Happy Birthday, Daddy!
This is how we remember dad... his place at the table with his goodies close by.
Dad's favorite place was outside!
Today was my daddy's birthday. I miss him so much. He would have turned 87 today. Today I would have called first thing this morning and sang "Happy Birthday" and he would chuckle and say "Thank you!" But I can't do that this year. Maybe if I sit here and sing.... God will let him hear? I don't know how all that works. I was blessed to have a gentle, caring, smart, funny, original dad! Thank you God! I am so afraid I am going to forget things about him! Especially his voice. My memory picture of the day was taken on February 11, 2001 with dad, mom and Andrew, Dylan and Jordy helping Great Grandpa blow out his birthday candles!
I am finally feeling human and see the light at the end of this tunnel we call "A cold". I have to tell you... people are wonderful! I enjoy reading every one's blogs.... especially Karla and Dena. They are both SO FUNNY! It always makes me smile. Dena had a conversation with a "English speaking" telephone operator.... cracked me up. Then there is the stories of Maddie. She got slapped by a boy on the bus.... you will have to read her posts. Lets just say.... Karla reacted like a mama bear! But not over the top. She didn't kill anyone.
Well, I am trying the Weight Watchers point system. I already went over by 4 points yesterday. First day! That bummed me out last night. But I will do better today. I am staying focused. I appreciate you that have faith in me!!! Thanks for your encouragement! xoxo
Tonight the new Survivor starts with past contestants! I am so excited about it! Hope you have a great day and night ahead of you! God bless!
Weather to Expect:
It's raining. The rain will be with us all day
This wet weather pattern will be sticking around through the upcoming weekend.
It looks to stay dry for the morning commute tomorrow, but rain will be on the increase Friday afternoon and evening.
Rain at times continues through Saturday with breezy conditions.
Most of the rain on Sunday is expected during the morning, so some afternoon sunbreaks are possible. Temperatures will hold in the 50s through the next 5 days.

Oh what a sweet Daddy! Hugs to you and Happy Birthday to him. I believe they can see us:) he knows you love him and you will never forget his voice! We have so much in common and loving our Daddy's is another one that we share! God bless you in your health issues and willpower is a really hard one.

That is a great picture of Grandpa Langager at the Elk Horn. I can't imagine how hard it is not to have your daddy around, but I am sure he knows how much he is loved and missed.
Good luck on your Weight Watchers. My grandma did it and was sucessful. I have been trying and was doing pretty good for a while, but I got a sinus infection so I have been slacking a bit. I have to get back into my routine.
