Now this was a Crazy WEEK!

What another crazy week at the school. At home it isn't so nuts.... I come home, relax, eat dinner, watch some tv and go to bed. School was different. We did Spirit Week!  Monday was blue & white day and we boosted why we love our school. We made blue & white pom poms and had a nice day! Tuesday was different... it was crazy hair day. Some of the kids had crazy hair...some had crazy hats. I put this purple junk in my hair....never again.

Wednesday was my favorite... pajama day!
kids in my class in their jamas

Joined both classes for a movie and popcorn!

And Friday was Hawaiian Day and we had a picnic inside (because it was raining) of hotdogs, chips, corn on the cob and the fruit kabobs we made the day before!

Friday was fun but sad.... my little friend Jimmy had her last day at our school. Here we are saying goodbye.

Didn't get away from work at all this weekend either!  No kids... but since I am getting 5 new kids this week (all boys) Ms Burke and I had to trade rooms. It makes me sad because I liked being by the kitchen...it was very convenient.  Plus I had a paint sink. Plus I loved the window where you could see who was coming and going from the parking lot.  This room is bigger and brighter so that is good.  It will work for us.  Not going to complain... Sarah and I made it work. I had alot of help from Maddie and Lauren both days and papa was a HUGE help. I couldn't have done it without them. I am very happy! Yesterday afternoon I was SO SORE!!!! We moved all the furniture and everything for 9 hours! Today we hung things up and put things away and threw tons of stuff away! We are so organized now!!!  Here are some pictures....
The kids cubbies...where they keep their blankets and coats.
Across from it is where they keep art work and mail.

The kids tables.

Needed room for a few more kids!

More books and toys (Sarah keeping her desk behind this)

I think i really like it. Well... tomorrow we will test it. :D  I hope you have a great week! It is Spring (Easter) vacation here.  Maddie and Lauren are spending the night again.  They sure love each other. Dylan is in Washington D.C. with his school until Wednesday....having a blast!!!! Pray for his safe return.  Andrew wants to volunteer at our school this week. Checking on it tomorrow.

Friday I had to go to the doctor and she burned something off my back. Something that has itched for months. Still itches. Also I had to go last Monday to have ANOTHER mammogram and an ultra sound on my left one.... all is good.  Go back in a year for another check. Lauren had strep throat last week...she is much better now. Jordy got a cat scan to find out why she gets headaches... it came out fine. Could be allergies and she is taking antihistamines and feeling better. So everything is good. Praise God. He is so faithful to our family. We are so blessed.

God bless!

Field Trips are Fun!

ahhhh... Sunday.... wish it was Saturday!  But it is what it is.  I have so much to do today. Yesterday Lauren and I ran errands....mostly for school!  We went to the dollar store and to Good Will. You can get some awesome books at Good Will for kids! Lauren got a used bike and helmet.... so she wanted to hurry back to my house and ride. She was so disappointed that Gregory wasn't home. :(
This has been one roller coaster of a week.
We started off going on a field trip to ride the Ferry Libby works on! It was so fun! The kids and I both loved it.... as did the parents who went with us... Priscilla, Tina, and Grace! It was such a special treat. The kids got to go up into the wheel house and drive the ferry, see the state rooms, see Libby's office, and we had a snack and lots of drinks from the water fountain. They loved the bus ride too.
Here are some pictures of our day.... the first few pictures I did not take...just want you to get an idea of what a ferry boat is.
The wheel house where captain drives boat.

Pulling away from the dock
Now here are the ones Veronica and I took......

This is Brad Sloman and I...he works on the boats with Libby and he was like a son to me...him and Kevon were best friends all through Jr & High school. :D

Watching the ferry depart from the dock

He only drove the boat because his mom told him to (she was with us)...but he did it and left feeling proud with bragging rights.

The captain kept an eye on things from behind.

I think my sister had a good time with the kids. :D

I have so many more but this is a time sucker! I will have to post them elsewhere.  I don't know what is wrong with blogger but picture loading is impossible anymore. grrrrr.
Have a great day....gotta clean!

Kev

I told Kevon I couldn't understand the words and so he told me he posted them....so I read them. They are kind of sad....you can read them with the song.  He just got divorced and went through some heartbreak.....so I cried when I read them.  He is so amazingly awesome though.

Things are white & black now
No more living life in shades of grey

Ain't no turning back now
Ain't no rewind, there's only play

Done a lot of blaming
Got a lot of blame coming my way

Should have learned to listen
Should have learned to show what I couldn't say

I've never known
This kind of pain
The sunshine has gone
Here comes the rain
