The pole, Atlanta and memories

Today is Wednesday....See You At the Pole day.  I used to go to North Kitsap High School every Wednesday and pray for the school, teachers, students and country with my daughter Heather and sometimes the boys went. I called pastors and encouraged them to go. It is a national yearly thing now! I am not saying I started it. haha!  I jumped on the bandwagon though.
What I find really sad is Andrew dropped Lauren off at her school at 7 a.m. and he went up the hill to the high school.  Lauren was the only one who showed up at her school. It was so sad to me.  She was ok with it. She said she prayed by herself.  Next year I will make sure it is different. It was a ministry dear to my heart.

Today I went to Silverdale for my mammogram. Guess what. I sat and filled out the form and waited and they came out to tell me the machine was fouled up still. So I rescheduled and left. Went to get my pedicure and guess what? They were busy in there AGAIN so I gave up and went home. Not a very productive day.

Oh, I guess it was. We took the cat and dog in. Cat got pedicure and the dog got bathed, clipped, brushed and pedi.  He looks good except I think his bangs are too short.

I have friends in Georgia. I love these people. It is a whole huge family...aunts, cousins, sisters, nieces, nephews, etc... I love them all and would LOVE to be a part of their family. They are so close!  Any way I can't help thinking about them because Atlanta Falcons smoked their opponent last Thursday 56-14!  They were awesome!  I know many of them are Bulldog fans, too. I can't help cheer for the Falcons (unless they are playing the Seahawks. lol!  My son Kevon loves the Seahawks, but when he was younger he loved the Jets and Atlanta when he was in high school and middle school.  Still has a fondness for the teams.
He got "best hair" in middle school.

We beat the Denver Bronco's in a real tough rivalry game. It was a nail biter but we won in O.T! Of course the whiners are going to whine, right?

The bad about football is my grandson, Patrick, played his first game and bam...he got hurt. A helmet to the knee. He is still in so much pain and it happened Monday.  He went back to the doctor today and got pain killers and a shot. He may need an MRI. Xray didn't show anything but it might be a torn meniscus.  Meniscus tears refer to a tear in the shock-absorbing cartilage (meniscus) of the knee. It is the most common knee injuries. Keep him in your prayers. Poor Pat, if anything is going to happen it will happen to him. He is accident prone like his Uncle Ryan.
Taken before the game and the injury.

But I just LOVE football! It is my favorite. And smiling. Smiling is my favorite too.

Today wasn't a very smiley day for me. I hate days like this!!!!!  I think I get into my own head too much!

Karla did her walk on Sunday.  She raised over $300 and her goal was $200. I am so proud of her! In memory of Donny (my nephew and Karla's cousin)

Well, have a great week.  Happy Fall!
