He's not about fear....

As we love God and his children, we are reminded of his love for us which is far better than our meager love for others. Rather than run from him in fear, we bow before him in thanks knowing that he who hears our prayers is also he who loves us and yearns to calm our fears.

Prayer Loving Father, thank you that I can be your child fear. May your love in me produce a closer likeness to you. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, who ransomed me from sin and poured out his love upon me. Amen.

seeing is believing....

ok....this is not an altered picture.... it's the real thing. Karla in bed with a dog. Punky. And punky looks a bit dirty..... like she needs a bath! I know you probably can't believe this picture, Rachel..... Dylan couldn't either. But it's true. Taken November 1985.... 23 years ago!

kids, colds, eyes, and my book......

Punkin' is so drawn to Dylan.... always has been. He gets in his lap and snuggles down all the time.

Here is andrew spacing out on the computer.

Lauren thought the mattress was softer than it was when she jumped and hurt her bottom. Not a happy girl in this picture.

Maddie is excited to get ready for bed! She slept all night, too! Til 5 am! That's good for Maddie. They were in bed by 9!

Papa watching Twister and Sandy loves laying at his feet.... hoping to get her belly scratched.... all the time!

Punkin woke Dylan up this morning when she came in.

As you can tell..... we had a surprise sleep-over. Nothing we really planned but I got to missing some kids. Maddie really wanted to spend the night bad..... and after her play-date with her friend and after Dylan's day with his grandma they came over. I asked Amanda if Andrew & Lauren could come and Ryan brought them and Sandy over. It was awesome! We all had different dinners. Andrew tried buffalo for the first time. He liked it. Just watched some tv and talked and stuff. Papa brought out my Christmas decorations and so we are going to put some out this morning. That will be fun and chaotic! lol! I'm excited because I don't like doing it on my own. Not as fun. This morning will be fun! And no....it's not too early! Thanksgiving Day is too late.

Well, mom has bronchitis. David took her to the doctor yesterday morning. So she is on meds right now and she is going to get better hopefully soon. Pray it is so.
Papa is getting better. Back to work...still coughing up but not as bad. I'm getting better, also, but no one really asks. Most people are concerned about papa... which is understandable with his history. I'm concerned every time he moves funny. I feel like i live on the edge waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sucks.

Thanks for all the laundry advise! It was pretty split on which to buy. And you hate wasting your money on something only to find out it doesn't work.

I have 2 days off and then work 2 days and then 2 off! Easy week! Papa works all week...if not for the gov. than walmart.... even Thursday.

Maddie just told me I have rainbow eyes. I have blue and green and yellow and brown in my eyes. She just has browns. She said she used to not like having brown eyes... but now she's used to it. Well, that's good to hear.

I finished my book yesterday. Such an amazing book. I know I've said that before.... but it is true. It will hold your attention through the whole thing. I am ready to read it again. It will make you laugh and cry. I can't really tell you a lot about it because it will give so much of the book away..... but the book even is good til the end. It is packed with stuff.... and can change your views on religion, relationships, forgiveness, love, the trinity, evil, good, etc.... and it does it in a way that it isn't a sermon or lecture. Even if you don't believe in God.... it may answer some questions for you or help you to figure out some things. I may even get papa to read it.

Well, I guess I will start getting moving. Andrew just woke up. He wanted to sleep in the recliner last night with the electric blanket Lanny's mom sent us last year after his surgery. He ended up on the couch. Lauren is still sleeping. Already had to stop an argument with Dylan and Maddie over who Sandy likes best. I also explained to them this is a hands-off house. The only time you can touch each other is if you are hugging!!! See how long that lasts. lol!

Hope you have a great day. We're doing decorations and going to Andrew's soccer game!
