Mill, Menu and Mornings....

Welcome to Monday. So far it is going pretty good!I rearranged things in my house while papa mowed the lawn. Smells good. Doors are open and airing house out. The sky is blue and son is out.  Loving it.

Kids are funny. Be careful what you ask them.  I am loud at times... I admit it. But apparently Lauren and I are too loud. Or I am. This morning I woke up Andrew and then for the next 1/2 hour I would yell "Andrew?" twice.  Well, today he said not to come in or wake him before 7:30. I asked if he would prefer papa to come in the morning....he said yea. Papa is quiet. whatever. Teenagers.  I guess we only should ask if we want an honest answer. Andrew is super honest.

After the kids went to school I stopped in Port Gamble and walked. Port Gamble is a beautiful little town in the fall.  It used to be a Mill town.  I lived there when the kids were born.  Back then it was like a little Peyton Place. lol! They had a company store people charged at and then it would come out of their check. I think that is where the song "I owe my soul to the company store" must have come from. Except I think it was really about a coal mine instead of a saw mill.  I am going to try to walk Port Gamble every day. Won't be able to this weekend.  Old Mill Days is this weekend....they do a carnival and fireworks and lumberjack contests. I've never gone.

I love my fireplace in the morning.

And I love my dog. This morning he came and sat out in the livingroom with me instead of staying in bed with papa! That just doesn't happen. So I loved it.
Papa has been working on a puzzle. I pulled the side pieces out to start it and then he kind of took over.  Now, if I would have said "Here is a puzzle for you to put together!"  He would have ignored it.  But now it looks like his idea so he is having fun with it.  Doing good too.....

Well....I guess I need to go figure out what is for dinner tonight.  Plus make our menu up for next month. It is almost payday. Once a month makes it really hard to figure things out.  Paying the bills is easy....just pay them all! But shopping for food you have to really plan.  I am a planner anyway so that helps. Lists, lists, lists.
Have a great day and I will hopefully write more pointless stuff tomorrow! :D
