Already school and Luna

Again, it has been over a week and I have no excuse for not writing on here. And again, I need to catch up and figure out what I have been doing the past week. lol! This is my journal, too.  Let's see, I missed Lauren all last week. She was at her other grandparents across the mountains for a visit. Riley went with her. So that made it a bit quiet.  The day before she left I went over and played cards with her etc... Had a day with her and it was fun.

My grandsons across the mountains started school last week.  Love the picture!

Still messaging my nurse, Beth. Every week I send my numbers and every week they up my dose. Maybe some day my blood sugar levels will be normal. I hope so. I am really tired of the numbers not going down like they should. I am not the most patient person.

Speaking of patience...even getting new pets I have no patience. I talked papa into getting another cat. I thought since Kit kat cannot go outside that maybe he would want a friend. We went with Madi to the Humane Society. They had free black cats. I love black cats! One actually stood out to all of us and touched our hearts.

She came up to the holes to get some loving.  A real sweetie. It takes forever to get help there and it takes forever before you get to walk out with a pet. It took over 3 hours. But we brought her home. She is sooooo tiny for a 3 year old girl. She has had a pretty rough go of it. When they found her she was in labor. All her kittens died. She almost died a few times too.  They took her female stuff out. that was only a week before we got her. When we got her home she started to cough. That was Friday. Saturday she started sneezing and her nose started running. Sunday her eyes began to run. She is still eating and going potty etc.... We were really getting worried.
On another note the second day we got her she attacked Scruffy and Kit Kat.  She hates them. This is where my impatience comes in.  If she can't like my pets and scare my other cat as much as she did, I need to get rid of her. That was my first thought. Poor Kit Kat hid up on top of the cupboards again. I wanted peace and got craziness. So I posted her on facebook hoping to find a good home. I put her on craigslist and got one nibble from Capital Hill in Seattle. No. Not taking her over there. And no one else on facebook wanted her. We couldn't take Luna back to the Humane Society because she is sick. Couldn't go get her nails clipped because she is sick. Pretty much stuck with her because she is sick.
Anyway, today we took her to the vet. I am so glad we did!!!! Our vet, Julie, love Luna. And Luna was so good for her! She let her take her temp (normal), check her vitals, eyes, nose, ears, heart, belly, stitches, checked her for fleas (none), clipped her nails. She has lost 3 ounces. (She just walked across my computer and sneezes all over it. Guess I'll be disinfecting it.) She has an upper respiratory infection. Julie gave us antibiotics.  And of course we need to keep her separated from the other animals for two weeks.  Which is good anyway because they are NOT ready to meet. And we need to wash our hands after being with Luna. Papa changes his shirt too. We don't want the others sick. On the way home papa pretty much said he is keeping her. She's been through enough already and we need to give her a chance. He has more patience. lol!  She is always kept in the den (papa's tv room) and it has the cat tree, a box with a hole in it, a litter box, and her food. Papa comes in here all the time with her and watches his recorded shows. It is harder for me because of Scruffy. It is rare when I can be out of his sight. He is probably at the door waiting for me to come out of the den now! Papa is at the store. So we have a new pet...to make a long story short! lol!

The weather has been so weird today. Sun / rain / windy where leaves are blowing by / muggy. Now it is raining and I have a fan on me because it is humid too.

We had an end of summer turkey the other day.  Tonight we are making turkey soup. Should be good. I'll just have to eat more veggies than noodles.

School starts for all the other grandbabies tomorrow in 5 different schools!  And Andrew goes to college at the end of the month.  Three of the girls are going into 6th grade!!!! Hard to believe. Two into the junior high or middle school. Whatever they are calling it. The other two in high school.  I cannot believe how fast they are all growing up!!!!

Well, I will hopefully post "first day of school" pictures tomorrow of the other grandkids!  I guess that is it! Hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend. We did nothing. Nothing at all. No labor no nothing.

Have a great week!!!! It will be a short one!
