keeping your cool....

Sometimes do you feel like you're talking until you're blue in the face and the person never seems to "get it"? So you raise your voice thinking if you're louder.... the person will understand better? Then that person gets all huffy and things just go downhill from there.
There is a secret to stopping that downward spiral right here.... don't do the voice-raising thing!!! When you let a harsh word slip out, it's going to bring a reaction and no good is going to come from that, will it? When you're about to lose it.... stop; pray; speak gently. You'll be glad you did. ;D

Yes Ma'am Mam! I try to NEVER raise my voice and hardly ever get upset:) Praying works with most every situation! Love you!

Joyce, I have four kids! If I have to stop and pray every time I want to yell, the kids will wonder why I never speak and always have my eyes closed! You are probably not talking to Moms with four kids are you? I do not yell at adults. Is that better? :) Just playing with ya. Hope you have a great evening!

Sound words to live by although not always easy...but, if we try a little harder and try to remember where the "other guy/gak" is comin gfrom it may just work! Thanks for sharing your words or wisdom, love ya xo!!

That's funny, Tracy. Remember, I raised 5... and I did my share of yelling. I was talking mostly about husbands... lol! I do remember the quieter I spoke to my kids, though, the more they listened because that's when they knew I was furious!
