Halloween, Sleepover and Birthday time!

I can't believe it is November.  Makes me wonder where October really went. The older we get the faster time really does go.  But I've heard younger people say the month went fast too.

Let's see...what has been going on this past 1/2 month.

My little bro had a birthday.  I text him and facebooked him and tried to call him but couldn't reach him to wish him a happy birthday like I have for so many years.  Sad. Oh well. Happy birthday David!

We had some great meals but sadly I gained 10 more pounds. I have never nor will I ever weigh this again.  I struggle daily.  So today I started riding my bike again. I brought it out to the livingroom where I hope to ride it more now that it is in plain sight!  I need to control my eating.  Some of my favorite meals papa has cooked for me:
Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings and homemade french fries

Bacon, eggs and fried potatoes
hot turkey sandwich
turkey and dumplins

Breaded pork chops
Pot roast, potatoes, gravy and carrots
And so many other things!  Of course people tell me I have control over what I eat but do I?  I love food and it it is there I will eat it.  I have to learn no one is taking it away from me. There is tomorrow. I don't have to eat every thing on my plate anymore.  If I can get this eating thing and riding under control....I should lose weight. And tons and tons of prayer!!!!

Halloween was very quiet at our home.  Stew every year and so that was wonderful. (haha... food again). No trick or treaters.  But got to have lots of pictures from facebook:

nephew Dean

grand daughter Riley

Grandson Waldo....I mean Andrew

Jordy

Niece Kara and Kevin

Josh and Jared

Lauren and her friend Ashlyn

Madi was Audrey Hepburn... see below and you'll see she really did look like her!

The 30th we had a sleepover with the girls!  They had fun I think!

Madi

They ate, argued, played truth or dare, played on their phones, watched videos, etc... Madi ended up having to leave before bed. The other three were in bed by 10:30.  Papa made silver dollar pancakes and I think shy, quiet Ashlyn must have had 30! They had donuts and bacon too.  Papa took them out of here around noon.

Yesterday we went to Jordy's 18th birthday party.  It was nice to see everyone.

So hard to get pics of Lauren lately!
Seahawks won this weekend.  A player got hurt sadly but he'll be ok.  I love this photo of Coach Pete Carroll in the locker room with Russell Wilson and other Seahawks.

"SEPARATION CREATES ENEMIES" Cesar Milan.  I love this saying. It works with animals and I think it works with people.  The more you stay separate without dealing with a situation...the worse it can become.  Unless you say absence makes the heart grow fonder...but that is when you separate on a good note.

Well, I guess I will close with a big Happy 18th Birthday to my Jordy girl!  After she was born I saw her as a princess.  She will always be a princess to me....see what I mean?

Sweet Princess Jordan

Love you Jo!!!!!

Meeting Dean and almost Jared's bday!!!!

YESTERDAY:

Wow, it was a fast weekend.  It was a really nice though.  The weather was so beautiful!  Friday we just chilled around the house.  Did some cleaning and that was about it.  On Saturday we stayed close to the phone in case we were needed.  It was a hard day. Family drama.  I will always be there to protect grandchildren. But there was nothing I could do.  As a grandma you can only do so much. It is hard but when you forget your place you lose respect and possibly love from your family.  Thankfully there are other mature and level headed people in the family that are in a better place to help in situations.  I don't want to get too into detail but continue to pray for our family.
Let's move onto Sunday!  It was a good day.  The night before my sister Libby asked if I wanted to come up to her house for breakfast and to meet Dean (my great nephew!)   So we were up in Sequim by 9:00 and had a great visit with Libby and her husband Kevin, their daughter (my niece) Kara and her husband Kevin, and the baby Dean.  He's over a year old and this is the first time I have met him. He is an awesome, smart, cute little guy!  A little shy.  I didn't get to hold him but my kids were the same way. lol!  And I took pictures!!!!

His foot...he loved looking at this picture.  Dean and his mama Kara.

I love my family and had a great time with them!!!  I took a nap during the day because last night I went to my birthday movie!!!

Karla and Madi took me to see "The Sound of Music"!  It was great to see it on the big screen.  There were only 7 of us in the whole theater.  That surprised me.  I was all geared up for singing along....but I guess it wasn't a sing-a-long.  I sang enough to have Madi cover my mouth and Karla cover her face. I lip singed the rest of the movie.  Except when I burst out laughing at one of the biggest love scenes in the movie.  Maria and the Captain was professing their love when Maria started singing I started laughing.  I couldn't stop!  I look over and Karla was doing the same thing!  We both had tears rolling down our face.  It was a good night with my daughter and grand daughter!  Love them so much!!!!

TODAY:

I did some cleaning today. Talked with Lauren.  She went to the Sound of Music with her mom yesterday.  She had fun spending time with her mama.  Andrew called on his way to his college class. I love it when he calls.  We talk for the whole trip (hands free).  He is an amazing kid who I love so much. He is smart and mature, sees and knows too much, but he is still and always will be my little baby boy grandson.  It was a good talk.   Lauren's first Spring Basketball game is tonight down in Port Orchard.  We don't go to games that are too far.  But she has another one this week.
Scruffy has been such a cling-on!  He laid on my lap most of the day.  I think it was because I was gone so much yesterday.  He is so addicted to me it is sick. lol!

TOMORROW:

Tomorrow i our baby grandsons birthday!!!!!!!  He  will be 9 years old!  I will post the newborn ones today and more tomorrow.

Jordy has a game tomorrow in Kingston we will be going to. Tara won't be there but we'll be there to cheer her on.  There will also be a basketball game on Thursday and Jordy has another game on Friday.  Heather is suppose to come this weekend.  There is a housewarming party for Jay and Kristen on Saturday.

Well, I guess I am done today.  I want a piece of pie.  Have a wonderful week!!!!
