Found out they are getting rid of Marcey's job so that means they are getting rid of Marcey. She is my mom at work. She hired me. She mentored and encouraged me. She believed in me. She means everything to me at work! She is our shield and defender and person many of us turn to when we need a friend, prayer, encouragement and help. I cried. I am heart broke. She'll never know what she means to us. :(
So now there is shuffling around trying to get things together. I need to talk to Joanna.
This week has been Community Helpers week. Tuesday we had Officer Shawn come speak to the kids. They mostly wanted to hear about his gun, if he killed anyone, if he ever put people in jail, etc....

They learned about 911, they learned about stranger danger, they learned how to stop, drop and roll, they learned to crawl below the smoke and to the window. They learned not to fear policemen or firemen (especially in their gear). They learned about ferry boats and will learn about Mail today! Great week!
I am exhausted. Been a tiring week. So much more going on this week within a 30 mile radius! State Patrol murdered while pulling someone over on Hwy 16 (the killer shot himself 12 hours later and is dead), a man murdered another man in Poulsbo and then called it in...he is in jail, a Bremerton 3rd grader brought a 45 handgun to school and accidentally shot another 3rd grader....she is in critical condition. Two people murdered in Sequim....that guy took his own life when the police found him. This morning a car went off highway in Gorst into the bay...and so far one is dead. I think I got everything. This area has been such a weird week!!!! It is NEVER like this! Praying for peace to come over the area!
They are talking possible snow this Sunday. That would be nuts too since we have March around the corner. lol!
Well.... see the good and the bad? And the ugly. Pray for our area and our nation when you think of us! Have a great weekend! It IS Friday after all!

Oh dear friend, I have been hearing about all of the stuff in your area! People taking the lives of others, I just hate that! If only they would get help or just take their own without hurting others! I know that isn't nice but there are so many innocent people hurt just by being at the wrong place at the wrong time!
I am sorry about Marcey, I am sure she will find something else! I pray that her talents will be recognized and that she will find an even better opportunity!

I am so glad you love your work...really... that you love KIDS! They need somebody like you in their lives...kind of a surrogate godmother or adopted Aunt...many a teacher plays that role unknowingly in a little one's life.... some kids JUST DON'T GET IT AT HOME! It fills in the gap that otherwise might have left a mark on the child's growing up years. You Da Wo-man. **I know you will miss Marcey. God is always, always working though...a comfort in our sad moments....It is terrible to have to hear of such BAD things going on in your area. Gosh they need to counter all those headlines with some Random GOOD stuff going on...Sometimes I honestly think the Media is just OUT TO MAKE my mindset go DOWN DOWN.... argh. I happen to know there are a bunch of little smiley faces in your group photos who are gonna impact the next generation with a good dose of Miss Joyce influence to hopefully be a difference. "Teach em good...Give em a healthy dose of self Confidence...Tell them to pray to Jesus...(yeah I know...that seems to be taboo in schools now) **hmm wonder if that is why the headlines are what they are!????? AND give em a kiss and a hug every day as they scamper home...the world will change. HUGS TO YOU Miss JOYCE!!!!!!! If I came back as a kid I would want you for my Preschool teacher...just sayin'! xoxoxo
