In the merry, merry month of May....

 

We are into May and we sure have had the rain.  Yuk.  I normally love rain but I was getting used to the sunshine.

Papa is getting used to taking Scruffy out for their walks around the yard so he can have his daily costitutions.  Scruff not Papa. haha. They are really enjoying their time together.

The tv remote and set up is a lot different here.  Takes some getting used to.  As did the shower, the stove, the pantry,etc...  All that is new is tricky at first.

Our great grandson, Peyson, will be 3 on the 16th. They moved back to Arizona so we sent a gift they should get today. We got the grand daughter a little doll too so she didn't feel too left out. That is the spoiling factor... and some treats.  

We had some sad news.  My cousin Larry passed away.  This guy was funny, so nice, and caring.  He sure loved my mom and Aunt Lorraine so much!  And they loved him.  Makes me so sad.

This is a refrigerator I had gotten from my mom's cousin's wife years ago.  I think it was built in the 40's but still runs.  We don't know what to do with it.  It shorts out in our shed which shorts out our other freezer. That is not good.  See the freezer up in the middle of the frig?  Not enough extra freezer space so it really doesn't help us. 

My heart broke when I heard about Naoma Judd.  I love her so much!  I love their music and everything.  I was also kind of sad that Lauren and Madelyn didn't know who the Judds are!!!! Not even their music????  What happened?  I should have taught them better instead of listening to Beyonce and the Wiggles so much. 

Speaking of Madelyn.  She loves her makeup! She just got some new stuff to add to her collection.  I think she should be a makeup artist but she now wants to be an attorney.

Monday it will be a year since we lost my brother.  It sure stirs things up again.  I took it so hard and it will always hurt, I imagine.  I loved him so much. So thankful for his daughters!

Lastly, on a happier note I want to show how tall my 3 of my grandson's are!!  Parker (the middle) was always taller and older than his 3 brothers!  Look at his two youngest brother (our youngest grandsons) now!  There is Joshua and Jared with Parker!! Josh is 17, Parker is 25 and Jared is just turned 16!  Love these boys!

IT'S NOW ALMOST EASTER!

I noticed no matter what the weather is going to be at our new home the sun is always shining on me in the livingroom. I can see it coming over the neighbors roof every morning. I had such a wonderful birthday! It was quiet and sweet. Tons of birthday greetings on facebook... well over 100. All the grandkids contacted me by cell phone or regular phone. Except one. Our kids all called or contacted me! Except one. My brother and sisters called early! Except one It is amazing for how busy they all are....I think I am loved! Papa made me Chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast...and then steak for dinner! Grand daughter Riley came over with yellow carnations (my favorite) and visited a long time! While she was her my niece Alyssa came over with a beautiful card from her and Jessie. She stayed for awhile too! Tara brought over an apple pie (one of my favorites).

Anyway, Papa got an electric lawnmower. Our area is so small it won't take much and hopefully it won't be a problem for him to do. If it is we will have to ask one of the kids. Can't ask Dylan right now... he got a new job! He starts Monday and I am excited for him. We are almost done with our PET WALL. It is a wall with family pets past and present in all our families. We love our cats and dogs and always will. Here is a picture. It was Lauren's idea and it was a good one!

My grand daughter, Lauren, at WSU sent me some pictures of her! I sure miss her!  I love how she will call me when walking home from class or a gathering with her friends like last night after 1 a.m.

We watched the Passion of the Christ for Good Friday. What an incredible tear jerker. Seeing what Christ went through for my sins breaks my heart. I hope you have a happy Easter!!!! We are going to Amanda's for brunch and then making a turkey dinner at home. It will be a blessed Easter. I just wish Madelyn and Lauren would be home and Heather and her group were over. Today is Monday...tomorrow is my birthday!

Trying to get this updated. Will have to do pictures since the grand ones have grown up. Makes me sad but I am so proud of the adults they have become. The pollen has been terrible lately. I wake up every night with this garbage. It might help if I take some allergy pills before bed. duh! Last night we had Swedish Meatballs, mashed potatoes and corn for dinner. Papa forgot to put it away overnight so there are no leftovers tonight. Not sure what we are having tonight. I think Papa is making pancakes. For lunch he made frito burrito (soft taco shell with taco meat, chili, frito's and cheese rolled up.) It is really nummy. Not sure what tomorrow night will be for my birthday. I have no plans at all. I can't believe I will be 66 years old! I feel 80 sometimes. Usually I have it all planned for a couple weeks.
