Not much to say...but did pretty good!

It is Saturday again!!! I had time to post but didn't have anything worth posting. It was a quiet week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights we went to Karla & Tara's softball games. The last ones.  Monday we lost bad. But we turned it around and kicked some bahonkas the next two nights!!! It was pretty awesome. We had no grandkids all week. That was weird. Lauren and Andrew have been in Eastern Washington....and Maddie and Dylan have been busy.
Monday night on the way home kind of sucked. Got chewed out by my boy, Kevon. He lectured me on my health because of last Saturday.  It isn't the first time he has brought it up but he really is not happy with me right now about it! I totally get it. He loves me and wants me to stay young and healthy. He keeps saying I am not old. How he is going to be mad if I have a heart attack. He is right. He will be. He said it is preventable and I need to shape up.  Well, him and Karla got me to quit smoking when they were little....and I know he is right again.  Soooo....
the next day I started being careful with what I ate and how much and now I am exercising. That took a few more days to kick in. Last night papa and I walked to the beach and back. If anyone has seen the hill going down it is killer coming back up. Papa also brought the exercise bike back in the house for me. Now to ride it.
I have lost 7 pounds!
Friday morning I had to go in for a cat scan for this ear thing going on. It was freaky. I had to go out the back of the doctors clinic through the parking lot and around the corner with this girl to a trailer. Then she has me step on this big scale looking lift. I said "Is this a tricky way to get my weight?" She got on too and up we went where they opened a door that looked like a storage facility door....and there stood this man and woman in white coats. That freaked me out a little and then they slid the door down and shut it. I was making jokes the whole time but it was a bit claustrophobic in there. Then I had to get on the bed and get the cat scan. That wasn't bad at all. Only took a few minutes. Then I left...walked around the whole building and drove to the school.  I walked in and it was so dead and quiet in there it surprised me! I walked in Sarah's class and it was only her and two of the kids...Sophie and Quinn....who I love! I was happy to see them! Everyone else was on vacation, have left, or were no shows. So I had a great time talking to Sarah, Cherie and Teresa!!!! So good to see them all. I missed them! Visited for a bit and then came home. That night Papa made nice steaks for dinner....I only ate half of mine.... and then we went on a walk to the beach. Beautiful night for it!!!
We have had Mac and Sandy this past couple days. It has been alot easier than I thought it would be. Mac terrorizes Toby. He does Sandy too but Sandy is used to it.... but Toby hates puppy energy and how Mac bounces off him. But we have a solution.  Mac gets the laundry room...his kennel, food and water are all there and we put up the gate. Most of the time he has free reign of the back yard. A couple times a day we put him in for about 10 minutes while Toby goes out back to do his job. Then we bring Toby in and Mac back out. So they are never together and are both happy. Toby likes our bed or front deck the best. Mac is loving the back yard and running around. And Papa and I go back there a few times a day and throw the ball and love on him. Most of the time Sandy goes back there too.  For a little yapper dog... he doesn't bark that much. Sandy barks at the wind. lol Mac has been a good boy. His kids come back today so he will be super happy!!!! So will Sandy!

Woke up early today with my back hurting. Not good. Papa took off blackberry picking already. He waits all year for them to come out. Now he needs to figure out how to make seedless blackberry jam and he will be in hog heaven. He makes the best blackberry pie already....but we cannot have those around! He finally got his blood sugar down to normal last night so I am very proud of him. He's been working all week on it!  Now he needs to keep it up! He is trying to get healthier along with me. We both need it for sure!
Today is my cousins big picnic.  We aren't going this year. For several reasons. The past couple we took mom. I just cannot bear to go without her. Still too tender. Plus Lauren is coming over to spend the night and we haven't seen her in a week. And there are other reasons but needless to say....we just can't go. I am sure everyone will have a great time without us anyways. Maybe next year I will be ready.

I remember that BBQ and your Mom and Aunt Lorraine being there! My first family reunion was really tough after my Dad passed away, I took a picture of him and put it on the table:) That way I felt he was there!

Keep it up with the taking care of yourself! I honestly believe that you can extend your life by eating healthy and exercising:) I eat pretty healthy but fail in the exercise department! Perhaps you will be my inspiration!

Enjoy your weekend dear friend, hope it is a great one! HUGS!
