HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!!!!

This little baby boy is my brother, David.  He was such a cutey pie. As the last of many children he was spoiled and loved. Still is. lol!  Today he turns 51. He is still handsome.

He looks like his mama but has skills like his daddy.

Mom as a baby
And his girls look like him and Grandma...especially Aly

But Jessica has that same sparkle in her eyes as her dad....

My life would have been so different without my brother. Who would have chased me down the driveway with a butter knife? Who would have given me a half box of eaten cracker jacks for my birthday?

Who else would have entertained my kids?

Who else would have freaked me out and tried to scare me?

Who else would have been the bunt of my jokes?

Who would have smacked my son's face with a snowball?

Who else would have bugged me?

I don't know how or when it happened, but somehow we went from this:

To this:

I think mama loved me best. Oh heck, we both drove her crazy...especially when we were together!!!!

But ya know what? I always and forever loved and will love you!

You may not be the perfect brother but you are mine and that's awesome!!!

happy birthday to heather!!!

Our Heather is having a birthday today!  So blessed by her.  She is one of the most caring and loving kids a mom could ever have and I really love her. And I know she will read this and I want to wish her HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Wish she was here. Papa would make her taco's and chocolate cake!  Well, here are some pictures of our Heather. Usually I try to post childhood pictures but here is the link to a previous ones if you want to see them.

Miley Cyrus seems to be the rage, her and her tongue. Miley has nothing on our family! We've been doing it longer than she has been born.  Mostly Heather! Here is proof!  I think it all started with batter licking...

Then she preyed on children....

and me!!!!!

Soon she went off on her own and was doing it out in public....

And teaching others....

Even her daddy!!!!

That is what Heather has been doing for 37 years!!! Hard to believe she has perfected her art while raising 4 kids, being an awesome wife, daughter and sister. She is our Heather!

Happy: Birthdays and homecomings! Sad: And Toby sick again?

It's been almost a week since my last confession. lol!  So I have a lot of catching up to do. Which is going to be weird because there isn't too much to talk about. Not much has been going on.

On Ryan's birthday we were invited over to his house for a yummy dinner of chicken strips, curley fries and chocolate cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles! Very delicious. And Lauren played Happy Birthday to her daddy on her guitar.

It was a great time.

The next day was the 10th and my nieces birthday, Alyssa. She is now 17! She is going for her drivers license in over a week. She is growing up so fast.  Where did this little girl go?

She is incredible. Smart, beautiful, athletic, sweet, caring, and an amazing girl who is growing up to be an awesome young woman. I love her so much!!!!!

Friday was homecoming for Andrew's school. He was in the parade with the seniors!

The next day was the homecoming dance. Andrew had asked Emily to go with him. Emily was Andrew's best friend in kindergarten and he said he was going to marry her. It was many years ago, but it was sweet he asked her to his last year of homecoming.  She is a sweet girl.

So sweet. And so  nice of him to ask me to come to the marina when they were taking pictures.  If you notice the one of Alyssa and her date, Carter was taken at the marina, too, for the same homecoming dance!

We also went to Lauren's soccer game.  She played so good!  She played goalie and stopped every ball!!!!  She didn't let them score at all. It was a scoreless game.

Sunday was a great day!!!! We made a turkey dinner and had guests!!!! I went and picked up brother David and then his girls Alyssa and Jessica.  Didn't take any pictures. :(   We ate and watched the Seahawks beat the Titans. Game was too close. My brother was freaking out!!!!  We had cake and ice cream.  Papa also went and got Lauren and Jalissa (her friend).  They went to check out the new house across the street going up and then down to the beach with David and the girls. Andrew came over and then he took Alyssa, Lauren and Jalissa home. I dropped off Jessica at her boy friends house (David wasn't too thrilled with it) and then the store and David home.  It was such a good day. Tired that night.

Monday we did nothing. It was a quiet day. Tuesday we did nothing. Lanny got a phone call from the nurse at group health about his blood sugar count. Not good. He has to go see Brody on the 29th.

For the past week Toby has had this cough. And everyday I have been on line trying to diagnose him since we just spent $500 on him last month. Major symtoms have been a wet cough, drooling, eyes watering.  His eating, drinking, and all the rest of his life is normal. Walking etc... is good too except drooling. I thought it was Reversed Sneeze but the drooling doesn't add up. So, anyway, we take him in this morning to the vet.  Dr. Daigle says he can feel something in his throat. So we had to leave him there to go under and get checked out. :(  Makes me sad.  He looked at me with those big brown eyes as we left him there. I hate that. But we need to find out what is wrong. Now it is 3:22 and no call yet. I will be calling there in about 1/2 hour if there is no call from them first. I am getting anxious.
Well....I hope the rest of your week is good!  God's blessings on all of you!
