good news bad news
My grandkids all had good days.... some had fabulous days! But they are all happy to get back to their friends! The nervous jitters are gone and they are starting their routine! ;D Here are some of the 1st day of school photo's I stole from facebook of my grand kids. First is the girls.... 3 of them now 2nd graders!!!

And Jordy is in junior high school.... her and Dylan both are in 7th grade! One looks happier to go than the other. lol!

And our high schooler! Andrew is a freshman.
I haven't got Heather's boys yet... but I've talked to them and they all had great days! Even Parker. ;D
So prayers have been answered.
Now we need the Lord to heal my mom. I know He is... and we just need to have patience. I think when the stuff is finally out of her system she will be so much better. She was about the same yesterday. Eating very little, sleeping alot, and not very patient with being there. My sister just talked to her on the phone and she was getting a bath. She said her voice sounded stronger but the bath will wipe her out I am sure. Going to clean house and head over there today.
Some other sad news. I won't have Makoa for over a month. :(((((( That is so sad!!! Kapono's mom is coming on Wednesday for a month and will be taking care of makoa. I am so sad. Angela is so sad for me. I don't think Kapono gets it. lol! Angela said I need to go over there so he doesn't forget me! What will I do with myself???
On a sadder note.... my friend Cindy posted this on her site. This is LCPL CHRISTOPHER "BLAKE" RODGERS. She met his dad on facebook (many parents of the military kids bond like that) and he helped me pray for my Justin while deployed and Blake was deployed in January just after Justin was deployed in December!! They got the news yesterday that he was killed in Afghanistan!!! Please keep the Rodgers family in prayer!!! I can't imagine.
Leaving this blog with a more upbeat note....
1. My sister is moving this month to mom's old home..... I am so excited! She's been living in Yakima which is over the pass and a few hours away!!! Now she'll be closer! And my niece and brother-in-law!
2. I am cleaning my house.... I am excited because it needs it so bad
skip that number 2... just talked to mom and i need to go kick some butt. They left her in the chair to bathe her an hour ago and never came back. Asked her if she wanted the breakfast menu... and never came back! I know they are busy but that is my mom. I just called to speak to the charge nurse... apparently she is on another line with my brother. lol! I need to dress and head in there.... til later!

Back to School for all the GK's!

Busy day today for all my grandkids!!!! They are ALL starting school today... first time they have ever started on the same day! Like I said yesterday... Andrew is going into 9th grade... high school! They are all growing up so fast.... it seems like yesterday when my kids were going into high school! I am posting pictures of different years of 1st days.... the first one being me with a puzzled look... the 2nd one being papa. The rest you can figure out....

Remember to thank the teachers.....
I am sure you want to know how mama is doing. Yesterday she wasn't so great when I got there. I was hoping she would feel better. But her doctor said her Digoxin level is 2 now.... it was 3.... best being between 1-2. I would like to see it totally out of her system! Side effects are too hard on her! She finally ate a few bites of turkey and mashed potatoes at lunch. She had some Chicken Noodle soup at dinner and kept it all down! She is resting alot! She was very depressed yesterday because she wants to be healed NOW! I talked to her.... telling her to let God and the doctors do their thing while she is here (hospital) and she just needs to do hers... eat, drink, rest, and be patient. Keep prayers going. Dr. Arthur's nurse was working the floor and came in to visit mom. That was sweet. Lanny took have the day off to try to cheer her up. She went to sleep so we came home. Her pastor, Joel Wood, came by and so did our brother David! I am sure she was happy to see them. Cousin Holly stopped by and left her a note (she was asleep). I'll go in there this afternoon when Makoa leaves. Let her rest and pray she is feeling better.
It was nice to run into Lanny's cousins at the hospital! We visited for awhile.... it was his cousin Dave and wife Marcey, cousin Cheryl and husband Gene, Joe's love... I can't remember her name, and Toni! I loved seeing them.... they were waiting for cousin Joe... who was having work done on heart (I can't remember what it is called and my brother teaches and does it at a hospital in Virginia... duh! I am losing it!)
Anyway... I also saw my high school friend, Julie, and her brother Rob! Her dad was having a procedure done so they were waiting for it to be finished.
Busy day at the hospital!
Well... that's all, folks! Hope you all have a great day! I am praying for mom and the grandkids! Also for our military people!!! Can never forget them!!!! xoxo
