Cleaning and enjoying life!

Isn't that the truth.  He is good all the time.  I feel blessed.  It is not even 9:30 in the morning and Papa and I got the house cleaned, dusted and vacuumed.  Feels good.  Bills are all paid for the month. The Christmas shopping is done. Decorations are done. We are just relaxing and feeling blessed. I was blessed with 6 great nephews and 2 great nieces so far. Today,  the first born of this group, Ryan, is having a birthday!!!  Happy birthday, sweetie! I think he is around 27 years old now. He was born to Ricky and Kelly (my oldest and first born nephew). The bottom picture is taken when he was little with his brothers.  And the bottom right is him and my dad (his great grandpa Langager). I love that picture.

Today I am suppose to post a candle.

I love this picture but I didn't take it.  I need to find one I took....or papa took.  It is of a beautiful candle I got for Christmas with snowmen on it.  I love it!

I really love this picture I found of Dylan when he was 2 years old.  I remember him when he was this age like it was yesterday.

Today I call Wake Me Up Wednesday.  I really love to wake people up! Usually by phone call now that they are all grown.  Here are pictures I have of my sleeping family!
Holding and sitting with sleeping babies. Doesn't it just make you sleepy?

Love sleeping with stuffed animals!

And real animals. We're a family who loves our pets even to sleep with!

And they LOVE sleeping in cars!

Everyone of my grandbabies when they were babies.
Are you tired yet?   lol!  I would be but this dog won't stop barking! He hears the Garbage truck all the way up the street and goes crazy.  Now he is waiting for papa to go for a walk with him.  There is still snow on the ground.  It hasn't melted. What has melted around here has turned to ice. So they are very careful when they walk.  Outside our neighborhood the roads are pretty good too. Suppose to rain tomorrow.

While writing this Scruffy and Papa went on their walk....

Almost time to change my blogger background. It is so fun at Christmas! So many to choose from!

Talked with our son Ryan for a long time yesterday.  I really miss him. I wish he were home. It is like he is in the military he's been gone for so long. It was good to talk to him. He cleared some things up for me I didn't understand ...so it helped. I just wish everyone would do the same.  You can't understand or acknowledge things you don't know.

Papa just got back and is now getting the ice off the front steps. He almost broke his neck!  Ready for it to warm up.

Have a great Wednesday!!!!  xoxo   And remember.....

Tasty Tuesday stuff and the pets

I have been going through some cute Christmas ideas to cook for our grandkids sleepover!  I wanted to share some of them!  We've done some of these already. Still looking for the perfect one to do with the kids though.

I hope it starts to warm up now.  The snow is still pretty but we need to go to the store. The roads are pretty slick still.

Ok,  The December photo pick today is kind of a hard one.  Errand????  I don't do errands. lol!  I am choosing this picture.  It makes me laugh.  This "errand" was picking up Karla's treadmill. Mom and I were in the front so there was  no other room for Karla to sit. lol!  Comfy huh?  We made it to her house a couple miles away with no seatbelt.

Last night Andrew came over to get their doggies.  They were happy to see him. So were we.  I am so happy they had a great time in California. We got to hear about it.  And he stayed for waffles. We were suppose to have Turkey and dumplins last night but not enough Bisquick so we will have it tonight.  Don't judge me....that is what I used to make it. And cream of chicken soup and turkey. It is really good!

Lauren didn't come. She was with her friend having coffee or hot cocoa or something. We are being replaced by friends.  It is normal.  It is life.  It still kind of stinks.  But we have seen it happen with our kids and older grandkids. It happens.  They are growing up.  Probably why we are putting more time and love into our other babies...Scruffy and Kitkat! Speaking of them.... last night was so cute! They tend to fight over the pillow with the green blanket to see who gets to it first.  Well, this time the cat won and Scruffy got as close as he could to irritate the cat hoping he would get off. Didn't work...

And then I think the cat was laughing at Scruffy!!!!!

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!!!! The weekend is coming!

Baby it's cold outside!

Monday!  It is so cold out. Snow still here. It is suppose to be warming up and turning to rain. Maybe the roads won't be so icy.  We stay home during this weather.  We're fragile.  lol!

Said goodbye to Sandy and Mac today.  Andrew picked them up and took them home.  He stayed and had some waffles with us too.   He told us all about his trip to San Diego.  Lauren told me this morning on the phone. Sounds like they had a great time and warm weather.  Then they get to come home to this freezing weather.

This month I am going to try to do the photo challenge. I was going to do it on facebook but this is better.   The first one is something red and white....

Berries and snow are red and white! I think this picture turned out really nice!

Lanny and I are just exhausted lately and we're not sure why. We've been going to bed between 9-10. But we don't sleep well lately.  We wake up between 5-6 in the morning.

I finished my Christmas shopping today.  I am so happy about it.  We went so simple this year. I used to buy soooo many gifts for each grandbaby.  Then I got down to three.  Now we are down to one.  They get so many gifts they don't lack presents for sure.  I'm not going to let that pressure get to me this year.

I am really sad Andrew and Lauren won't be with us this year.  I love it when we are all together and was hoping for a family picture.  But not this year.  I guess I should have went with my first idea...and that was to have our family Christmas on the 20th.  But I wanted to make sure Ryan would be here so I decided to do it on the 27th instead. Now Ryan isn't even going to be here.  And his family won't be here on the 27th...but the kids would have been here on the 20th.  So much for best laid plans.  :(   Oh well. Too lated to change things up now.

Papa and I are watching Cut Throat Kitchen.  Papa loves how Alton gets during this show. It cracks him up! Well, time to sign off for the day! Hope everyone else is staying warm!
