very short

Wow.... I slept off and on all day yesterday.  What a waste of day. In a way it was awesome... no worries about anything. On the other hand I feel like I "burnt daylight" as my dad used to say. Oh well.... it is done. I need to shower, get my lesson plan ready for today and get to school!  Not much else to say.  Looking forward to next week.... I have the whole week off and we are going to Sonic! The closest one is Tacoma. Not sure what else we will do. Think of something. :D
quick and short.  bye bye!

Lazy, hazy morning!

It is Monday morning. I am home! Took the day off!  I am happy. Slept in until 7:30. It is now 9:00 and I am ready for a nap. lol!  I hope this day goes slowwwww and lasts a long time....kind of like a tootsie pop but not as sticky.

Yesterday morning was nice. Everyone was pretty mellow....especially poor little Joshua who woke up with almost 103 temp....got it down to 101 by the time his mom and dad arrived. He could hardly talk his voice was so horse.  He laid on the air mattress and basically didn't get up until Heather got there.

We had a big breakfast of pancakes and bacon and fried potatoes.
Lauren and Andrew even ate....they are not usually breakfast people!

Don't even ask why Patrick was dressed as a woman. He will do almost anything for a laugh. lol!

Parker and Andrew had a chance to play DS games where they can interact with each other...I think. haha...I don't know what those games can do really.
Watching the cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Love it!

It was a pretty peaceful, lazy, hazy morning. Everyone was a bit tired I think. But they all slept well... which is a good thing. Can't wait until our next sleepover this summer!!!!  Have a great week.

almost over :(

Our family Christmas is done.  It was different this year.  Kind of odd.  Strange vibrations... if you know what I mean. No one seemed happy....at least the adults.... except maybe Joel.  Everyone else seemed to have some kind of sadness, illness, tiredness, or something going on with them. I don't know what is going on....no one is talking to me about it....but a mom knows. We didn't play any games. That made me sad.  The dinner was really good.  The kids loved their gifts and had fun opening them.  The adults opened their gifts....I stole from Karla some really nice lotion and foot cream etc... Everyone left shortly after that without any desserts.  :(   It was different. Ryan wasn't here...he was at work.  That made it different, too.
The slumber party went pretty good though. I have to give the older ones credit as I look back at the pictures....they did go caroling (Parker & Dylan stayed with Papa and Toby on the street while I went to the porches with the kids.), played games and were pretty good sports. If they come back next year I will think of separate things for them to do.  We didn't go far caroling ....it was cold and Joshua was sick. He lost his voice and had a fever. I gave him Tylenol... and after Patrick accidentally kicked him in the eye.... Joshua was the first one to bed.  Papa had promised the two youngest sleeping bags when they came again and they were eager to sleep in them so they were the first ones out.

Wonderful gift from Heather!!! Thank you Heath!

Where's Dylan?

Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus!

Making our Christmas trees!

caroling at a house but they aren't home... we made little jingle bells to carol with too.

Papa making them laugh

playing "Morning Mr. Judge"

How low can you go?

We had a good time at the sleep over. Jared, Riley and Maddie are up and it is 7:10.... Dylan just got up and is getting ready for work.  Let the day begin.....
