cancer.....

It seems cancer has surrounded everyones lives so much this past year. My friend, Gregg, lost his 12 year old little girl to cancer this past summer, the battle little Tana has been fighting, and my mother-in-law. Update on her is she isn't going to do chemo. The doctor told her to wake up every day with a smile on her face and enjoy and love every day with her family. He said he couldn't tell her if she had a month, a year, or ten years. He didn't know. She's actually doing pretty good and sounds good. The doctor was surprised to see how well she is doing. With all this talk of cancer.... I would like to remind all my smoking friends and family. The Great American Smoke out is in a week... Thursday, November 15th. I would like to beg you all to give your children, spouse, parents, whoever loves you most the greatest gift you can give them....you! Give yourself a better chance. I know they told Lanny if he was still a smoker it would have been so much worse for him. I have 2 friends doing the nico. patch and it is working. I used bubble gum. Whatever works, at least give it the one day.... and then maybe the next.... one day at a time. Off my soap box again.
