If you must curse, use your own name!



Why do we curse? Why do we get so frustrated, angry and upset that we seek to feel better by yelling out a name or slang term? When we do yell out a name, we rarely if ever hear the name of another religion’s god. We almost always here the name of God and Jesus used. Why? God’s name is a good name, a name that saves, heals, calms fears, invokes fear, invokes love, invokes trust, God’s name is a safe name. It is Who you go to for help! So... it is a good name to use, but in a manner that is treasured not trashed.

You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain. For Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain. Exodus 20:7
