Thursday the 26

Watch out for brakes ahead!!!  A slowdown has been issued.  Monday we went to the gym and had a horrible time.  Lanny's breathing was awful and I couldn't get going with my breathing and side pain.  So disappointed.   Family encouraged us to keep going and they face the same problems. Then... what an afternoon we had on Tuesday!!! Papa was still having shortness of breath. He made a doctor appt for today. With his medical history I didn't think we should wait so I took him to urgent care. They ran tests on him: EKG, took lots of blood, urine, an xray, etc...the doctor called to discuss the situation with Lanny's primary doctor too. She said he had such an different history and complex. Come to find out his heart is ok! That was my biggest worry. His chest is full of fluid (the tissue) which is around the heart and makes the heart work harder and causes breathing problems. So they filled his IV full of Lasix and sent him home with some. He was feeling better by the time he left to come home. I was so thankful it wasn't his heart. We were told to slow down at the gym. We should have started going a couple times a week, then 3 and then every other day..... instead of just jumping into every other day. Too much too fast. We're going to continue going... just pacing ourselves better. lol! We're going 2 times a week for awhile, then 3, then 4. Plus the fact that Lanny cannot take Ibuprofen anymore. Needs to drink a lot more water and leave out salt. So that is where we were on Tuesday. And God is good! Lanny didn't have to go to the hospital and it wasn't his heart. Thank you God.

Wednesday we did a little of nothing.  Lanny rested (as much as he can).  Today he took the dog for a walk and his breathing felt great for the first time in a long time.  That is great!  He has his appointment at 2:00 so we shall see what is next.  He needs to see his cardiologist since it has been a couple years. Just because it has been 10 years since his heart attacks and surgery.

Grandson, Joshua, hurt himself playing basketball.  Was having muscle spasms in neck and back.  He is doing better last night.  He was in so much pain!  Poor kid!!!   Madi got 3 shots yesterday.  Both arms were sore but she is tough. Riley is still having a pain in her low back...14 months now and they can't seem to fix her!  She may have it her whole life.  Massage therapist working on it now.   She has seen everyone else.  So those are my prayer requests this week.

Tomorrow I need to go grocery shopping.  Unless I can persuade Lauren and Madi to help me today!  Give papa a break. lol!

Happy National Spouse's Day!   My favorite; me and papa, my dad's parents, my mom's parents, brad and tara, karla and joel, dad and mom, don and heather!!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY SISTER LIBBY AND KEVIN!!!

Well, I don't have much to write.  Have a great Thursday!
