Payday week and a productive week it was!

Today is Friday! Don't know why it excites me when everyday seems like Saturday around here!  I love retirement.  I love being home with my honey every day!  It has been a good week. We don't do much but clean house, watch tv, play with the cat, walk the dog, ride my exercise bike, and sleep. It is a good life.

Birds eye view.

Of course, Monday we took the car into the shop. That was a good thing. It isn't ready yet. Won't be ready until next week. They had to order another part. Meanwhile, Karla (daughter) got a new car! Nissan Altima. She is one happy girl! Can't blame her!

Tuesday we went to Costco. I posted that we were going on Facebook and Andrew called and wanted to meet us there! That was fun! Love spending time with grandkids. Of course, Andrew will let me know if I don't need to buy something. haha! We shopped around awhile. I got some flannel sheets, got slippers for Andrew, and got the usual. Overspent as usual too. Then the 3 of us sat and had Costco dogs together.  They were good!

Wednesday we went to Walmart to finish shopping. Spent too much again. I don't care if the workers go on strike at most grocery stores because I have enough food in this house to last a couple months!!!! lol!  Cupboards, frig and freezer are stuffed.

Thursday the propane guy came out and filled our tank. It is for our fireplace. Love it!  I am sitting here with the fire going this morning too.  So nice. The cat doesn't know what to think but he'll learn to love it.
Speaking of pets, papa took them to the Big Valley Pet Resort in the morning. Kitkat got his nails cut and Toby stayed for a hydrobath, nails cut, ears cleaned, etc.... He is so soft and wonderful! Smells good too.

I picked up Toby and took him home and then ran and got Papa a $5.00 footlong from Subway. Stopped at McDonalds and got Lauren lunch. And of course all the little Seagulls had french fries too because I always buy extra fries! "Mine, mine, mine, etc...." We had so much fun! The girls love me...especially the one covering her mouth. She said I am so awesome I should star in a magazine. I got lots of thank you's and 4 hugs! All over cold, gross McDonald fries. lol!
Fighting over fries (Lauren's friends)

Lauren politely drinking her milk.

I've been doing this for 3 or 4 years now. I am getting to know the girls pretty good. This will be my last year. :(  Next year they will be at the Middle School (Junior High). The girls are growing up!

Next, I ran to Albertsons to get final groceries because I didn't get enough or spend enough! lol!  Grabbed a bag of apples that was marked $3.00 off the bag, but found out at the check stand the bag was over $23.00!!! Washington is the apple state and they want me to pay that price for apples? I just want to make a crisp like I always do every fall! Not for that price....I said no thank you. I bought a bag of chicken (8 piece) for an easy dinner and the pieces were so small they look like they came off a game hen!  I don't know if you can tell here, but they were ridiculous! A wing. The leg was more like a wing.

So I did what any person would do and wrote a letter to Albertsons!  Within 24 hours they said they were sending me a $10.00 gift card! I didn't expect that! I just wanted them to know I will not go back and get their chicken and how bad it was!  Wow. No wonder my mom would write letters to complain when she was mad. It works!  My dinner was still ruined though.

Well, the doc changed my meds back.  I'm not as crabby but still tired. Only been a few days so we'll see how it goes.

Loving this week in TV.  New shows and returns!  Some I was impressed with and others I am not.  We will see what happens.

Thanks to my girl for stealing getting some pictures of our son Ryan at his graduation!  I appreciate it since I messed it up!!!!

Well, that's all I got. This weekend is suppose to be real nasty!  Rainy and windy! We are suppose to go see Lauren play soccer. It will be the first one we've been to this season.  I hope she still plays.

Have a great weekend! Stay dry and warm and GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

Monday.  I shouldn't be crabby but I am.  I know it is my med's now.  I don't know why she changed my anti-depressent.  I thought I was doing great! I was happy! Now I am miserable.  Messing with my brain.   Depression runs in my family.  These are my symptoms right now:  nervous, angry, restless, trouble concentrating, memory problems, weakness, unsteadiness, muscle stiffness, confusion, sweating, diarrhea, dry mouth. totally spacey and foggy headed, and SO tired!!!!!
I sent a message to my doctor today to find out what she thinks. I've been on this for over a week. Guess we'll see what's up.  I hate it when they mess with my med's.
Yesterday was another Seahawks win!!!!  They are sooo fun to watch this year!  Took Maddie to her rehearsal yesterday and it was raining really hard. Nasty driving. We went and picked up McDonalds and took her home.  She wanted to go home since I didn't have Lauren with me. lol!  So I just came home, watched the Seahawks, took a little nap, and made the best Hamburger stroganoff!!!  It was so delicious I will never be able to duplicate it. haha!
We took the car to the shop to get fixed this morning. We had to be there by 8 so it was an early morning!
Andrew started college today!!!!  Well, technically he is in running start so he is a freshman at college and a senior at high school.
Been playing with KitKat a lot lately. He is being good about not going outside. Of course it is a bit rainy lately and he hates the rain.

He's done playing.

I put my scarecrow up front.  My mind is blowing because of the flowers, though.  They are growing like crazy right now! lol!

Well....lunch time!  Have a great week! xoxo

This week went fast!!!! Happy Saturday?

I cannot believe I haven't posted since Monday. Today is Saturday. And I am hurting.  I will explain later if you care. lol

Monday we talked to the insurance and got things all straitened out. It is really not fun to deal with insurance companies. We also went and picked me up a new recliner chair and got some groceries in the house. It is leather, which I am not a fan of but it will be ok. I will get used to it.

Tuesday was the day Ma (Lanny's mom) died 5 years ago.  It was a sad day, but it is hard to be too sad when she was suffering so. She died of stomach cancer and she died at home holding Rita and Becky's hands. She lived in Oklahoma. I miss that she is not here anymore. I miss her laugh and the way she said my name. I miss Lanny's softness whenever he talked to her on the phone. He loved his mom so much! Her and Mimi were the only ones always there for him and now they are both gone. But we will see her again when we get home to Heaven! What a day of rejoicing that will be!

Wednesday we watched Survivor.  We love that show. Look forward to it every season.  I stayed up and watched the Big Brother finale too.  Very disappointed with this season. It was bad and the winner didn't deserve to win at all. Lame

Thursday I took Andrew to breakfast. It was wonderful. We went down to the Oak Table in Kingston.  The prices are too high but the food is really good. It is where Andrew used to work.  Andrew is my grandson...17 year old Senior in high school...and I am so proud to be his grandma!

We talked mostly about the Lord. We talked about false teachers, things to be aware of, God, his presence, etc... God has given Andrew a great wisdom, insight and love. I am so proud of Andrew and so thankful to God. God has big plans for this boy.

Friday night we went to Ryan's graduation!!!! It was in Bremerton. Friday nights are terrible!!!!  We were going to go to our favorite restaurant for dinner and I was excited for the evening. Well, Ryan called and said the traffic was backed up for miles on the other side of Bremerton so we skipped dinner there. We decided to just stop by Burger King on the way to graduation. It was packed. So we kept driving and went to Jack in the Box on the east side of Bremerton. ugh!!!! It was so nasty.  It was dirty and the curly fries were nasty and they screwed up my order. The evening wasn't going so well.  We get to the auditorium and looking for a place to sit. Lanny wants to sit way in the back to make a hasty departure (just like church) and he didn't want to get too far from the bathroom.  While looking for a spot to sit I missed a step and fell down two.  I jarred my back and right side.  Doesn't feel too good today. Not just my back but kind of all over. So we sat in back and I thought "this night sucks!!!!" Then Ryan came to where we were sitting and that made my night.  We are sooooo proud of him. After 4 years he graduated from the Apprenticeship program!  It is huge!  It was awesome to see him get his diploma.  I screwed up when he went up there and thought I was recording it and it flashed and I tried to see but by then he was done shaking hands with all the Navy Captains etc.  I thought "of course!" So then I was more crabby.  I did get these pictures of Andrew and Lauren who looked sooo nice!

oh, and here is the graduation...ryan is in there somewhere.

We snuck out the back after that and were driving home and getting paranoid of traffic. So Lanny pulls over and lets me drive. I was less nervous driving than riding...but still really tense when I got home.  Then cried because I worried that I ruined Lanny's night too. We were both pretty cranky by the time we got home. I don't know if it was the night or if it is because the doctor switched my anti-depressant last week.  Even Lanny stopping on our way out of there to use the bathroom irritated me!  So today I am paying for it in pain. lol!

Papa just went to walmart. I am going back to bed. That's the name of that.  Have a great Saturday and Sunday!!! Go Seahawks!
