Basket ball, Snow, and my shinushes!

It is almost Valentines Day!  The Seahawk hoopla is fading a bit. We finally had some snow!!!!  That was exciting!  I really didn't think we were going to see any this year!  But Saturday night when Maddie was spending the night...we had snow!!! It was so awesome!  We had a great time while she was here!

Saturday morning started with watching Lauren playing basketball. They didn't play it as well as they have in the past.  They actually lost by 2 points. It was the teams first loss in 3 years. Sad.

Maddie took this picture with her phone.

The next morning....

This dog has nothing to do with me when Maddie is over.

Gregory came from next door and the snowball fight began.

Maddie finds an ice block! No Maddie, don't throw it!
Then they tried sledding!
She stayed out there for hours!  Until her dad came and it was time to leave. I am glad she had fun. We had fun the whole night.  We watched 2 movies, some tv, ate popcorn, checked on the snow, played a game, played on the computer, ate ice cream, and she ate hot wings. It was fun, but I wasn't feeling well so it made it difficult to be up. Maddie was sweet about it. She let me take a nap in the afternoon. I took some medication which made me sleepy and stuff...I was suppose to go to Timmy Todd's memorial service but I couldn't even drive there.  My sinus' have been so bad lately.  I am using Sudafed and nasal spray mostly which is helping a little. I wake up icky and go to bed icky. Oh, and during the day I feel icky.  It just doesn't seem to end.
But the snow did.  This morning it turned to rain and the temps warmed up. Forecast for this week is:

I guess it's better than snow?

Well, I hope you (whoever is reading this) has a great week!!!!

Superbowl Champs! Wow.

We have been superbowl champions for 4 days now and I just got a chance to post.  Quite an amazing week this has been.  Truly amazing.  It is a dream come true.  The Seahawks first year was in 1976 and I remember these past 38 years and loved the Seahawks since day one. We have gone through the coaches, the awesome players over the years, the fields, and it has been a great experience to get to the superbowl and win it. And then win it by so many points! It is nice we won because of talent on the part of our offense, defense and special teams. The officials did not help us or hurt us. We are the most penalized team in the NFL this year and during this game and still won.  I want to post some pictures of our week in Seattle!

QB Russell Wilson...a dream come true.

Our coach, Pete Carroll, deserved this.
Our family was pretty excited and love the Seahawks game too in different locations!!!! (pictures stolen from facebook with no permission from anyone)

Karla, Maddie, Joel, Dylan and friends!

Parker, Heather, Don, Patrick (the only traiter and Bronco fan), Jared and Joshua

Wednesday was the big parade in Seattle. They estimate over 700,000 fans were there! Karla, Joel, Dylan and Grace went. Took them twice as long to get to the ferry and the ferries were packed to capacity! Craziness!
Marshawn Lynch throwing Skittles to the crowd. They were throwing them back too! He was at the beginning of the parade!

Cam carried the trophy!

so many people!!!!

Seahawks bus bringing them to the parade!

So many people catching the ferry. And this doesn't even show the thousand and thousands of people that came from this side of the water.

Seattle fans are amazing! The city went all out. Seahawk colors everywhere, 12th man flag flying and hanging everywhere (in windows, off our bridge, on the ferries, off car antennas, and off the space needle! The team carries the flag everywhere too!

Our City!
The team loves the #12! There has been no city that has made the fans part of the team like the Seahawks! The loudest and loyalist!

Well, the dog won't get off my lap and it is difficult to reach over to type with him here. haha. I know I could put him down, but I won't.  I will type more later.  I hope you enjoyed this site and our experience a little bit.

GAME TIME!

Well, today is the day! Superbowl Sunday! I can't tell you how excited I am.  Been waiting 2 weeks for this to happen!  I hope we win. I really do!  I will either be posting happiness and wonderful things about how great this team is!!!! or....I will be posting about what a great run we had and what a awesome team they still are. How we were outplayed or cheated from the title. I hope I can be the one saying "we won"!!!!   I believe we will!
Besides, we are staying home alone together like we usually watch the game. We're putting a stew on so when we want to eat it will be ready and so good!  Kevon was invited several places which he is wondering if he should stay home and watch it. It's funny how many of us are not superstitious until sports. lol

This is Brittni and Pete's daughter ... my great, great niece Riley!

The ferries are all flying the 12th man flag and changed all the ferry names to Seahawks!
The game is going ..... so am I!
