Lots of different stuff.....and she's back!

I keep thinking that by having snow people and snow coming down on my page will help it to snow in real life.  We haven't really had much snow this year to talk about. I would love to see some.... just for a weekend. That would be nice.

Kev's birthday was nice... even though the Seahawks didn't win for him. They let him down. We were proud of their season....for sure!!!  So he came to dinner  on Monday. He got his favorite.... sweet & sour chicken wings and julienne potatoes. He loves those.  Took some home too.

We had a great visit.  I love when our kids come over just to visit. Oh, that's right... they don't. haha!  They don't even call to say hi or visit. Wait, Heather does. And I talk with Amanda quite a bit.  I called Karla yesterday and asked her if not calling me was her New Year's resolution.  She said "I call you when I need something!" Silly me... what was I thinking? Lol!  I posted this on Facebook  Pretty funny...but true.

I love my kids and I "get it" that they are busy. I remember raising kids and teens. I remember all the sports and busyness. But I also remember calling my mom at least once a week during that time.  Just to see how she was doing. Let her know how I was doing.  Just to hang up saying I love you. Sure wish I could do it again today.

Well, my hair is growing out and this seems to be my new style?  Not only is my hair growing out.... the gray is too.  Longer than I have ever done before. Trying to decide whether to go au natural or wash that grey right out of my hair.

Look how the cat lays into his beard. He loves papa so much.  I don't think he is that into me. He sure loves his cat tree....but yesterday he got his back leg tangled up on the string holding the toy.  He was fighting me while I was trying to get it off his leg. Could have been bad had I not been home.  Did he show any gratitude for my help in saving him? no way.

Got Jael's room ready for her again. Rearranged a little bit too.  It looks presentable and I think she will like it.  We picked her up at the ferry this morning. Her train ride is only 13 hours! That surprised me. I thought it was longer! It was so funny because she wasn't suppose to come until tomorrow....and was going to surprise Andrew. Well....Papa and I went to McDonalds to wait for the ferry and I took this picture of Papa. oh...he is looking old. Maybe i should color my hair. :(

Anyhow..... I sent this picture out to show how much fun papa was having and Andrew text me back that if we would hang out for about 50 minutes he could come have lunch with us.  Well, of course we would!!!  Plus by the time he was to get to McD's.... Jael would be with us. So she surprised him when he walked in there!  His face was great.... huge eyes, jaw dropped and the big smile!!!! I wish I had taped it.

The pictures came back from their photo shoot in Seattle.  Great pictures!!!! I will show a few or so:

They could be models, I think.  That one black & white one where they are crossing the street look like a paparazzi shot.  They look famous.  Wonder what people thought in Seattle of the pictures.  That must have been a long day.

Well.... some sad news.  My sweet grandson was geared up and ready to start basketball season tonight.... even dressed up for school like they are suppose to do on game day.

Patrick's little finger on Tuesday after practice.  :(  Heather posted this today:
Well, Patricks first game is today and he went and broke his finger and growth plate, so off to the orthopedic surgeon next week :(

Basketball looks like it is over.  Same thing happened during football season but it was his foot!  I am heartbroken for him. He loves sports.

Well, I best get dinner started.  I hope you all have a great weekend coming up! I will have more pictures and hopefully some video's on Sunday!  Lois and I are going to see Jael sing and then stop in Poulsbo to see Kevon sing this Saturday night!  I am excited!

RIP Dear Abby

til later......

No snow here either but it is getting colder:) I saw that picture of Kevon on Facebook! I think he is so handsome, I say that every time... don't I? SIGH!

Those pictures of Jael and Andrew ARE wonderful! I think they do look like models! I thought that before you even said it!

Sorry about the finger:( I know those kiddos want to play sports and so disappointed to be out for the Season!

My Parents are both gone but I sure called them and/or visited them every day:) I wish I could go sit in their living room today, the heater would be warm and the hugs would be OH so sweet! Children need to cherish their Parents, we both know they won't be around forever!

BIG HUGS from Georgia!

Saw the photos on FB..they are REALLY good. (Great photographer!) I hope you get some snow. It is pretty, falling, and... I like it on your POST!! :-) Just don't like it to hang around for SOOOO long! bleh. Sounds like your weekend is a winner already!! Have FUN! and by the way, I know Parker is so disappointed. Playing sports is SUCH a big part of their life. I am so sorry for him... :-( ouch!~ Sometimes I want to quit going after those grey roots that keep sprouting...gyah...seems faster and faster after each app....but I just don't like it. One day I will probably adapt and overcome and settle into it like my mom did. My grandmama (her mom) kept her hair colored all the way to the time she passed. 86! so...we'll see. HUGS to you Joyce. xoxo
