All 3 girls singing and dancing ... watch for the shoe!

Rhonda, beach & starfish, baseball, and sadness....

Today is Lanny's sister's birthday! Want to wish a very happy birthday to Rhonda! She is the sweetest and most thoughtful person. Papa just met her 5 years ago. We missed so many wonderful years with her! That is sad... but great we are in touch now and get to see her once in awhile! We really love her! I pray for many more happy and healthy birthdays for her!!!!

Having a good week.... a very long week! I don't know how it seems to you but it seems later than Thursday!!! Need to get some food in the house today so I'll be meeting Tara at the store today. I love having grandkids overnight! My house is a disaster to say the least..... but it is so worth it!!!! We've had fun! Posted some pictures! We went to the beach and walked yesterday. It was so cold... but so refreshing! Nothing is better than fresh air! Here are some pictures I posted... the girls decided to build a fire like survivor. Here is Maddie rubbing two sticks together!
And Riley's contribution to the fire. Don't worry... this piece of wood was really light!

Dylan gave Maddie some of her favorite flowers!!! She was happy!

Riley was too!!!
Jordy with a sand dollar she found... Dylan is picking flowers for the girls. He is really a sweet boy.

A big ship on its way to Seattle. Riley always thinks these are so cool!
Below are the girls on Starfish Island. They love this place and can only get there when the tide is out.... so it is special! The starfish are hidden all in the crevices of these rocks.
Some kind of sea life.... yuk. Dylan took most of these pictures....

See all the starfish hiding in the rocks?
A sea cucumber and starfish
The kids loved this purple one!
This one was weird.... lots of legs. I need to google it!

Back at my house.... Maddie built a castle out of Lego's. She was so proud of herself and wanted me to take a picture for her mom.
Dylan and Jordy took her castle apart when they were playing with the Lego's.... but Jordy promised her she would build her a new one and here it is. Maddie loves it!
This was funny. The kids were sleeping and I was heading to bed. Checked on the kids and found Punkin on top of Dylan! He didn't have room so she laid on top. She didn't even look comfortable. Oh well... she loves him.

It wears you out to walk the beach... especially soft sand or rocks. But it was fun. Then after the beach we have to walk up that big hill! Jordy looked at me with a worried expression because I was huffing and puffing. That fresh air was so good!

Went to McDonald's but got it to go and ate at the field. We took Dylan to practice. He is doing really good! It's going to be a fun season... even if they're not the champs. It will be fun watching Dylan... I think he is going to have a good year with lots of growth! Karla and Joel were at practice too. Me and the girls went to Red Apple to pick up some meat, potatoes and milk. The rest I buy at walmart. The kids liked pushing the little carts around. After practice we came home and Dylan took a shower and then we had some banana pie! Num... it was good! I was tired so we're doing a bunch of stuff they planned this morning.

Got sad news that my old science teacher, Mr. Ham, passed away. He retired in Port Ludlow. He was a nice guy. I always got to take roll for him. He liked me.

Today is my Uncle Alvin's memorial service. Even writing those words are difficult. He will be so missed. It's the hardest part about life. Even though you know they are better off.... it is still hard.

Well... now that I brought ya down... I'm gonna go. God bless you all!!!! (not Go bless you like yesterday. lol)

Know what movie the clip is from?????

What's Ahead:
Showers, sunbreaks and even the possibility of thunder showers this afternoon. Cool air will keep highs in the upper 40s. Mountain snow showers will bring another 8 inches or so to the Cascades, with a high avalanche danger and a Winter Storm Warning in place until tonight.
Tomorrow after a few morning sprinkles expect partly sunny skies by afternoon, and more sun this weekend and early next week, mixed with a few clouds, and highs reaching 52 to 60!

April Fool's, Baby pics, walking pics, etc....

Of course... when you ask for baby pictures... I post them all! I made a collage of all of us (except I don't have pictures of all the spouse's :( or I would have posted them too.) But I got me and papa, our 5 kids and our 10 grandkids as babies. Such a cute group. Then I thought I would bless you with this one of me I haven't shown many people. My diaper is down to my ankles and I am not a happy baby!!! lol! I'm really enjoying looking at everyones baby pictures that posted! It was fun to do!

Now... on to my day yesterday! Karla brought Maddie and Dylan and food over! It was a nice afternoon. We played on the computer for awhile. Since Karla works on the computer at home they don't have as much time there as they do here. Poor babies. I didn't even have a color tv as a child and had to turn our channels with a bottle opener!!! Anyway... after papa got home we went for a walk.
A sign of spring is these two ares in their driveways. The neighbors are usually gone in the winter.... they are back!!! Just like the birds!
I was lucky enough to walk with my handsome grandson, Dylan....

to get a beautiful flower from my sweet grand daughter, Maddie.....

and visit with the most wonderful, kindest, handsome husband ever!!!! It was a great walk!

I love cat tails growing... I want some but they might frown on it if I take theirs. Even though they got a ton they're not really using! (family joke)

Stopped by the park for a few minutes... Dylan wanted to show Maddie Starfish Island.... she hadn't seen it before. The tide has to be out.

There are tons of starfish that live on these rocks. Don't worry.. the kids were safe and so were the starfish. But Toby was freaking out! He thought he should be with them and sat and cried and cried and worried and worried!!!

We finally let him off the leash to meet them on the beach coming back. He escorted them up the hill. He's such a good dog... we all love him soooo much!

Maddie next to her favorite flowers!!!

After the walk they were exhausted! lol! It was alot of fun! My calfs hurt so bad after that! Got another injury last night. The kids put on a wrestling show for papa and I. First Dylan beat up the Animaniac (stuffed one).... then him and Maddie wrestled and he barely won. Then they took on challengers... so I couldn't resist the challenge. My wrestling name is Tooder McGruder. They laughed at that. It was all fine and dandy until I hurt my neck! Then it was ice time. Of course Maddie needed ice on her neck too... Dylan needed some in a cup to crunch cuz he was champ. After I got hurt... Papa went in there and told Dylan he had 4 minutes to get papa off the mattress. He did it in 3 and 1/2. Dylan was so sweaty and hot after that... it was fun.

Made chicken nuggets and tater tots for dinner. Maddie wanted top ramen. She said she would have chicken nuggets for an appetizer. Too funny!

It is 7:10 am... Maddie just woke up. She showed me her bottom teeth... she said every night her teeth get wigglier and wigglier. Now she is going back to bad. That won't last. Dylan is still asleep. Jordy and Riley are coming over tonight so we are all excited for that!!! (I was right... Maddie got up and is watching Sesame street. Haven't seen her watch that in a long time).

I can't believe the air traffic outside the past 24 hours! Not sure what is going on but normally it is quiet. I know Whidbey Island Air Force Base is close as the crow flies (or plane) but this isn't normal.

Another sign of spring is the sugar ants are back in our bathroom. Makes me mad as I'm not sure where they come from. Dylan is going to help me spray the bathroom today. I think we need to burn that stump down in our front yard... after I move the bear! Papa thinks that could be where they are coming from.

I got justice.... UPS called me yesterday and apologized and talked to the driver. Apparently it was a sub. It helps to complain... I think. We'll see. Just hope I don't need a UPS delivery soon. lol!

Some sad news.... my friend, Patty, lost her mom yesterday morning. I heard from her this morning and she said it was a good thing she saw her a few weeks ago. That was so wonderful they got to spend some time together. Patty will always have those memories. Please pray for her and the family. (Some of you know her husband Pastor Jake... he was at the hospital with us when Papa had his surgery). Nice family.

Well.... I guess I am done for the day. Dylan is stirring too. I just remembered how much I loved Sesame Street. Might go watch it! They just had "Meal or No Meal" on! It was great! She picked a meal over 100 cookies. She was so happy and said "Who could possibly eat a hundred cookies?" Cookie monster ran out and attacked the cookies! That was soooo good to see! Heard he was going healthy. That would be sad. Maddie just went in my room to say good morning to Toby. He loves it... no wonder he gets depressed when she leaves. And the cat walks around crying for a day or two when Dylan leaves. Drives me nuts!

Go bless & have a great day and Happy April's Fool Day!!!! Dylan just tried to April Fool me with a twisted ankle when he ran out here. Didn't work... I knew he was going to try something. He wants me to call Karla from Walmart and say Maddie is missing and when she shows up say "April Fools." Uh..... no.

What's Ahead:
Another weather system moves in today bringing more rain and mountain snow. Mixed showers are possible at times in the foothills this morning. A Winter Storm Warning goes into effect late this afternoon for the Cascades as mountain snow increases. Expect 3 to 4 inches today, but up to 14 more overnight.
In the lowlands, rain changes to showers Thursday.
Lingering sprinkles start off Friday before drier, partly sunny weather arrives and stays through the weekend, warming us back into the mid 50s.
