Happy Birthday Parker!!!!

Today my 2nd born grandson is 16! I cannot believe how old he is! I adore this sweet young man! He makes my world brighter and puts a smile on my face! I am so proud to be his grandma "mam"!  He is so unique and is happy being Parker. He is so kind, sweet, funny, loves with all his heart, and a very deep thinker.  He fills a place in our family that only he can fill!  Love you so much Parker! Happy 4th of July!

Happy birthday America!

Another holiday I am basically doing nothing. We were invited to go see fireworks last night with a former classmate (Poulsbo shoots theirs off on the 3rd of July). But Lanny doesn't know them and I don't think he wanted to go. I don't know what everyone is doing today for the 4th. Just know no one is here. Of course, I didn't plan anything. I am kind of at the point of not having things at my house.  I don't mind the prep work and everything that goes worth it...the hard part is inviting everyone and they are all too busy for us.

Well, I am done here.  Spent all day watching The Walking Dead marathon and had a wonderful bbq steak for dinner.  Have all our windows closed and fans going for the animals and keeping them in tonight. Well, they stay in every night but they are in early tonight.  It is only 7:18 pm.  Our neighbors are gone but there are "weekenders" as Papa calls them that come for the weekend with their motor homes or to stay in their cabins and they bring all the illegal fireworks with them. They are really loud. Too loud for our animals. lol!

My beautiful daughter!

Yesterday my daughter, Karla Jean, tuned 38.  Amazing!  I find it hard to believe it has been 38 years since my baby came into this world. I had never felt so blessed, so loved, so connected, so unsure in my whole life. I was holding this little piece of Heaven in my arms. I couldn't believe she was mine. I couldn't believe she had my blood running through her. I couldn't believe my body cared for her and carried her for 9 (almost 10) months!  And I couldn't believe any baby in the whole world was prettier than her! She had the greatest coloring and the most perfect skin and the most perfect lips and fingers. What a blessing. A blessing I didn't deserve.  I didn't realize then how different my life would be forever and ever. The gamut of emotions I would feel.....mostly the laughter and happiness she brought me over the years. Of course there has been tears and frustration raising a child, but the joy I have had with her and watching her grow has been the best part of my life.  I love her so much and she will always be my Charlie!  Happy birthday KJ!

What a pleasure and honor God gave to me allowing me to deliver her into the world to bless others....and for allowing me to be her mom.  Thank you God!
