How much is that Doggie in the window?

Mama used to sing that song. I do love doggies!  I am afraid of some. Like the one up the road that is a bit aggressive and the owner says "Oh he just wants to play!" Ya, whatever. When I was young the neighbors had 3 mean dogs: King, Tina and and Queenie. Queenie was a German Shepherd and the other two were huskies. Beautiful dogs who were always in kennels. I was afraid they would get out and sure enough, one day Queenie did and I ran and she chased me and nipped me. I was so afraid. You would think I would hate those breeds of dog but I don't.  I love them!  On Tail Wagging Tuesday I am going to put the dogs we have had...some of you may remember them:
The top one has to be our Toby Dog we have now. Such a sweet loving boy. Loves the grandkids and our family, cheese and bacon, my bed, walks, his duck toy, treats, Sandy dog, the beach, and mostly Papa!

Before Toby we had 3 other dogs....Nicky, Buddy and Punky. (And 3 cats)
Punky is the smaller dog. We got her from a family over on Bainbridge Island. She was Tara's dog.  She always slept with her and loved on her and took care of her. When she married Brad she took Punky Brewster with her!  She was a yapper but she was cuddly. She got a bit crabby as she got older like most little dogs but she was sure loved. Not so much by Brad. lol!

Buddy was Heather's dog. She is the brown mutt.  She was such a barker! When papa would mow she kept laying the ball down in front of the moving mower. There is nothing she loved more than playing catch! She would never stop! She would have played til it killed her so you had to stop. I called her papa's shadow because she followed him EVERYWHERE!!!!  She was a sweet girl.
Nicodemus was Karla's dog. We went and got him in Port Orchard. He was part cocker spaniel and part golden retriever. The sweetest boy ever. We called him Houdini sometimes because he kept getting out of our fenced yard and taking off! We had a 6 foot fence in the back and one day Kevon and I watched out my bedroom window and saw how he climbed the fence. So funny!  We moved to Kingston and fixed that! Oh, and got him neutered.

We did get Kevon a little guy named Bear.  He was the cutest puppy but he didn't live long. We think he may have had parvo.

Lanny got Bogie in the divorce. He finally went blind and deaf. :( Good dog.

This is Rocky. We got this German shepherd as a puppy and he got parvo and never made it to adulthood. I cried when he died. He loved his photo taken!

When I was married to Dave we got Killer when he was a baby shepherd. Loved that dog. It's different when the dog is your protector.  He got very big. I loved that dog and we had another dog when Karla was little named Daisy. She was a little blond peek a boo and the crazy lady next door to us owned her and her son said we could keep her. I really loved that dog too. Can't find a picture though. It was a long time ago. Here is Karla and Killer though.

The best dog of all time was our childhood dog, Lucky. He not only saw it as his personal job to protect us but to protect all the kids in the neighborhood. He watched out for everyone and was so loving. He would climb in dad's lap unless he had a beer. Lucky hated beer. The only picture I have is a partial picture. He was white with a black saddle shape on his back. I am looking for a better one. Here he is with Lois, me and Libby.

That is some of the dogs.  There were a few more in my childhood but I am done and sleepy. lol!

Went to bed after midnight last night and woke up at 7:30. Papa was gone! He went blackberry picking and didn't get home until after 9:00!  He got over 3 gallons of berries today. I made a Blackberry Cobbler for his hard work. :D

Hope you had a good Tuesday!  Mine was quiet. No kids no nothing.  Have a great evening and post soon!
