Happy Morning!

God is so great. I had an awesome God-Sighting yesterday of how God uses His people to encourage and uplift another person and to change hearts! I so wish I could elaborate but I have to respect others privacy. It's just a great morning to praise Him and thank Him! He is an awesome God.

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

I did laundry yesterday.... even hung it up and put everything away! I complain... can you imagine how hard it was traveling across country in the covered wagons and doing laundry? Or what about Eve? lol Facebook is really slowing my computer down.... or the site is acting up. So I cleaned up my computer yesterday, too. Will look around and clean some more today. Always can find something to clean! lol!

Got ahold of David yesterday and sang happy birthday to him! Mom and I thought we'd cook him dinner.... he said he'd call back. Never heard from him. Glad we weren't holding our breath waiting for him. I love my brother so much.... but I get so frustrated with him. But I won't go into that. I need to stay positive! :D It was a nice & rainy night to stay home anyway. And mom went and spent the day with a good friend in Hansville that is ill.... so she was tired.


Don't have much more to write about! I posted this because it cracks me up! Most of you have seen it.... but I still think it's hard to do, especially the first couple times!

Happy Birthday little brother!

Happy birthday to my baby brother!!!! David is 47 years old today! I tried to set up a birthday dinner for him at mom's but he is elusive. (He's got a girlfriend). Hopefully I will reach him today so I can at least sing to him! He doesn't want to miss that!!!! lol!


He had that fake Mohawk before it was even cool!

Uncle David was always the favorite uncle.... he was just too cool for words. He rode motorcycles, skateboards, and was just soo awesome. There always seems to be "that" uncle in the family.... the single, fun uncle!
Next generation thought he was pretty cool too.One thing with David... you never knew when he would show up at events.... pretty much was a rebel without a cause. He got the nickname "Davo" with friends.... then family started calling him "No-show Davo". Shouldn't have done that..... it stuck with him!


Another thing about David I know..... through all the troubles he's been through.... he loves his girls more than anything.....
and his mom and dad!
oh.... and ME!Happy birthday David! I pray for him and will always be here for him. I love you, David, and always will!!!!!!!!! He's my baby brother!


Other news around the area.....
Yesterday was interesting. My cat is driving me crazy. I put 2 bird feeders on the front porch where they would stay dry for the little birdies. Papa told me it wasn't a good idea.... but I always have to find out for myself (gets me in MORE trouble!!!). First those noisy and obnoxious blue jays start hanging out (well, we call them blue jays but they are really just glorified crows called Steller Jays or Cyanocitta stelleri as I like to call it. ;) They are noisy and loud. Then that cat. There are these really cute black and white birdies. Apparently my feeders were just bait my cat was using. I heard her cry at the door.... looked out and she had one in her mouth wanting to bring it in. I usually walk away from the door sad. But after the woodpecker incident last week.... I said bull!!! I opened the door to scare the cat, she opened her mouth, and the bird flew away!!! Score one for me! I scolded Punkin'. She must have thought I was joking because she brought another one in less than an hour. I did the same and she opened her mouth and it flew out! Score 2 for me! Then I left her in the house until I could get home from my shopping expedition. She was mad at me. lol! When I got home I moved the feeders. For 30 minutes I had to hear a Cyanocitta stelleri squawk at me!

Speaking of squawking..... I picked up the two ladies.... mom and Mary and we went to the grocery store. Stocked up Mary's cupboards and went to Dairy Queen for lunch. I refused to let Mary buy me lunch and actually won! She argued with me all the way up to the check out. I won! Which isn't easy with her or mom! It was fun!!! Robin (owner) treated them sooo nice. Of course she knew me from Amanda. She loves Amanda. Came out and asked about her and her family. Took Mary home and groceries in, took mom home and groceries in, took mom's car down and filled it with gas for her, and finally got home.

When I got home I called my brother.... Douglas! He always told us he was the only "planned" child out of all us kids! The rest were accidents. Mom said at lunch we were all accidents. Doug is her "pill baby" because she was on the pill when she conceived. (careful mom..... tmi!) So I called Doug and couldn't wait to tell him. He argued the pill wasn't invented yet.... and he was calling mom to argue the point. lol! We laughed alot! Almost got him talked into facebook. Called and talked to Lolo, too! She was popping off some funny stuff! Surprised! Both had me laughing. I love my family!!!!

I hear rain outside. Nothing to do but clean in here. Laundry and then making two piles of burnable junk and dump junk. I have a problem of keeping everything! Recently I deleted almost 2 thousand emails, cleared my cell phone, and been throwing stuff away! Good for me! It's time.

A little of this and that....

I looked at the date today.... it is the 20th! Can you believe New Moon will finally be out in one month from today!?!? Ok.... IF by some chance you haven't gotten into Twilight yet.... you are really missing out. You need to watch the first movie so you'll understand the second movie. Or read the first two books.... you have one month. You won't be sorry. You may thank me. This will definitely be the movie of the year.

Now who is the biggest media monger? Watching the news..... wondering if Jon Gosselin is loving these people right now. He is either loving them for getting some of the heat off him.... now he's not the dumbest man in America. Well.... maybe it is a tie.... what do you think? Or he is mad because this guy stole his limelight for a bit.
I wish I would have turned MY robe around and invented this Snuggie! This person is getting rich all because he put his robe on backwards. Bet he/she is laughing all the way to the bank. Thanks to my friends daughter in Georgia for modeling this....thanks Autumn.

Maybe I could invent Layered Shirts. Where there are several layers on the front of your shirt so when you eat you can peel the first layer off and throw it away and have a clean shirt to wear for the rest of your day. Do it each meal.... because if you're like me.... not a meal goes by where I don't drop something on my shirt. I think Lauren waits so she can laugh at me!

I thought this news flash was kind of strange:

BREMERTON, Wash. -- The Central Kitsap School District warned parents about a bear spotted Monday morning near Fairview Junior High School in Bremerton. The Department of Fish and Wildlife said they received a call about the bear sighting at 7:30 a.m. The caller said the bear was spotted crossing Central Valley Road. Wildlife agents searched the area but found no sign of the bear. The Kitsap Sun reports a phone message was sent to the parents of students at Fairview Junior High, Olympic High School and Pinecrest, Woodland and Cottonwood elementary schools as a precaution.

The only reason I say it is strange is that it made the Seattle news. There are lots of bear over here on the peninsula! I just saw one a couple weeks ago not even a mile from my house. I'm not going to batten down the hatches and freak though. Oh well.

Not much happening yesterday.... talked with Heather for awhile to sing her happy birthday! She feels old because she remembers the year I turned 33! lol! Only because she teases me how I say it!!!!! It was fun talking to her and I was the first to call her!!! Her dad called while we were on the phone... he was second. ;D

Speaking of family.... our niece Ashley (Doug's daughter) started a blog!!!! Encourage her and comment! I love it.... it is posted on this site!

Our Bible Study group resumed meeting after the summer off. It was great to be with them again. I am getting like my mom.... it would be so easy to talk myself out of going somewhere, but once I go I am soooo blessed! Our group is great .... here they are!
They are the best.... we've been meeting over 3 years now! We laugh, cry, eat, pray, study, share and love. It is a great group!

Weather to Expect:
Low clouds and fog are widespread around the sound on this Tuesday morning. You may run into a few spots of drizzle on your commute, otherwise we will keep it dry. It will stay gray through the morning with some partial clearing this afternoon. High temperatures are running in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Rain will move in around tomorrows morning commute. Rain turns to showers Wednesday afternoon with high temperatures in the upper 50s.
Thursday stays dry with morning fog before rain returns on Friday.
Right now the weekend looks wet with mountain showers on Saturday and more widespread rain returning on Sunday.
