HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRUFF!!!!

Today is Scruffy's 6th birthday!  First one we get to celebrate with him!  I have grown to love this boy so much you can't imagine! He is my buddy and totally devoted to me! He protects me from the cat and papa. He doesn't even like us hugging!  He never bites, but he growls.  He growls when he plays with papa all the time. He isn't territorial but acts like he is with his rubber bone. But he likes you to take it from him. He is so funny!  If I get up and leave the room he is my shadow. No matter where I go. When I make the bed he gets on it and tries to stop me and barks and wags his tail. He won't go to bed until I do. He sleeps next to me. If I stick my leg out in the night because I am hot, he will start licking my leg. It is so funny. I'm for love and Papa is for play and walking and feeding. I don't think he will steal this dogs affection from me. Scruffy is obsessed with me. Seriously. Happy birthday my sweet baby boy!!!!

Lauren went to her first Christian Youth Conference and came back closer to God and she said "Full of Jesus!!!!!"  She loved it! She loved being with all her friends and brother. It is awesome to see her growing in the Lord. God is so faithful and works in ways that amaze me.  She came and spent the night with us Saturday.  Grandkids don't stay as much as they used to. They grew up. Which makes me sad but I totally understand. I was young once. lol!  Well, best go watch my Cutthroat Kitchen. We love this show. Papa and I both watch cooking competition shows. We love them!!!  Have a great week!!!!!

I don't have a lot to write about except my sugar levels are finally starting to go down.  Now they are going to put Papa on insulin in the evening at a low dose. He has to check it in the morning and have a shot in the evening.  Beth told us yesterday that they probably shouldn't have taken me off a certain pill when they added my insulin because that is probably why it took so long for numbers to go down.  They aren't going to do it with papa. We are on the road to healing. Yay!  I know I am feeling better finally!

With my new positive health  I am having a new positive attitude!  Lately I have been feeling hurt by a family members. I can't let this happen anymore.  I cannot let people control my feelings because of their actions or emotions. I am such a people pleaser! If I feel like I did something wrong it crushes me. I want everyone to feel happy and loved!  I can't please everyone no matter how hard I try.  So instead of taking it all personally and making it about me.... I am going to do this: LET IT GO! Let go and Let God work on peoples hearts.

That being said, I am going to let negative thinking go. I'm not going to worry about what others are doing or not doing. I don't need the worry. God can handle them.  I am going to be a positive thinker and I am not going to complain every day about things I cannot change. Especially Facebook negativity!!!! Yay me!

Well, my poor grandsons.  Patrick hurt his knee a week or so ago and had to go to emergency.  He had to have an MRI yesterday and they will find out today what the outcome is.  Then the other day Parker and Jared were playing and Jared got his finger jammed and had to go to emergency and has to go see an orthopedic surgeon soon.  Poor Heather.  Keep this family in your prayers, please? She has 4 energetic boys!

Grand daughter Lauren made 1st chair in band. She just started and it doing pretty good!  They learned "This Old Man" and she is the only one that figured out it is the same tune to Barney's "I Love You, You Love Me.". haha!

Today is my friend's birthday. Her name is Marcey.   I miss her. I haven't seen her in over a year!

Tomorrow is my friend from over 43 years, Ronnie Todd's birthday!  He's been like a brother to me!

And we have a very special day tomorrow!!! Our son, Ryan, is turning 37 years old! I hate we can't celebrate with him this year. :(  Praying he has a wonderful day (even at work) and his relationship with God draws closer and closer.  Love him so much!!!!

Death, birthdays, and football!

It is already October. Not my favorite month. Not my favorite time of the year. Lost my mom, my mother-in-law, my nephew, my aunt, my dog, etc..... and my dad. He died 10 years ago today. People who have never lost a parent or close loved one probably doesn't understand and may think it is morbid to remember and acknowledge every year but I will never forget. I can't. When you lose a parent you love like I did my dad...part of you leaves you too. Does anyone else feel this way?  And I never want to forget. I acknowledge my dad on his birthday, Fathers Day and the day he went to be with the Lord. Important days in my life. When God sent him, took him, and of course Fathers Day.

I have been feeling better. My insulin isn't where it should be yet. Frustrating. But they keep upping it. It has to get right sooner or later.

Lanny's cousin passed away recently.  Very sudden and sad.  RIP Pete Brazeau.

My mama's birthday passed on the 28th.  I posted on facebook but not here.  Miss her so much! Here are pictures I have of her from past birthdays....

My grandson, Dylan, turned 17!!! Cannot believe it! Time just keeps moving on and on and on. It seems like I was just babysitting him. Not he has had his license and driving his own car for a year, has had a pretty, sweet girlfriend for a couple years, and is a Junior in high school. Love this boy!!!

We took him out to dinner. It was nice...just the 3 of us. Papa had fish & chips and chowder and Dylan went with the Shrimp and chips and chowder.  I had the usual except in small version.

We haven't been doing too much.  I've been throwing paperwork away. Papa has been shredding and just got to start burning again now that the burn ban is over.

My niece is suppose to come stay with me for a couple days.  I would love it.  I love her so much!

Well, I already cleaned this morning and moved plants on the porch. Guess I am done. Time to watch some football!!!! Seahawks play tomorrow night. Have a great day and week!!!!!
