What a great weekend! Yesterday was awesome. I know everyone is saying what a great mother's day it was for them.... but I'm going to say the same thing! I would like you to go to my daughter's site "Confusion Never Stops". There is a link on the right. Karla wrote the best thing about mothers. Loved it! Leave her a comment if you want. I am so proud of her. She is an amazing, crazy, strong, dedicated mom and I love her so much! I also got the sweetest card from her last night. Made me cry. And Maddie had made the card stationary for her mom and said she could share it with me. ahhh.
I got the cutest, sweetest cards from Burdyshaws and Valverde's. They are on my entertainment center proudly displayed!
I got some gorgeous yellow (favorite color) tulips from Andrew and Lauren... I used for my centerpiece yesterday. And the most amazing card from Amanda. And Andrew wrote me such a meaningful, sweet poem. I wanted to cry!
I even got a text from s-in-l Don!!! That was a huge blessing! And one from Jay! So sweet! Lots of facebook wishes! Karla, Heather and the boys, Tara and the girls and even Ryan called... that topped it! Couldn't ask for more.... yet it got even better!
I was so blessed to be the only one of 6 kids to be spending Mother's Day with our Mama!!! She came over and we looked through tons of pictures on my computer that were her's and I downloaded. She didn't even remember some of them. Then we watched a video like the day before my BFC (best favorite cousin) made for my birthday. Best ever with old country singers getting together talking and singing... like Waylon Jennings, Roy Clark, Willie Nelson, Crystal Gayle, Lynn Anderson, Lori Morgan, Ricky Van Shelton, BJ Thomas, Ferlin Huskey, Glenn Campbell... and many others. Great, great videos!!!! Thank you so much Bob!!!! We are loving them and sharing with mom. Makes us smile!
Then I made a roast dinner with onions, potatoes, carrots (in one dish), biscuits and a salad. With apple pie for dessert! Kevon and Meghan came for dinner and we had a great time talking and laughing! Mom was telling them about the Lohre and Langager families. Good for them to know Kevon's family history. No better time than now. Some pics I took.... he doesn't even look like my son, huh?
We stopped at Karla's to wish her a happy mothers day and pick up my card and see these gremlins!!!! Dylan loved this picture with his evil face. Really scary, huh?
Speaking of Kevin.... I have to brag a bit about my nephew (Kevin and Libby's baby) graduated from WSU on Saturday!!!! We are so proud of him!!! That is where Libby was for Mother's Day! Eastern Washington! Here is Libby with her baby boy!
And this picture is where it all started...Kindergarten!!!! I used to call him Porkchop. lol!
I want to wish my friend since 8th grade, Cindy Beck, a very happy birthday! She lives in Pullman and I rarely see her or talk.... but she called me yesterday during dinner! I was surprised! I got to wish her a happy birthday, though! Love ya cintia!!!
I thought this would be a good verse for the day... especially for a Monday! xoxo
Have a great week! Thanks for stopping into my blog! My readership is dropping... but I still have some almost 30 faithful readers! And I thank you very much and love ya! xoxoSeattle Metropolitan Area
Weather to Expect:
After a beautiful weekend of sunshine and warmth, we are back to soggy spring conditions for your Monday. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 40s with highs this afternoon running in the upper 50s. The center of this storm is staying well to our south, moving into Northern California today. Despite being several hundred miles away, this storm will still be pushing wet weather into our area throughout the day. The steadiest rain will be around this morning before turning to scattered showers later this evening.
This storm moves east tomorrow, leaving us with much drier weather for the remainder of your work week. Clouds will be around tomorrow morning with sun breaking out during the afternoon. Temperatures will rebound back into the low 60s on Tuesday. More sun is forecast through Friday with temperatures running in the mid to upper 60s. Right now, it's looking like a few more showers will creep back in for the upcoming weekend.
