Happy Birthday Joel!

Today is our son-in-law's birthday!!! We want to wish Joel the happiest of all birthdays! He is a wonderful man, great father and loving husband.... as you can tell by the pictures I posted....
Joel is probably the biggest sports fan in the family! He loves playing and watching!Well.... maybe not when the Seahawks lost the Superbowl.Dylan and Joel have gone to almost every Mariner Season Opener. They have probably rode the ferries to games dozens of times! Joel passed his love of the game to Dylan!
And here they are at the Monster Truck show!Dylan really looks up to his dad and thinks he is so cool and smart!!! They like checking out things together....
Then along came his baby girl.... his little princess who adores her daddy! Another blessing in his life! I don't think there is anyone else that brings out such a range of emotion in him.... love, protectiveness, frustration, laughter, and did i say love???And then there is the love of his life.... Karla! They are a great couple. They are so similar in so many ways!
Happy Birthday Joel!!! We love you very much and are glad you are a part of our family! Enjoy your birthday and the game today!!!!


Well.... we won't be missing the Superbowl.... but we will be watching it alone. I can't risk passing this cold on to anyone else.... so I am housebound. I had so many plans this weekend too! Oh well.... it isn't the game I'm going to miss.... it's the family time.

I always have my cat. She is still sleeping in the bathroom. I know it is warm in there with the heat going.... but it is kind of funny. If this is your first time in my bathroom... yes that is a bread box. It has the grand kids toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, etc... in it where they can reach it. Ever since I read about how poop spores in a bathroom can land on toothbrushes sitting out, I never leave them sitting out in the open without being covered. Weird I know... but it just sounds gross.
Yesterday we got a few things accomplished. I did laundry and wiped some windows down. Pacific Northwesterners know what I am talking about. Tara called just to chat! We talked a long time!!! It was wonderful!!!! Thanks Tara! I love my girls. That's two days in a row someone called just to say hi! Papa worked his bahonkas off yesterday! He changed the oil in both our cars, cleaned them inside and out, and mowed the back yard! His hip hurt a bit last night.... but he loved the spring-type weather we had yesterday! My man is not lazy... that is for sure! He loves it outside..... and it was sunny and warm! He also fixed the Yahtzee game so he IS happy! One of the buttons was sticking! lol

It is sprinkling today and suppose to clear up this afternoon. This was the view from the deck yesterday morning! The layers of water, fog, and then the Cascade Mountains and blue sky were gorgeous!
This was my niece, Ashley's view of her deck in Virginia! 27 inches so far! I think I like my view better.... even with the power poles! lol!Hope you have a great day today.... fun and laughter with friends and family!

Weather to Expect:
The mild temperatures continue to dominate. One weather system brought more clouds late Saturday with spotty sprinkles.
Partly sunny skies will rule Sunday as highs hit the mid 50s.
High pressure builds for the first of the week, meaning pleasant temps and partly cloudy skies through Tuesday, with just a slight chance of light rain overnight.
Expect the rain chance to rise Wednesday and the rest of the week.
