Almost Easter Sunday!

It is the day before the cross and the resurrection.  Jesus' time in hell where he suffered for our sins. If we could really fathom it I don't think we would do what we do in life. What a loving and forgiving God we serve.

TODAY:

Not sure what to expect today.  It has been that way a lot lately.  Lots of drama in our lives right now. We could use prayer for things to calm down. I do see blue sky and sunshine outside. That is a good thing. Maybe it is time to go out and get some air!  It is my brothers wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary Doug and Betty!

YESTERDAY:

I spent time listening and watching Christian Videos about the crucifiction of Christ. If you haven't seen these they are so worth it!!!  All three touch my heart!!!

Well...and it was "Madi day". Where she decided we would spend the day with me.  The day to her consisted of 11-1.  I convinced her to have me pick her up at 10. She really hates to leave her house and mostly her mom.  And things changed because Lauren and Dylan went with us.  It was fun! We went to Walmart first to get Lauren a phone charger because hers broke. Then we went up to Petco and walked around.  The girls were excited because this guy who worked there was with the ferrets. Lauren got to hold two of them and Madi pet them. She didn't want to hold them.  They were super sweet but seem like long rats to me. I did pet one.  First time we've ever touched one! Pretty cool. Then we got scruffy a few marked down toys.  Next we went to Big Five and Dylan looked at Golf stuff.  I am not sure why Madi likes that store.  It is a sports store and she isn't into sports much. Next we went to Payless Shoe Store and looked at shoes.  Then off to lunch! We went to Elmer's. Dylan and I ate breakfast ...I had Chicken fried steak and he had strawberry crepes and bacon.  Lauren got a bacon burger and vanilla shake while Madi got chicken strips and raspberry tea.  It was good food. The girls didn't eat very well. Kind of a waste.  Took the two home and Lauren came back to the house with me. She didn't want to go to her house.  We got home and she took her iPhone and went into the bedroom and locked the door.  Lauren did the same thing the day before until she came out to the couch and slept later that night.  She is in a depressed state right now and not much is cheering her up except her friends from church.  She talked 3 hours to Brianna and yesterday to several friends. I could hear her laughing.  This divorce is taking its toll on our baby girl and there is nothing we can do but be here for her.  She just wants a place to hang out, forget about things, sort things out, take a breather, and rest.  She has been so strong about it all these past couple of months and now it has hit. Andrew continues to stay strong for Lauren and to help her and protect her as much as he can.  He loves his little sister so much.  It is pretty heartbreaking and I am afraid it has gone too far to turn back now.  This is where trust in God really comes to the forefront.

TOMORROW:

Easter Sunday. I cancelled any dinner or anything.  I bought a turkey I am making for dinner for papa and I.  Just simple.  It is how papa wants it.  He is a bit depressed too.  Ryan came and got his dog Mac on Friday night when he dropped Lauren off and Papa is missing him and Ryan.  Ryan is staying in his new house with his girlfriend.  Anyway, we will all adjust.  I don't know if Lauren is staying here again tonight or what.  I know they aren't coloring Easter eggs. I asked if she wanted to with me and she said she didn't. I just know we are going to church and then having dinner.  That is all I know.  We are taking things minute by minute, hour by hour.  It sounds a bit depressing because it is.

Kids are all on Spring Break.... or Easter Vacation is what it was called back in the day.  Some of our family are going to California for the week, Andrew is house sitting, Lauren will be going to Disneyland with band.  Not sure what the rest are doing.  Would love to spend some time with them!

PRAYER:
Continued prayer for Lauren and Andrew.
Safe travels for family members this week.

Enjoy your week and I will get back here soon!  I love your friendships and treasure your prayers!
