Wonderful Picnic!!!!

The sisters are together.... very emotional day! Tears of happiness.... laughter... it was awesome!
I brought deviled eggs.... thanks to Lauren helping me!
Picked up mom and got stuck in I-5 traffic. Took a few missed turns but finally arrived. To see my Aunts face when mom walked into the gate was priceless. I was holding on to mom with Lois so I couldn't get a picture. I think someone did and I will post it. We were all in tears!
We had an added bonus! Landon (Aunt Lorraine's grandson) and his wife Erica came from Portland. He is June's son. We had a great time getting to know them. Great people... so sweet. They followed us home to mom's and visited awhile.
Lois, Don and Denise came.... Don and Lois weren't feeling well... so I am so happy they all made it!
And my brother Rick and his wife Connie made it again this year! It's the only time I see my sister-in-law! She is a busy lady!
Mom and her daughter.... nice face mom!
Have to have a picture of me and my favorite cousin, Bob! I don't know if you can see my eyes... beet red and watery! Allergies leading into infections? Woke up with my right eye sealed shut again today. grr. Good thing we look awesome in this picture though! lol!
And here I am with his daughter, Amy! I love Amy! She is my girl!
Amy's husband, Jon is cooking and has tons of friends at his feet. There are alot of dogs there... everyone brings their dogs. The dogs have a blast.
Aunt Lorraine is happy with her grandchildren there; Landon and wife Erica, Lindsey (who brought her out from South Dakota) and my Aunt (who looks happier than this picture shows!)
Our family... impossible to get a decent photo... Lanny got off the deck and Rick was oblivious to the fact we were taking a picture. He was visiting with someone and kept getting up to get some dessert.
But here is some of us.... Denise, me, Aunt Lorraine, Lanny, Mom, Lois and Don, Connie and Rick.
The DeLay family.... Bob, Holly, Dale, Larry and Michael.
Mom saying goodbye to Bob.
Our family wrestler (seriously) Grant... is taking his Aunt Elaine to the car. So sweet. Lois behind them making sure she wouldn't fall. Grant is a pretty strong guy... don't think she was going anywhere. lol!
The ride home was a blast! Aunt Lorraine and I sat in the back and she is talking really good! I had no trouble understanding her. When I couldn't I would give her a blank look and we would burst out laughing. I laughed so hard on the way home! Got to mom's apartment and got all 7 of us inside after introductions all the way through the lobby. lol! We visited for awhile and then left. Came home, posted, pictures and slept.
And here I am.
My brain is in a fog! I was exhausted, took Nyquil and was in bed by 8:30. Woke up at almost 8:30... 12 hours later. Makes me more tired. I could go to sleep right now! lol!

Hope you have a very nice Sunday. Going to mom's again. If we wake up enough. ;D

It was a Fabulishes Friday!

So much for blogging at night. lol! It is morning again and I just like blogging with my cup of coffee I guess.

Yesterday turned out to be such a wonderful day! I called Sharon to wish her a happy birthday and invited them out for breakfast! We went to their house and Sharon rode with me and Lanny went with Ron. It was so great visiting with her! We went to Big Apple Diner ... which Ron and Sharon had never been to before!! They loved it! I am surprised we ate almost everything (huge portions) because it seemed like our mouths were talking all the time. What I love about best friends... when you get together it feels wonderful... like you just picked up. I think Sharon had a wonderful birthday breakfast!

One thing Sharon and I talked about was mocking God.There were several times in my life I was playing church.... when I was mocking God. They were huge regrets and I always paid for it in the worst way.... but God was forgiving and good. He gave me another chance and brought me back to His loving arms. I wasn't happy during my rebellion... which is what it was. I wanted to do what I wanted to do.... party with friends, close out his voice, fit in with the crowd. Going after things you think will make you happy just because you laugh more and have this false sense of happiness. It is fake. Some things in my life will never be the same and I pay for that... but He will not be mocked. I let God down... and I let people down who were watching my walk with God... and those things hurt me more than anything. People watch you... you are someones roll model.
My life is on track and God has blessed me beyond my own imagination. I have the best husband and a good life. And He alone is responsible. My prayer for you is.... if you are playing games with God and have walked away from his arms and church and you can feel it..... RUN back. And don't look back! Sometimes in life we need to get away from people, situations, whatever it takes to get us away from temptations where we will be playing the games we KNOW God won't put up with....
and we always need to give credit where credit is due! Did Jesus die in your place? Acknowledge it! Give Him praise! Did he change you.... take the change and embrace it! Are you ignoring or throwing away all He has done for you or denying it. Not good. Think about these things.

We went shopping at Walmart after breakfast.... ran into Ron and Sharon there! We laughed! Got our groceries and after we got home Lauren called with exciting news. She was spending the night! So I went and got her, Andrew and Sandy. I am really sad to see the older kids growing up. Mam's house is not fun anymore. It is boring for them. The younger kids still love it. So Andrew only stayed until I took him to Goonies (youth group) but didn't stay the night. :( It happens. I knew it was coming. But I am still a bit sad.

Well... we have a busy day today. After we take Lauren and Sandy home we have to pick up my mom and head to Maple Valley to a family picnic. It is with the DeLay family (cousins). My Aunt Lorraine will be there with her grand daughter Lindsey! So excited to see everyone!!! I worry this will be too much for mom but we will watch her. We will take Aunt Lorraine and Lindsey back to mom's until Wednesday. Pray for mom. She is so wobbly and tired. Pray for strength for today and this week. She has been looking forward to this for soooo long!

Have a wonderful day yourselves!!!! xoxo

Thankful Thursday

I can't believe Friday is finally here. I am going to try to change up and post in the evening tonight. I feel like I am always a day behind on my post! lol!

Yesterday was a busy day.... taking mom to doctors, etc. It's like a Mary thing all over.. but with my mama! We miss Mary so much!!!! I cry thinking about her. Mary was always the one who decided where to have lunch and i tell ya... mom and I can't make that decision!!!! Mary usually knew where she wanted to go before I even picked her up. And shopping is different because Mary knew exactly the brand and size she wanted of everything.... very picky. Mom just says I need some tuna. I ask "Tuna or albacore?" She says "Albacore". I ask "water or oil?" she gives me an exasperating look like I am bugging her with questions... and the says "water." I am just used to Mary being so specific. Mom wants what she wants too... she just doesn't tell me. I have to drag it out of her! And then gives me the look for asking so many questions!!! She drives me crazy! But I love her so much and I am cherishing these days with her... every moment is precious. I have learned through Lanny, Mary and others.... you never know how much time you have with someone so spend time with people you love! Especially grandparents and parents. Build up memories you can hold onto when they are gone.
Any way... on my way to moms... got stuck at the bridge. I can't really get mad.... not when it is Navy boats. The Navy is what keeps my husband and family members working! This is what went through and everyone was taking pictures and doing the touristy thing.Stopped to help Maddie with something on the computer but Karla decided Maddie isn't playing ToonTown any more. Her computer freezes up and she has to restart it when Maddie plays. She can't afford to have her computer crash. Good point. I have to agree. My computer does the same thing.

Picked up mom (who was sleeping and woke up crabby) and we grabbed a small bite to eat at Burger King drive thru and went to her doctor. We got there 15 minutes early but was taken to a room immediately. Waited there 30 minutes for Dr. Vasin. He doesn't like her blood work numbers... her kidneys aren't doing good but we already knew that....but he said she shouldn't be as tired as she is. She is not sleeping well at night. Maybe once that changes... she will... so we're working on that.
We got done about 2... her appt in the same office with the surgeon was scheduled for 1:45. Saw him at 3:30. Long wait. He was very happy with her arm and how it is coming along. That was about it. We were very glad we ate because it was 4:00 by the time we left.
We went out for taco's! Actually brought them to mom's after our walmart, pharmacy and albertson's stop.
They were really good. I NEVER go out for taco's. Papa makes great taco's... better than anyone.
After dinner I put her groceries away, refilled her pills, put Dr appts on her calender, and took her laundry home. She was a happy person.... but exhausted. I love my mom.

I write lots of detail because this is my journal too so I have this to look back on one day... like I can with my Mary days... and smile.

Papa is off today. Going grocery shopping. That is all. Hope you have a wonderful day. ;D

Julie asked me about Lance.... the marine in Afghanistan.... here is the link for the mother-in-law... wonderful blogger and sweet person in Iowa. I've only met her through blogging. http://greenacres4me.blogspot.com/
