Life changing day

Well....it is Sunday morning and it feels like Monday.  We should be going to church but have no idea what church to attend anymore.  It is hard. 


I have lots of housework to do today. I did absolutely not a thing yesterday. Talk about a lazy day. I went to bed almost ashamed of myself for wasting the day away.  Oh well. Can't bring it back. So today I am going to be a little more productive. lol. Stayed tuned tomorrow to find out.


Some memory pictures for today... July 15th!  This day seems to be life changing days for Papa!  The first picture was July 15, 1996 when Papa held Andrew for the first time!!!

And then on the down side it was July 15, 2007 Papa was having his heart attack while camping and we didn't even know it!!! He thought Toby's leash pulled a muscle or it was indigestion.
Both occurrences changed his life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOBY!!!!

OUR TOBY IS 10 TODAY!!!  Hard to believe.....but it seems like he's ALWAYS been a member of our family!  We sure love this dog.  Especially that papa!  It is his dog, for sure!  Hope his birthday gets better and the storms stop.

I am so sick of thunder. It was cool at first, but it is getting old really fast.  I am just thankful Toby isn't freaked out by it. He's not a fan...but doesn't go hiding. He just looks at us for affirmation that all is still OK.  We've had this weird storm of thunder, lightening, periods of rain or hail, and sunshine for over 36 hours.  We don't have the humidity like the mid west... so that is good.  Poor animals....first the fireworks and then the storms. Sucks for them. I think about Maddie's cat Gracie....

and Lauren's dog Sandy....

neither like loud noises.  I put Toby in our bedroom with fans and curtains closed.

We slept in today!  I didn't wake up until 8:30! That is crazy for me.  I usually get up between 5 and 6.  The girls didn't get up until 9:00.  Felt good.

The girls are playing this morning....and papa is cooking them bacon and breakfast. I am going through some boxes to throw away stuff and to store stuff. I need to give some of the photo albums to my sisters that were my mom's.

Wow, I had to get back to this....took a break for the storm!  I have never seen it rain so hard here or heard the thunder so loud it shook my house and plants!  Toby was panting.  Here is the girls.... after they settled down from screaming and freaking out!

Now they are all relaxing in the den watching Annie! They have always loved that movie!!!!
I did lose 8 pounds in a week. Very glad about that....but it is just a drop in the ocean. I've just started.  Wish me luck.

Well...now it is sunny. lol!

It is Thursday...and the fog has rolled in!

Woke up wondering what day it is....it is Thursday.  My plans?  Lauren and I are going to walk Toby later today. I might stop by the school and library today. Drop off some stuff. Who knows. It is so foggy this morning!  I can't believe how it has been feeling like a fall day around here.

I don't have a lot to write about. Not even sure why I am writing.  Just because I can?  Because I have time?

I am excited I get a couple grandsons here at the end of the month!  We may take them camping. Love camping!!!! We only have gone 2 times so far this year. Want to go more! So do the grand kids!

I am not happy with where my lap top is....it feels like I am in the dark dingy corner.  Need to fix that. It is amazing how my stress level is almost non-existent. The only stress I am feeling is my weight. It is at the highest it has ever been. I have to take care of it. NOW!

The rest were taken July 12, 2008.... 4 years ago of Jordy, Riley, Andrew and Lauren! At my house and at the beach!

They have grown up and changed a lot in 4 years!

And finally... Tara and Uncle Doug camping 7-12-1989...23 years ago! Tara was 15...almost 16!

I want to wish Jim and Rita (Lanny's sister) a very happy anniversary today down in Oklahoma!
