Maddie's update

Our poor girl...she is done with surgery. Time to go home. It wasn't easy because they had problems trying to get her IV in her arm. So they gave up and put gas on her. They put the IV on her hand after she was out. She said she fell asleep and everything was dark except this nurse? had super bright blue eyes. She woke up going down the hall on the gurney. She was hurting. They didn't send pain meds, told Karla to only give her Tylenol. That sucks.

Papa and I brought her a chocolate milkshake which was heaven to her. She ate almost all of it. Papa left me to visit with them for about an hour or so. Their power was out so we had a good time with lots of laughs. Maddie was funny...even in pain.  She is such a character. I wish you all could know her. She makes me laugh.

Just wanted to  update you on how she was, thank you for your prayers, and please continue to pray since she will be in pain for several days we hear.

Prayer Request!!!!!!!!

Please pray for grand daughter Maddie tomorrow!!! She is having her tonsils and adenoids out. Please! Thanks!!!!!

Happy Birthday Kevon!!!!

It was one of the best days of my life 36 years ago.  My baby boy came into the world. Did it natural so I guess I can't say the first 7 hours of January 13, 1978 was too great.  I was over visiting Tim and Diane Todd with my baby girl Karla. My ex was working swing shift. It was on a Thursday night around 8 that I started to feel pains.  Went home and called mom and dad.  Dad brought my brother David over to stay with Karla. I took a bath and waited for Dave to come home. We left when he got home and went to the hospital in Bremerton.  Got there and they admitted me by about 2 a.m. We sat and played tic tac toe and other games waiting.  Dr said I didn't have time to wait for anesthetic since the guy lived in Gig Harbor and it would take too long for him to come back. I fell for it. I still think I was tricked.  The nurse told me she got off at 7 a.m. and I better have the baby by then.  And I had him at exactly 7:00 a.m. on Friday the 13th. He was 7 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long.

Kevon always loved to be entertained by riding different modes of transportation...

...playing guitar.....

...playing sports....

I love this boy! He grew up to be a funny, handsome, caring, responsible man who loves his family and friends....and his baby Penny!

I am so excited for them to come over for dinner tonight! I've been roasting a roast in the oven all day.  And mashed potatoes. I think he will be very happy with his birthday dinner!
