It is Monday morning.....Martin Luther King Jr. day. It didn't mean as much to me until I taught my class about him last year. I learned so much preparing! Of course they were too young to understand everything but I could teach them the simple things. How he had a vision about how this world could be. What is funny about it is that children that are 4 - 6 years old don't really see color. That is one of the beauties about children. There is no racism or hatred. They forgive so quickly. When do they learn to b mean and bullies? I don't know. I know where they learn alot though....home.
At school we were all one. White, black, Vietnamese, Hispanic, Filipino, Chinese, Hawaiian mixed races, all races.....we were all just one... children of God. That is a major thing I love about kids this age!!!!
I miss all these kids so much!!!!
Anyway, this is what I think about when I think about Martin Luther King Day.
It's been quite a few days. Jael has stayed in Lauren's room since Thursday. She is coming here tonight to stay a few weeks. Saturday night was busy. I picked up my sister, Lois. We went to Manette and watched Jael sing. She did awesome.

Then we stopped in Poulsbo where Kevon's band was singing for the drummer's sisters birthday Only stayed for 3 songs. It was pretty loud but my son rocked it. lol! Totally different atmosphere.
Kevon...the only one going with the Hawaiian theme! Nice hat.

Look...there I am .... clapping my hands (you can see me back by the orange wall clapping my hands!
I got home by 11:15 but couldn't go to sleep until 1 a.m....woke up at 9:00!
Then last night we had Maddie and Lauren spend the night. They slept in our room and we slept out in the livingroom. For part of the night and then Lauren took the couch and I went and slept with Maddie. Since the cat we don't really have a great sleeping arrangement when the girls stay over. Even before the cat they were afraid to sleep in the toy room.... then they were afraid to sleep in the den. Don't know what is going on with them but they need to toughen up. There is nothing to fear! Kids.
Well, I read Heather's blog today. What an inspiration my daughter is! I am glad I read it. I hope you all get a chance to read it. It's her crazy life. lol!
I really need to get off here and get this place cleaned up while the girls are destroying (playing) in our bedroom and papa is outside. Good time to clean. A few pictures I took lately....
Joking around and put half my face on and left the other half bare. lol
Before going out Saturday night.
Have a great Monday.... it will be a short week....hopefully!
