busy day and night.....

Well, it is suppose to be a beautiful sunshiny day! Now if it can go from my eyes to my heart I will be in great shape!

This morning I am taking mom to the doctor.  I haven't got to do that in awhile. But with starting at 11:00 this morning... that will help!  Then the kids all have games tonight! Karla and Tara have a game at 6:15 on JV field.  Kevon and Ryan have games on Varsity field at 6:15 and 7:30! Busy night tonight!

It was quiet last night.  But I couldn't go to sleep. At first I wanted to sleep at 6-ish...but it was too late for a nap and too early for bed.  Then by 11 I was too tired to sleep...ever been there?  Then Papa held me and I fell asleep. Sometimes that is all it takes. To be held.

Maddie was something else yesterday morning. She was doing quite well and said "I have a strategy for when I am sad to quit thinking about it...but not when I am mad. I haven't got to that part of the book yet."  She can always make me smile. :D

Short post....but at least I did it.  Thank you for your prayers!

Meeting Andrew!

It was 15 years ago today we met our first grandson, Andrew! Here is is with his Papa! Papa is looking pretty happy ..... Andrew is looking so amazingly cute!!!!
Another memory picture of Karla and Heather in their room taken on July 15, 1985!
Andrew is home from Mexico!!!!  I am so thankful God kept him safe! I can't wait to hear about everything!!! That is my exciting news of the day.
Maddie and Lauren and Toby at Fort Flagler July 15, 2007! We were camping...the next day papa had his heart attack there! What a difference a day makes!
In case you wondered....Toby had a fabulous birthday! Him and his best friend Sandy went for a 45 minute stroll by themselves!!! lol!  Papa left the garage doors open and off they went. They were both SO TIRED last night they could hardly move.  So happy they returned home. Must have been dinner time. Darn dogs!

We are having a bike rodeo today at school! Closing off the parking lot and the kids are riding bikes, scooters, and trikes!  It will be fun!  I hope I don't regret it! lol!

Tina Kain is coming up on Tuesday and we're meeting at Azteca's! It will be awesome! So many years since I have seen her! She is Ernestine's daughter.... Ernie passed away a few years ago... she was an amazing woman who loved and served and prayed like no one I had ever met!  I miss her and always will. I can't wait to see Tina again!

The Yank-a-part team lost last night.  I believe it was 16-14.  Not bad.  Good game!  First game was a forfeit....the team didn't show up.  The umpire wasn't good...called Karla out when she was SO safe. But then he called Jay safe when he was out so I guess it all balances out. lol!   Veronica came with me again!  I love her company!

We make each other laugh all the time!!!! She's like my new bff!  Even though she is only 24 years old. lol!

Well... best get ready for work.  It is Friday!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBY!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBY!!!!!!!!!!!  Today is Toby's birthday! I don't like his birthdays.  We dont' celebrate a lot and it just means he is getting older. Today he is 9!  :(   I want him to be 3 again! But life is life.  I love our dog so much!!! Besides Papa and myself.... no one loves Toby as much as Maddie! That is her dog and baby!  Andrew certainly runs a close second...but he has two more dogs and is a teenager now... his interests have spread out. lol!  Maddie adores Toby!
This picture was taken July 14, 2006...5 years ago when we had gone for a walk on the beach!

Dylan had gone to meet him with me at pet smart and he licked his ear... Toby licked Dylan's, I mean.

Patrick always has time for Toby when he comes to Mam's!

Wednesday water day is past and so was the squirt bottle fight!  No matter how many times you tell the kids...NOT IN THE FACE.... they get ya right in the eye.  I don't even know what my makeup looked like last night at the ball game. I forgot to check. But Veronica rode to the game with me again so she would have told me if it was too ghastly!

Last night was fun! The kids played each other in a softball game again.  It was tied and then Karla's team ripped ahead at the end and won.  Then we had to go play the fire station team across the field. The were ahead 16-4 at the top of the 7th..... and our team got 14 RUNS!!!! They got one at the bottom of the 7th.... so we won 18-17!  What a game!  Don and Lois came to both games!!! It was nice to see them enjoy themselves. I think everyone did! Dylan was awesome at helping me keep up on the scoring. It got crazy!  Hits and runs and outs everywhere! lol!

We had to get a permit to hook a propane tank back up!!! Can you believe it? $140!!!!  Papa spend one day driving to Port Townsend to get it and they wanted a check.  So yesterday he took the check. Propane will be coming on Tuesday morning and we will be all set for whatever happens this winter.  The Lord blessed us last year with next to no power outages.

Yesterday at work was good. Parents praising me on the job I am doing!  Makes me happy!  Sending out forms for evaluation with them.... need to know what we need to improve on. My evaluation is coming up.

I got to communicate with Andrew last night! He was at a motel in Mazatlan, Mexico and had wifi!!!!  So nice to hear from him and tell him how much I love him and miss him.  I know his parents sure do too!

I am closing with a posting of a few pictures.... have a great day!

I'm back and it is feeling good!

It was an awesome day! First off... papa took his government job off and had walmart off so he had a WHOLE day off! It was awesome! I'm going to tell it backwards because that is how I posted the pictures!

We went to McDonalds after the game last night with Tara and the kids she has! She brought Patrick home and left Riley at Heather's earlier this week. We brought Parker home and he has been with Andrew all week. Yesterday Tara went and got Riley, Joshua and Jared (so Heather is kid-less until Tuesday when she comes over... yay for heath!) Patrick went to stay at Dylan's for a couple nights. Parker, Andrew and Lauren are coming here tonight. On Saturday they will all be here.... all 10! Summer sleepover!!!

I digressed and confused you. Here is Jared " McTooter " and his mam right before he smelled up the place. Glad we were done eating. lol!
Me and Joshua!
Papa and Joshua!
Check out Riley's nails with the hearts manicured on them. Heather took her to get a mani! Riley's first one! With no girls of her own.... Auntie Heather loves to do that! Aren't they pretty?
I won't even say what they are laughing at...
Papa and the boogers!!!!
Before McDonald's..... we were at the ball field. Nice surprise... Craig and Cindy came and watched! It was a great time. Lanny had a great visit with Craigmont. The first game frustrated me to death. We have to alternate the batting order boy/girl/boy etc.... We were short a girl so our line up got so hosed up... it is hard to keep score that way. Both me and the other guy keeping score were messed up. I know we won though. That's what counts. The second game Paul was out of it.... hurt his leg.... which was too bad but easier for me to keep score. We kicked butt on that one. Lol! Here is smiling Jay. He isn't happy unless he can get a home run! Which he does every game. At least one.
Tara! I think she loves playing!
Patrick got my camera and took all these pictures! Here is Jo posing. She colored her hair! Didn't like blond anymore. I prefer blonds.... but she is pretty no matter what she does!
Yesterday morning didn't start off so great. Makoa cried!!! He clinged to his mama and cried. He hasn't done that in so long! Even cheese wouldn't entice him. Then he wanted his bottle. I think he was tired. Looks pathetic, huh?
His mood changed when he was loving on Toby!
And eating breakfast.... he ate scrambled egg with cheese and toast cut up. He likes to feed himself and tends to eat more that way.
Him and Toby liked watching Papa mow the lawn yesterday.
And papa cleaned this slide that hasn't been used in years. It was Andrews!!!!
After papa got done mowing and cleaning the two shared some cookies! He loves papa!
Papa and I cleaned off the back deck while Makoa was taking his nap. It looks so much better. Papa also waxed the van and washed his car. Now he can relax and enjoy grand kids this weekend. Let's see if he relaxes. It was such a great day. "We" got alot done. In marriage two shall become one.... so I always say "We need to finish this or do that". Papa and I both know it means "him" but it sounds less bossy when I say "we". lol!

Mom went to the doctor yesterday. He is still thinking she may need dialysis one day.... but he keeps tweaking her medicine.... to make it easier on her kidneys... he wants to avoid it as long as possible. Her blood pressure and pulse are doing great. The only concern (and it is huge) is her kidneys! Today Libby takes her for another round of iron infusion... I will take her next Friday when Papa is off.

I really need to post this for myself. I am feeling really good. Physically... no more sty's, no other physical problems except an occasional back ache (I have always had) and a cough sometimes. But I have no physical complaints (knock knock). And better yet... mentally and emotionally I am good. I am letting so much go and not letting people toy with my head and heart. It feels good to take control again. I lost my confidence in who I was for awhile.... it is strange how you can allow people to do that to you by how they treat you, talk to you, and circumstances. If you let it... it can define you. Finally.... I am getting my confidence back. Alot of it is because of Andrew. His devotions and talks are amazing for a 14 year old. He is really wise beyond his years and people should stop and listen to him more often! I do and he helps! I know I am a beautiful, wonderful, kind hearted, smart person and no one can take that from me. I may say stupid things... but so does everyone. lol! I am an awesome person. Right papa? He's been quite an encouragement to me... I am believing I am loved and beautiful because of him. I mostly give credit to God who truly loves me and sees my worth more than anyone... possibly because He created me. ;D Who's eyes are you choosing to see yourself through? I see me through God's eyes. Also papa's eyes .. he always has and always will love me through better or worse, richer or poorer... and we are so secure in our marriage! And my grand children's eyes... who love me unconditionally.... they know I am not perfect and laugh with me at my dodo head blunders! They look up to me and respect me and forgive me... they love me like Christ loves the church! I love kids! It is so easy for them. We all need to be more child-like. Anyway... I am at a good place right now.

ANDREW DEVOTION: Read James 2:1-17 (i need to check on the verse with andrew? but his thoughts are good!)
"We all break God's commandments, no matter how much we try to deny it. But we can hop on the road of redemption at any time and be scot-free thanks to Jesus Christ! :D"

YESTERDAY'S MEMORY PICTURE: 7-15-96
Our first grandchild.....Papa and Andrew meet for the first time when Ryan and Amanda move up here from California! Memory picture from today 7-16-08 Maddie and Lauren at swimming lessons!Have a great day.... and don't forget to hug someone.... it feels SO GOOD!

Weather To Expect:
Before we see the sun, there are low clouds around Western Washington to contend with. Most spots around the sound will see the clouds break by the afternoon. Highs will be running in the mid to low 70s. Sea-Tac Airport hit 80 degrees the past two days, today's forecast high is 74 degrees.
This pattern is holding through your weekend. We'll be contending with more extensive morning clouds both Saturday and Sunday before turning to mostly sunny skies.
Sunday's clouds will take into the mid afternoon until finally clearing. Spotty drizzle is possible Sunday morning. High temperatures will be in the low 70s both days.
