This is the life of Mam and Papa We have lots of kids who gave us 10 beautiful and amazing grandbabies and now 2 great ones. Throw in a scruffy little dog and a new home and we have a great and blessed life!! We center our lives around the Lord and our family...
I can't believe Joshua is 5. Seriously.... time flew by so fast. It makes it harder that they live over 200 miles away too.... we don't see him all the time. You blink and they have grown.
There are tons of birthdays today.... friend Kelly's son Ross turns 21 today (and his biggest ambition is NOT to buy beer or go to a bar.... isn't that awesome?)! Also an old friend of ours, Dick Lane, is having a birthday! My cousin's wife, Mary Tuff, is having a birthday in South Dakota! My friend Norene's son Mikal's is today as well as Jessica (who is on our softball team!). Must be a great day to be born! Happy birthday to all of them!!!!
Going into work today. She asked me to bring the leads I didn't reach with me. Wonder if that means I'm fired? Out of the 24 only 8-10 of mine actually went to the dinner. That sucks.... but I did my job. I will probably only get 1/2 my check, too. We'll see. Since I've been so light headed Papa stayed home to drive me in. Figured out what the problem is.... I ran out of one of my medications last week! The anti-depressant. I'm not suppose to just stop it.... oh well. I didn't have the $ and I will get it today. Don't tell my mom.
Well.... that's all I got. Papa got yesterday's trivia question. I love trivia and history! Can you tell?
HISTORY PICTURE: Our Joshua was born 5 years ago today.... here is proud daddy and papa with him at the hospital!!!

Good morning! Another beautiful day and another headache! Wish I knew what what going on or it would just go away! Could be in my neck. It's been a bit sore, too. Oh well.
I posted a video at the bottom of my site for those of you that want to see it... it is about taking America back. It is really good... but pretty political and if you're not into politics at all you might not want to watch it. It isn't a slam on our pres... it is kind of a slam on our government, though.
We just did laundry yesterday, straitened up, papa cleaned the pool, mowed, painted the front deck and washed the cars. That's how he relaxes. Crazy guy. I don't have a lot to write about. No grand kids so nothing funny or cute. I added something new at the end of my post.... trivia question! Hopefully my kids will play and leave their comments. If it wasn't for my Georgia friends I'd have no comments. lol! Thanks ladies! It is fun to read comments. I read all of mine. Look at the bottom for my trivia section!

The #1 U.S. song was "Waterfalls" by TLC.
The #1 country song was "Any Man of Mine" by Shania Twain.
The morning started out a bit rough. All of us woke up with sore throats. Lauren wanted chocolate milk .... that helped. We kind of chilled in the morning. I had such a headache. I posted and went back to bed until 10! Somebody called... some wireless number from Seattle and didn't leave a message.... woke Lauren and I up. Still had the headache. It came and went all day long but that's ok. Woke up with it again this morning. The kids felt great after about an hour of being awake.
We heard a bunch of noise and saw this going on outside. The lot on the corner is getting a triple wide mobile .... will block a little of our view but it is better than them building a two story house! We went down to the beach. Some people were fishing off the rocks. Tide was way high. They caught nothing but seaweed. Andrew and Lauren had fun. Didn't take the dogs.... Sandy would get too sandy to get in my van to go home and they were still too tired. Lauren and Andrew raced.... the video is better below.
This picture I posted because it shocked me. Andrew looks so big and older in this picture. I remember when Kevon's shoulders started broadening. Another step from him leaving his boyhood. sniff, sniff.... makes me sad. :( He would run so fast he was splattering wet sand on his back. Too funny. See the spot on Andrew's back below? That was Lauren hitting him with a sandball. He got her back and she was mad. She came over and showed me..... not happy. Good at dishing it out but can't take it. There's my smile!!! Andrew got Lauren to bury him. This was how he looked after the fact.He tried to rinse off in the water.... but required a long shower, too. That Lauren is a sneaky one. She makes me laugh... I took some great videos and it was hard to pick my favorite but this one makes me laugh.
After they both had showers they had some chocolate cake and we packed them up and took them home. Amanda and Ryan invited us to dinner.... BBQ burgers! They were SO good!!!! They were turkey burgers and she made them really awesome! Also papa got them a crab from Capono at work and they ate that too. Ryan LOVES crab!!! We had a fun time.... papa came after work. We had strawberry shortcake for dessert. We really enjoyed ourselves. Last Thursday Jay brought his bread truck to the game and we got to raid it for free bread (they just dump it). It doesn't expire until tomorrow and it was a riot watching the grand kids look like little looters and grab all they could get. I laughed. One loaf was called Pain something. We brought it with us and tried it at Amanda's. She had us dipping it in black vinegar and something.... it was nasty but she kept getting me to try it. Then she noticed mold on the bottom of her piece and ran to the garbage to spit it out. Andrew saw her spitting hers out and ran and spit his. It was hysterical.... his reaction. I thought he was going to puke. Lauren was in the bathroom. Amanda said not to tell her... she would cry or something. We laughed so hard about it. Papa said he was so glad he went there. Ended his long work week on a high note.
Forecast: A return to hot weather for Seafair weekend, though not triple digits. High 80s Saturday, and around 90 Sunday. Monday will be a mostly sunny day with slightly cooler highs in the mid 80s. Mid week clouds and highs dropping into the 70s... by Thursday with a chance of showers.
HISTORY PICTURE: This picture was taken in 1990.... 19 years ago. Doesn't seem that long ago. Makes me want to cry. We're having dinner. Kevon, Heather, Brad, Tara, Lanny and Karla! Ryan is missing.... in California.
