Mom goes out... Toby goes in!

Good morning!  Hope your day is going good! Mine is! I have Lauren sleeping peacefully on the couch and Papa covered up in his chair... the animals are eating their breakfast and all is good this morning.

Mama is home!  I got to the hospital a little after 10... she told me to hurry when I called her because she was getting out of there. When I got there she was still in bed sleeping!  I let her sleep until about 11:30 while I talked to the nurse and got the ball rolling on her release. Then I got her dressed and got the CNA in to help with the monitor tabs etc... and she packed everything but the kitchen sink into her bag. She was wonderful and so fun!  She washed mom's hair again with that cap shampoo. The coolest thing ever!  Then we went to the van where they hugged goodbye and said they loved each other.  Wow. They bonded. Her name is Charlene... in case mom ever asks me I am writing this here! lol!  I took her home and Libby met us with the walker. She had the apartment clean and fresh, was doing bills and had mom's blanket cranked up. Mom went straight to bed... she was tired.  I went to the pharmacy to get her new medications and came back and redid her meds. Libby put up mom's Christmas decorations for her and Lois came to spend a couple nights with mom.  I love teamwork! We all have our things we do best and are doing them!  Libby and I had a chance to sit and visit yesterday.  We almost started crying. Taking care of her does take away from our family.... but we only have one mom.  Nothing can be more important right now.  We've wanted our kids to understand... they only have one grandma and they need to call her  or stop by once in awhile.  I love her and she has so much to offer when you start talking with her. I think that is why I have always been drawn to the elderly. They are so wise, loving, and full of amazing stories about their lives. History. I am making myself cry!!!!

Today papa stayed home again. I have Makoa and Lauren (grade-schoolers have no school today but the middle school and high school does). We need to take Toby to the vet at 10:30.  This is tough... we don't have the money for this but he has to be seen and he is our responsibility!  I want him better above all else.  My poor baby.

Memory pictures are great this time of year....

Loving life today!

Good morning! I am in an awesome mood today! No negativity from this person! Why am I so happy? I am happy because of my Lord and Savior.... He gives me joy!  I watched the video I posted here today and you cannot help but rejoice and worship Him! Try it! I triple dog dare you!

Plus I love my family!  I love my grandchildren!  I love it that Andrew calls me on his way to the bus stop and we talk about the Lord.  I love that Dylan calls me after school as he walks to Maddie's school to help out and talk wrestling, school and music! I love the texts I got from Jordy!  Loved the phone call from Maddie last night after her first basketball practice! I love hearing from my grandkids! That makes me smile!  I love hearing from my kids too (hint hint)....lol!

I love my mom is feeling better thanks to prayers from my friends and God's healing touch!  It sounds like she gets to come home today!  I don't have Koko today so I am going to the hospital. I miss mom.

I love my friends that pray for me and my family.  And in return... I pray for them. Praying for my friend who lost her mama Thanksgiving morning.  This is a rough time for her... I am glad she does have the peace of knowing where her mother is now.

I am asking all of you to pray for my dog, Toby. I don't think it is weird to pray for an animal. He has had a thing on his leg.. he keeps it clean and doesn't seem to be in any pain... can run and everything. I am asking God to heal it totally. Please pray along with me!

Also say a prayer for my son, Kevon, and my brother, David... both fighting this nasty cold going around!!!

I haven't bought one Christmas present yet and there is only one payday before Christmas!!! Wow. Not good.  I have to remember it's all about Jesus!  Giving gifts is fun, though.

Oops... I said no negativity. sorry.  But I know you understand. Well... need to do my Talking the Word blog now. Hope you check it out and comment on it. I wanted it to be a place we can encourage and study together.

Hey, my right hand is itching! Am I going to get some money????

Have a wonderful Thursday!!!!

Makoa's world... at mam's anyway!

First of all the positive...then you can stop reading if you don't want any negativity in your day! lol!

Makoa.... what a delight!  I love him so much! When I am blue he makes me laugh. He distracts me from thinking too much.  He is funny, snuggly, and just the cutest kid anywhere. I got some cute pictures yesterday!

Papa was home yesterday and Makoa HAD to sit with Papa. He didn't want much to do with me.. it was all about papa.  I must have heard his name 3,498 times at least yesterday. It would have been more but Makoa had a nap. lol

He loved the Santa hat!

He knew he had a tassle on the end and kept trying to find it... you'll see it on the video below. We laughed so hard!

What a sweety

Toby needs a hat!

Cheeeese! Ok... this is how I normally look without makeup. No comments please! lol!

Tasting pumpkin pie

Loving pumpkin pie!

Making a mess on his face
Nummm... he makes it look so good!

After using my shirt... I gave him this to clean up with!
He wanted every bite!

"Maybe if I use my fingers!"

Oh yea...this works!

This works even better!

Also wanting attention... Toby dog!  Here he is with his Reindeer. We buy him a Santa and Reindeer every year to play with.  He loves his toys... he never touches the kids toys. He knows.

Makoa trying to play with him!

One more video (I removed it.. you couldn't see it) ... he was watching Yo Gabba Gabba and he started dancing like crazy.  This doesn't do justice to how he was really doing... but I laughed so hard!  See how entertaining he is?

I got my first two Christmas cards yesterday! One from Heather with the family picture in... the other from Lanny's Aunt Thelma and Bob.  I guess I should get started on mine.  Everyone used to get mine first.... I was so known for it that one year around the 4th of July I got 5 Christmas cards.... they wanted to beat me! lol! A conspiracy.

Well... here goes Debbie Downers turn.  I gained weight. I haven't been able to walk because of my pain in the heel.  I don't know what  I am going to do.  Sucks.
I am mad at Obama.  Worthless president.  He proposed a two year pay raise for government employees. I doubt that includes himself or elected officials at all.  I guess Lanny gets no raise so Obama can continue all the trips he takes!!!! Must be nice. I pray for our country but not thrilled with the leadership.  I'm not alone there.
It sucks to do dishes by hand. My brother said he may have a dishwasher... but he is as dependable as mine is right now! He was suppose to come over and look at the garage door. He was suppose to move in.  I'm tired of chasing him down.  I firmly believe "let your yes be your yes and your no be your no"  He frustrates me and I just don't know if I want to deal with it. Call me cranky but I really dislike that in a person.
Back to the dishwasher.... Heather has one that never fit under her counters... so she said if I haul it I can have it. There lies the problem. Nothing to haul it with.
So my hands will be wrinkly.  Funny how modernized we get over the years. Wouldn't life be harder now without a microwave, computer, tv, cell phone, cable, etc????  Spoiled Americans! lol!

Yesterday was a very emotional day for me... ups and downs. Makoa was an up. Mom was a down... mostly.  I talked to her in the morning and she was saying they couldn't regulate her heart rate and blood pressure. So I got ahold of the cardiologist's m.a., Christy, and she said mom has to request her. Mom didn't but it did get stable. I couldn't get any answers about what was going on and freaking out a bit. I talked to my brother in Virgina a couple times... he is the one that works cath lab there... he is used to my personality and can calm me easily. I said "Do you want to call the nurse and find out what is going on with mom or should I? She should be getting BETTER not WORSE!!!" He said "I'll call." He is smarter than me and knew I wasn't in the frame to call. lol! So he found out she is getting better... just sleeping alot. I drove in last night by myself (I hate driving at night and in the rain) but wanted to see for myself she was ok! She was asleep... she woke up for a minute... and I left her to sleep. The visit did nothing to reassure me. I cried on the way home and I got a text from Andrew. "Ps

I guess this is long enough!  Thanks for always being there to listen. You guys are all the best!!!! xoxo
