with the teacher for a minute. She smiled and high-fived me when she got out. But all day she cried she didn't want to go back. So pray for us this morning! After Lauren's lessons she is going with Auntie Karla to the free movie and meeting her cousins there. I'm staying with Andrew and after camp we'll meet them all at the park for a picnic! Should be a fun day! Today is also a good friends birthday....Pastor Jake! Last year he was with Lanny at the hospital almost as much as I was! Good man and good friend! Happy birthday to him and a prayer for many more happy and healthy ones to come! Hope you all have a wonderful and safe day today!
