Football, photo's, Fish & Chips, and the doctor.....

What a week.  On Monday Night Football our Seahawks played.

Amazing game. Our defense got 8 sacks the first half of the game.

Second half we didn't do as well.  There were SO MANY flags thrown.

So many bad calls made. Some good calls made.  The saddest part of the whole game is the end. Seahawks won't be remembered for the sacks and good game they played. They will be remembered for 'stealing' the game. Which they didn't.  The final touchdown was called by the ref's, not the Seahawks. Was it a bad call? I don't know. Every angle shows a different result.

There is "this rule" and "that rule".  Living in Seattle we are hearing all sorts of stuff nationwide and local. I've had people say....aren't you ashamed? Again, the ref's called the game...right or wrong. Also getting the jokes....

It is a beautiful Thursday.  Very foggy this morning but as soon as I got over the bridge it was sunny!
It is funny how weird it looks on the bridge in the fog. You can't see either side. You are in the middle with no land.

I made some really cool pictures the other day! Of each grandchild....and me!

Loving my grand babies!!!!!!   I truly do with all my heart!  I cannot imagine life without them!!!!

Tuesday was shopping day!  Got paid and went to Costco and then to Walmart. That is costly but we got enough for a month.  That is our shopping trip. The only thing we need to get during the month of October is milk and bread, hopefully.

I did see this recipe though....looks pretty good and easy.  Papa probably won't like it.
Ingredients:
1 (32 oz.) bag frozen meatballs
1 (18 oz.) jar grape jelly
1 (18 oz.) bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce

Directions:
Pour the meatballs, grape jelly and BBQ sauce into your slow cooker and stir well until combined.
Cook the mixture on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 2 – 2 ½ hours until completely cooked through (stirring occasionally).
When they are ready, just set your crock pot to the "keep warm" setting and let guests serve themselves.
Just place small bowls and toothpicks next to the meatballs.
Everyone is going to love these!
I am going to try it next potluck!

I went to the doctor yesterday. Papa took Karla and I and dropped us off at the ferry.
We went to Seattle and walked over to Ivar's Restaurant.  Num!!!!

We ate inside....outside there are birds....seagulls flying around that you can feed french fries to.  It is really awesome.  But not for Karla so we ate inside which was so pretty and really nice.  She had Ivar's Blackened True Cod Taco's and a bowl of Seafood Chowder.  I had fish and chips (without the chips) and a bowl of Clam Chowder.  It was so delicious!!! If you want to check out the menu here is the link.... http://www.ivars.com/index.php?page=menus_acres-of-clams
Kevon picked us up outside in his truck and drove us up to Group Health. Quite a distance.
I got a hearing test first. I found out I am not as deaf as I thought!  Then I saw the doctor next. He was different. Not very good at communicating. Not a great bedside manner. Not too prepared. I don't think he had looked at the MRI.  That was a bit frustrating. Basically all he said was you could have this, I don't think you have this, but if this happens call us.  Whatever.  My kids said to sum it up by saying there are no worries right now. Everything is fine. Which I am very thankful for!!!!!  I was frustrated yesterday because it seemed like so much stress and tests were a waste of time. But, like Karla said, it ruled things out. That is a good thing. Then we caught the ferry going home!  Had a great conversation and it was so good to hang out with the kids.  I don't know when that even happened since they were little kids!  It was a super day.  Kevon and I had to stifle a laugh... the doctor is on the computer and says "You're really something". Such a random and awkward thing to say. lol! I looked at Kevon and he was losing it...well, then I started to lose it. It was so hard not to laugh!!!  I was glad the kids came because they asked questions and kept things light and remembered everything. Not me! lol

Well.....just watched Survivor with papa so if none of this makes sense....there ya go!  It was long.  Have a great day!!!! xoxo
