Chillaxing....what a weird word.

Monday morning. I felt better last night than I do this morning.  Trying to get over this cold. Came down with it Friday and hoping it goes away fast. I am really praying Jael doesn't come down with it. She travels to Montana on Thursday and it would suck to ride a train that far (12 hours) sick!

Yesterday we spent the day doing nothing except playing on the computer, snuggling under blankets, eating, and watching tv.  Well...Jael and I did. Well, we didn't snuggle together... we had our own blankets. lol! Papa watched the Seahawks win another game! He was loving the game. We were loving Elf.  Papa took Jael to church at 5:00 and picked her up and took her to the store for some stuff.  Then she got cozy and comfy under the blanket on the couch with the laptop again. Papa and I watched Survivor. It was good but the person who won wasn't my favorite to win. Oh well... I didn't get a vote. lol!

Last week of school.  This Saturday is our family Christmas!  Should be a good time if Heather's family can get over the pass.  There is several feet of new snow and blizzard conditions. There was suppose to be a windstorm last night but we didn't hear anything.  May have snow tomorrow. Jael thinks it's kind of funny how we are when we see a snowflake.  In Montana they have it all winter long. haha.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful day.  May God bless you and keep guard over you and your family.
Why Santa won't be stopping by my house!!!!

I always seem to mention the cat.

What have I been up to?  Let's see. Nothing. Papa had jury duty. It was about a punk 20 year old that thinks he is beyond the law. It all started him going 60 and a 50 and a ticket would have been the end of it. But the kid wouldn't give the officer information or his license, etc.... would only crack his window, and had 3 guns on him. So he was arrested for resisting arrest. Then he served as his own lawyer and really made a fool of himself.   They didn't have to deliberate long.  Sure wasted tax dollars too.

The cat is fine. Making an appointment this week to get him neutered.  I am so hoping it will tame the beast. Something needs to.  He attacks for no reason. I think we are getting a real cat tree.  He's been good about the Christmas tree. He loses interest after awhile so I really don't want to spend too much on a cat tree.  Papa sure loves this animal.  He sits in his chair and puts his blanket on and the cat jumps up there and starts sucking on the blanket. Then walks in a circle and curls up on papas chest and goes to sleep. Every day they do this routine.

Right now we are having trouble keeping the cat in the house. It seems like every time the door is open he bolts out. Doesn't go far....but it is a pain.

We haven't seen too much of Jael.  She spends a lot of time at school and with Andrew. They brought Lauren here for dinner on Thursday.  Our best moments are in the morning when I take her to Andrew's...then he takes her to school.

Not much going on lately.  Of course the news out of Connecticut was horrifying! I cannot even wrap my head around it.  I thought about my kids.... the kids from my school.  Most of them are in Kindergarten now.  I cried.  I could help but think about how little and wonderful these precious little souls are.... and how helpless. As a teacher you get very protective. I cannot imagine what the teachers went through. I cannot imagine what anybody at that school thought...if they even had time to think.  I am soooo sad. Not only myself but the whole country.  I feel this was worse than any crime in history.....because they are just babies!

Well.... I am getting tired. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend and keep praying for those families that are grieving.

EP released today and jury duty...happy and sad day.

Happy Thursday!  It is a happy Thursday!  I am by myself all day today. Papa had to report for jury duty and was picked.  So he is there all day.  Took a lunch break and went to McDonalds.  I get the cat on my lap all day.  Jael is at school, of course.  Andrew will be bringing her home later.  (By the way.... Jael is Andrew's girlfriend). And her mom is a good friend of mine.

She is staying here a week before heading to Montana for Christmas. She is such a sweet girl.  I took her to Andrew's this morning. I get him, Lauren and a neighbor boy, Jonah, off to school every day. Now there are 4 I make sure go to school. Today is a very exciting day for Jael!  Her ep came out today.  She listened to it this morning for the first time with all the background music and changes and stuff. It sounds so good!!!!  Here is a link you can check it out if you want!

Yes, I am proud of her and happy for her and excited for her.  I like to support people like Jael.....someone who deserves it and has worked hard.

Hope you liked.

Lauren and Jonah were both sad this morning. Lauren because the move is happening tomorrow.  (Her best friend is moving to Texas!!!)

So they both cried last night.  She got teary eyed this morning. And then Jonah tells us they have to put their dog to sleep today because it attacked their other dog while they were in bed with Jonah. Not good.  So Jonah was pretty upset this morning. Not a great morning.  Good news / bad news kind of day.

Well, I might just take a nap. It is very quiet and peaceful here.  Hold my calls.
