Only 6 years????

MY DAY TODAY:
I have a very busy day today. Well, kind of. I get to take Andrew and Lauren to school... I enjoy that time with them...... then I am going over to my BFF Candice's house to sit for the day and read my book. She is the one who is moving to the East Coast to be with her hubby (works at the Pentagon). The movers are coming to start packing and she has an audition over at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle she needs to be at.... so I get to keep my eagle eyes on the movers so that they don't get into the frig or poop in the bathroom or whatever. I guess. So, it's not that I will actually BE busy... but I'll be away from my computer all day.
CANDICE:
Candice leaves this weekend for NYC and Broadway. She will be back Wednesday to get her house clean and then her and Djamal... the two kids and dog take off to the East coast. But it's not forever. She is going to be in A Christmas Story, the play, at the 5th and will be coming back from mid October til the end of December. She is giving me 2 tickets if anyone wants to go with me. I have never seen her work before... well, I have seen her sing plenty of times... but not act. Can't afford to! But if she gives me tickets I pretty much have to.... anyone want to go? I know Papa won't! She has to continue to stay plugged in the 5th or she will be forgotten. That is how the business is, I guess.

NIGHTMARE:
I woke up with a nightmare this morning!!!! Papa died! I woke up crying so hard at 4:20 and called for him! He came in and held me. That is really scary and dreams can be so real. My old friend Cindy didn't seem to care because she wouldn't stop playing with her laptop. Karla was next to me the whole time... not talking just with me to be there for me... like she has lately. Michelle White couldn't figure out a beautiful smell outside and it was lilacs... I had to show her... we were at our house in Poulsbo. Gin wasn't home and I needed her. I was so lost! Needed to find mom... she would understand but I couldn't find her. Lanny is my other half. I kept saying I couldn't go on without him. He is my other half! I woke up praying it would never happen. I got up... did not want to go back there and wanted to be in the real world.

Yesterday was a very quiet day. Not much about the day to write about. lol! So I'll just write about my normal stuff:

Photo of the day was taken 6-18-04 and it was one of the most wonderful days ever!!!! It was the day Don adopted Parker and Patrick and not a day goes by that we are all so thankful!!! Don is an incredible dad and those boys adore him! The best move ever made! It's only been 6 years. It seems like Don has been their dad always! ;D Love you all!
Facebook friend of the day is Cindy Belgarde. Can you tell by the eyes? She looks like her dad, Dean, who was such a sweet friend of mine!

Andrew's devotion:

Taken from Acts 20:35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

His thoughts: It is better to give than to receive...but do you truly know why that is?
