Mondays are not always bad!

The day was gorgeous! Sunshine!!!  Got to love this weather!  I don't like it too hot! But when you go to the putt putt golf course in the morning you avoid the afternoon heat.  Of course it meant grand kids having to get up early (9:00) in the summer.   It was a lot of fun.  Madi was the only one who got a hole in one.  If fact, she got 2!!!!  It was pretty awesome.  Dylan kept score and went first. He won. Madi was second so she was happy.  Here are some picture of course:

I think everyone had fun!

SEE???? Always white lips. I need lipstick!

On a sad note...missing Toby a lot today.  Today was his birthday. He would have been 12. You who follow my posts know he passed away 8 months ago.  He is missed every day by us. Especially by papa.

Class reunion a week away!!!!

It is almost noon on Sunday!  Suppose to be the hottest day of the weekend, but we have a nice breeze today.  It took awhile for the fog to burn off today, too. It is calm and peaceful. We were going to put a pork roast into the crock pot this morning but it wouldn't even fit in my big one.  So we put it in the oven and forgot about it. Checked it 3 - 4 hours later and it was done! So I made gravy and it is lunch instead of dinner. At least for me. Papa will hold off and heat it up for dinner. Some one is weed whacking. Powerful smell.  Phew!  Hits my allergies.  But I like the breeze so the window is open.

I have been working on our class reunion website for a couple weeks. I think it is finally done. Our reunion is this coming weekend and a lot of my classmates are using their graduation picture for their profile picture on facebook. Me included!

Here some other pictures from high school and childhood of me.  I get a kick out of the blue eye shadow of the 70's. Who would have ever thought it would return?

Well wasn't that a pleasure. lol!  I know what my 7th grade picture looks like...just not sure where it is. I was not suppose to wear makeup in 7th grade and I did. You really see it in the picture. Mom was so mad at me!  And the 6th grade is missing. It is the ugliest picture ever. My grand daughters are going into 6th grade and they are gorgeous.  Not me. Going into 6th I was awkward and ugly. I'll have to go in the garage and look for those one day. And I've always had the lightest colored lips!!! What the heck?

Did pretty much nothing yesterday except work on websites. I've been riding my exercise bike every day. Get that circulation going.  I was thinking the other day about this weather. When we are young we want to live in the sun. The older we get we want to stay cooler. lol!

I am going to close this post today with something I put on my facebook page "Talking the Word". I want to make sure I share on here so I have it if facebook ever crashes. Just my thoughts:

Yesterday I was talking to Papa about my mom. I think of her often. I miss her. Something occurred to me. How blessed I was. When my life began I was with my mama, of course. When her life ended, I was with my mama. This may sound weird, but what a blessing it was to usher her into Heaven... holding her hand and talking with her. Rubbing her face and loving her. I was there for the biggest blessing of her life! To see her face when her days were done here and her she got to go home with Jesus. I thank God for this blessing and honor. I know it is all because of Him. It was nice He also gave me a different perspective on her death. Death hurts...that's no lie. Sometimes it hurts the one going and really hurts the ones left behind. I don't know if time makes it easier. It hasn't yet. It is almost 3 years. But I do know God has made this memory into a blessed event I also got to share with my husband and daughter Tara. Some day we all will face the end of our time on earth. I pray someone is there to hold my hand. I pray you all have taken the first step in where you are going in the end. I will be joining Jesus and my mom and dad and I can't wait. Make it a for sure deal. Ask Jesus to forgive you for the sins you have committed. Ask him to make you clean. Trust that He died on the cross for YOU, because He loves YOU! He paid for your sins! Trust Him and ask Him to enter your heart and become your Savior...the one who saves you from death. It isn't that your body doesn't die, but He can save your soul to live with him forever in Heaven!!! This is where I am going! Are you?

Friday dr appt and softball!

I finally went to see my doctor.  It was a pretty serious appointment this time but we had a few laughs, of course.  I love my doctor. I need to write down everything before I forget:
1. The nurse took my blood pressure in three positions. We got three different readings. They were all high. Doc took it at the end of the visit, it was still a bit high but better. We're going to take it next week.
2. They did an EKG on me and it appeared normal.
3. I am going back to Dr. Jungkeit about my vertigo, hearing and ear issues.
4. My diabetes still is not under control so I will be going on the needle (insulin) starting next Tuesday. I meet with the nurse, Beth. She is an old friend of mine... she was married to Dean Belgarde. Dean died from diabetes complications. And now she will be teaching me all I need to know.  If doing this helps me with my energy, mental sharpness, and everything else and bring my blood sugar down will be worth it.  I am a little nervous but it was my choice.
We discussed depression, weight surgery, my head aches, my chest pain, shortness of breath, weight, diet, exercise, etc....
It was a pretty long visit. I'm glad I finally went to see her.

Last night was a blast!!!! Rubens Insurance had their first softball game of the season!!!! (It the kids; Joel, Karla, and Tara's team with a new sponsor this year!)  Shirts are cute... a teammate named JR made them. Team is hot. Every person contributes! It's going to be a great season!!!!  Last night Dylan got to play! That was awesome to watch. I was so busy score keeping and trying to remember everything I didn't get pictures! But Andrew came by and took some pictures for us. Hopefully he will post them soon. Thanks Andrew for doing it!  Papa helped me keep score with his own little tablet.  I was so thankful!!!! Thing happen fast in these games. Seriously. It's not like a do complete "stats" like I did during high school baseball.  Now I just write if it is BB, 1b, 2b, 3b, HR, K and runs, outs, etc.... and keeping track of batters. It is going to be easier next week.

Here is some pictures from last night the group took.

This year we will get one!  Hard to believe the team started in 2007 and were called The Strangers, then got Karla's dad to sponsor them and they were "Yank A Part" after the wrecking yard. This year new sponsor! Ruben Insurance.

Well, gotta go eat lunch.  I hope you have a great weekend!
