Playoffs, playdate, and pain!

We LOVE our team!  Sorry to my friends from Georgia!  I have to post and cheer on my Seahawks!!!!! 

Monday, Monday, so good to me. Even though I am having some neck pain still, it is a good day. Kids all went back to school today.

As my post title states....we are in the playoffs!  Seattle Seahawks are hot right now!  We made wild card.....and then yesterday we beat the Washington Redskins!!!!

 

So...guess what we are doing this weekend!!!! Football game Sunday morning. God will understand.  We can always go in the evening.

On Saturday night Kevon's band is playing at the Manette Saloon again. So I am going to it. I don't think Papa is going to go. He doesn't like that kind of stuff. I mean the music.  He loves Kev.... just not the music so much. They just re-recorded a song Kevon wrote. I thought you might like to hear it.

I am pretty excited about it because I never get to hear him play.  But the bad news is... Jael was suppose to play the weekend after and she cancelled the show.  I am a bit disappointed. But it is what it is. Right?  She heads back to her home in Montana for awhile tomorrow morning with her mom.  I will miss her.

I am just hopping all over the place!!!!  The other day we had a playdate with some of the kids from our old school. I was really disappointed more didn't show up.  People forget and it was coming off Christmas break.  Anyway... Kye and his grandma came, Audrey and her mom, Ella and her parents, teacher Ms. Sarah with her husband and little girl.  It was fun catching up on the center and the kids lives. Took a few pictures too! Lauren came with me!

We came home and just chilled out.  We made ham and beans for dinner that were really good.  Lauren not a fan so she had something else. Of course, we played more Phase 10.

The cat sure has mellowed out!!!!  It is awesome!  He gets frisky once in a while because he is still a kitten.... but he is growing up so fast and doesn't even bother Toby as much....they may end up as friend!

I don't know what is going on with his leg!

I am glad it is Friday.  This has been a busy week. Wednesday and Thursday we had Ella Bella!  She is a little girl I taught at school and love so much! Her parents are awesome too!  Lauren was great with her too!!!

I am not a blue cotton candy nail polish kind of woman. Maybe because it is for little girls!!!

They had a good time. It was just the two of them Wednesday. Then yesterday we picked up Maddie. It was awesome to see her....I don't see her very often anymore. I don't know if it is just because of the cat (which she is scared of) or what. But I sure miss her.  We went to walmart first. I got a few things on sale from Christmas. 75% off everything!!!! It was cool. We hung out around the house for a bit...had lunch and stuff. Then picked up Dylan and went to McDonalds and had ice cream. Nice to see Dylan too and chat with him. I feel so distant from my grandkids lately.  We all used to be so close.  Maybe it is God preparing me for a move to warmer climate and a less liberal state. Who knows?  My grandkids are what keeps me here.  I don't hear much from my kids.  I guess we are a strange family. I don't think
Facebook and computers and texting are such a great thing.  No one talks to people anymore. I am bringing myself down! lol!

My feet are cold right now.  Freezing! Don't have Ella today....her dad got the day off.  So I slept from 9-7!  Felt good to sleep. I've been really tired lately.

I cannot believe how big this kitty is getting. He has grown so fast!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!





Yesterday we spent all day at the hospital! My friend Nell had a heart attack!  She is also Jael's mom.  Jael called at 10 a.m. to see if I could take them to the hospital because she was experiencing some chest problems.  Then Bruce Jacola (the YWAM friends they are staying with up the road) drove her instead. So I picked up Andrew to be a comfort for Jael and we went to the hospital. I am so glad I did. She really needed Andrew's strength and hugs.

Racing to the window to see New Year's Eve fireworks. He was in a rolling recliner and she was running. lol

He kept her distracted...which was good.  She was pretty upset.  She handled herself so well.  I was impressed by her poise and strength....and I knew the Lord was with her.
Fortunately it was not an "acute" heart attack. And it didn't damage her heart. She didn't have blockage. She got to leave with medication which will repair the vessels. I am happy! We all are! Jael and I went and picked her up this morning. Of course, she didn't get out until this afternoon.

One thing it really did was to open my eyes.  I have been thinking of how unhealthy I am....the worst ever!!!!  This really shook me to the core. I am not going to live long if I don't try to reverse some of the damage.  It is my responsibility!!!!

I have been thinking about New Years Resolutions.  I have to do something.  The word that sums it up is "Responsibility"!!!!  I need to be more responsible. Which means the things that no one else is responsible for.... my weight, my eating, my physical fitness, my home, my cooking, my cleaning,  just so much!!!!  So if this one word sums up my changes.... I need to take little steps to get where I need to this year!  Off we go....

Lauren and I had so much fun last night!  Andrew and Jael went to a party and danced their feet off.  Jael spent the night here and Andrew spent the night up the road at a friends house.  We watched some TV.... just before midnight we switched to Dick Clark's rockin' New Year. We toasted and hugged and yelled Happy New Year!!! Lauren was so excited her little hands were shaking! Then we went out on the deck because our neighbors were shooting fireworks.
Lauren and I played Phase 10 at 1:30 in the morning! She thought that was so cool! And we watched Sound of Music. When she stopped singing I figured she was going to sleep. It was almost 3 a.m.! She got to sleep in until noon! She slept on the couch, I slept in my recliner. I was cold!  The cat started bugging me about 6 a.m. it  drove me crazy. But Jael and I had to leave by 9:30 anyway.

So tonight I am tired. It is only 7:30 and I am ready for bed!  Made a nummy pork roast tonight.   Papa put potatoes and carrots and the roast in a crock pot  I had to switch it to the oven for the last hour. So good and tender. Tomorrow night is pulled pork.  Just need to figure out how it is all going to fit into my healthy eating.  Well, I guess I had better get going so I can watch a little TV with papa. Criminal Minds.
