we need each other....

What do you do with your Saturday nights, Sunday mornings, Sunday nights? Did you know you can go to church any of these times? Going to church for most folks just isn't very attractive. But, that shouldn't surprise us. Doing things as an act of discipline isn't very popular. Doing things for others isn't seen as something necessary. The Holy Spirit's message, however, reminds us that we need to go to be with God's people because they need us -- to encourage and to motivate THEM! We need each other. And if we really are looking for answers to life's question....where else is better to go? In fact, I think the Lord would prefer us to think of it as "being" church rather than "going" to church. Going....it is good for you.

Father, please bless the group of Christians with whom I regularly meet. Bless them through my words, attitude, and influence as we join together to honor you and encourage each other. Thank you for giving me people with whom I can share my journey home to you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

something must be funny....

October 25, 2004....4 years ago today Maddie and Lauren were watching tv with their sippy cups. Must have been a good show...Maddie is smiling and Lauren is ready to. I really miss those days. They were very special.

Patty, carnival and work.....

Today is our friend, Patty Jacobs, birthday! We met thru church and she is a neat person! Some of you know her hubby, Pastor Jake. Happy birthday, Patty, with many happy & healthy years to come! We love you! Good Saturday morning! Missing Andrew and Riley's games again because of work. Missed all of Riley's and only got to 1 and 1/2 of Andrew's. Not even sure how they're doing! Seems like they're not playing to me. Working today and then pick up Maddie and Dylan later. We're going to their school carnival and they're spending the night! I am actually looking forward to the carnival! It's been many years since we've been to a school carnival. Had my meeting with Pam at work. No extra hours in my schedule. I'll get them here and there when she can get away with it....but Aleta isn't worried about my hours....she's focused on this new venture "Thin and Healthy" business she started. Well, she's not so focused right now....she is on a cruise and left it all to Pam to fret over (finding 2 people to work it). Feeling a bit sorry for her.
Well....that's all....my mind is now empty. Speaking of which....I just read an article on memory....how when you reach 40-50's you start forgetting names more, what you were doing, multi booking, etc..... So I'm not totally losing it....it happens to everyone. Anyway....it says you need to exercise your brain like the rest of your body to keep it strong....learn and study new stuff all the time. hmmm. interesting. Well, that's really all for me now!
