sick times

Today is Saturday the 27th and I am sick.  I've been sick since Christmas.  Before that time I had been so busy and then tired...now sick.  So I haven't blogged lately... but I have my hristmas pictures on my facebook if you want to look at them.  I will post more later.  Sorry so short!
me sick with influenza on Christmas Day
My faithful Christmas dog by my side.
Our family Christmas Day (which was Saturday the 20th) Riley girl was really sick. She didn't even stay for the sleepover.  And Joshua got here really sick the night before.  Brad got sick Christmas day, Tara is sick, Jordy got sick.   Papa was sick but he went to the doctor. He told him he had the flu and the shot he had didn't work. Because of Lanny's past health issues he gave him medication to treat it early.  No pneumonia for him!  The flu is really going around... and it can turn into bronchitis or pneumonia. Not cool.  I am so tired, achy and done  with this.  I'll post more later.

Last week was busy!

This has been a week and I haven't been blogging!  Crazy.  I had an awesome week.  Very tiring.  My blood sugar is down. My weight is down. Feeling pretty good but tired.  Wile E Coyote looks like I feel. haha!

I'm going to go backwards because it helps me to remember! So last night we went to Riley's concert at school.  She did amazing singing and playing those bells.  We got there SO early. Before when we went to her school we had to park a ways away and Tara warned us to bring a flashlight and it was muddy around the school. So we got there at 5:30. It started at 7.  We got rock star parking and we had great conversation while I reclined in the seat half asleep the whole time. It was weird.... I felt spaced out for the concert.  Of course, I was so very stressed going to the concert.  I HATE traffic. I am always afraid of getting in an accident and how quickly it changes your life. I cannot believe how much traffic there was and it was raining off and on.  So I was very stressed by the time we arrived and exhausted.  And I wasn't even driving!!!  My battery on my camera was dead but tara took pictures.  She hasn't posted them yet.

Tuesday we went shopping and bought all our stuff for our Christmas dinner.  And we went to the dollar store for gift wrap and tape. It was pretty tiring.

Monday night we went to Lauren's concert.  My pictures didn't turn out. :(  I won't see any Amanda took.  But she did so well!  The 6th grade band was amazing.  As we were leaving Santa showed up in the fire truck.  I made a little red headed 4 year old friend named Oliver.  He was so cute and funny. We made friends quickly.

Andrew and his friend Annie had been out taking pictures and down the canal so they stopped at our house for cookies.  There were no more Christmas cookies except Kevon's so they had brownies instead and visited for awhile.

Sunday I was a bit tired.  Lauren went to church.  I worked on the pictures from the party we had the day before.

Saturday was the big day!  We had our party. On Friday we picked up Lauren at school and we went home and started baking cookies.  A bit difficult with her on crutches.  She hurt her ankle at basketball practice the night before.  But we got a lot of cookies baked.  She was tired after we finished!

The next morning we got more cookies made!  Papa went and got some pizza and we served it at the party! We made a punch and there were tons of homemade cookies!!!

I cannot believe everyone invited came! Only one missing was Amanda because she had to work. But we had a great crowd of 14 and a blast!!!

Only 14 days until Christmas.   I need to figure out a church to go to for Christmas Eve.

Thinking about things today.  Possibly overthinking is a better term.
However, I am not in the best mood today so I am going to just put out another Christmas Quiz.
I hope you find it fun.  Answers are at the bottom of the post again.0

Here's a Christmas Quiz with 20 questions for you to try!
All the answers are somewhere on the site!

I am not in the best mood.  I didn't sleep well last night.  Not sure why.  Just really emotional today.  Do you ever get that way?  I will just chill the rest of the day.  We put a pot roast in the oven and will add yellow potatoes and carrots in awhile.  It is pouring rain again. The wind is suppose to pick up tonight. So who knows if my mood will get better. lol  If there is no power outage and my dinner gets done it should improve.

Tomorrow I will be busy making cookies for the party on Saturday. I need to go to the store first. Got my meals planned for the party, Christmas day and our family Christmas.  And my shopping lists.  So I feel I am ready. Now I need to get gift wrap and wrap gifts.  I know Parkers (last gift) is suppose to arrive on Friday.
