Happy Valentines Day!

I am getting sleepy and it is only noon!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! This is such an awkward holiday. It is wonderful if you are in love. It sucks if you're not. Sometimes it is embarrassing when you're a child or it can be hurtful or awkward. I am praying it is a wonderful holiday full of love!!!! Here are my favorite valentines babies!!!!

I have always been a strange person and I am just figuring this out.  My reality isn't reality.  What I think my childhood was like wasn't completely what it was. I would hear mom say things and I didn't remember it the way she spoke of it. Same with raising our kids.  I picture it camping, laughing, sharing, having fun together. But my kids don't see it all that way....so maybe I am wrong.  I wonder if everyone is that way.  I've always kind of live like "ignorance is bliss" so if I don't know what is going on or the truth than I don't get hurt and things are fine. But I guess in the long term it didn't work for everyone.  I still would like to live this way. I would rather see things on the positive side than the negative. I would rather think that things are wonderful. I don't want to think they are bad...or sad. It is crazy. I don't even know why I am saying all this except I guess I was triggered this morning.  I just miss certain people.

On a lighter note I am feeling better! Last night I was having pain in my left shoulder and chest. I was so uncomfortable. I wasn't sure if it was heartburn or not. We had steak for dinner with quite a bit of garlic so I thought it could be that. But I think I know what it was.  I dusted and washed and cleaned the den really good yesterday.  I even moved the couch, love seat, bookcase, TV and cat tree around.  That could have made me sore.  Two days this week of rearranging. Maybe I am finally getting too old to do this anymore. This morning I woke up even stiffer.....but no chest pain. Most of it was my low back and stuff. So I took a hot shower and have felt better ever since! And the den looks awesome.

I came out of the shower and Papa brought me my coffee and a beautiful rose plant with little yellow roses!  Now, I know yellow roses mean friendship, but Papa doesn't know that....he only knows yellow is my favorite color. :D  So to me it means LOTS of love!!!!  He shows me and tells me that every day!  It also reminds me of my mom. My mama loved yellow roses.

I was thinking about starting my cleaning of my bedroom. Last room left. I have stuff to sort through and put away and throw away. Clothes to get rid of and more dusting and cleaning to do. But I think I best wait until next week.  Don't think my body can handle it. But Tuesday my friend is coming back from Montana!  I know they will be busy but I am hoping we will have time for coffee!!!

Cleaning, Cleaning and cars....

We have been a bit busy this week so far.  When we went to the vet to get the cat fixed last month they said the cat had fleas?!? So they treated him. We haven't seen any fleas on him before and after so I don't know. With the white belly you would think they would be visible   Haven't found any on Toby either....or on us or on anything.  But.... we bought flea busters and treated the house today anyway. The stuff is amazing!!!! If there is one flea in here.... we got it. But there was a lot of work to do!!! We have to clear the room to treat it.  This was the mess we had!

It gave me a reason to clean out the toy boxes! I threw a lot away and put some in the yard sale bag.  Here are some of the toy mess I had.....

 
It was fun getting a picture of Kevon's group of wrestlers.  He's had them since he was little and all the grandkids have played with them.

When all was said and done.... here is the bedroom (toyroom) all finished. whew!

Even the animals are so tired they  didn't mind laying in the same bed together! They never do this. lol!

So we got that all done. Now I have to focus on refinancing out house and bringing our payment down a couple hundred dollars and lowering our interest a couple percents!  Got all the paperwork and need to sign them and send them back.

I found this picture of my sweet little Karla. I love this picture. One of my favorites.  I lost some of my pics so I am glad I found this one again. ;D

Heather and Don's boys were in the Pinewood Derby the other night.  Jared came in 2nd! That is pretty awesome!  Joshua and Jared both did good!

Made Shrimp Scampi for dinner tonight.  Turned out really good.  Well, tomorrow is Wednesday! Almost time to turn the page. I hope you all have a great day! :D

Happy birthday daddy!

Today would have been my dad's 90th birthday!!!!  Happy birthday dad! I love you and miss you soooo much!

We grew up next to the Rayment's in Kirkland.  Our parents were best friends. In fact, once we moved to Kingston they moved over a couple years later! Berta is 2 months older than me.  Today is Berta's birthday too!  Her brother, Rick, had a birthday on Friday!

We had two family irthday's this past week too that I missed posting about!  Two of my sons-in-law had birthday!

Sometimes it takes me forever to post. Not sure why.....just does. It also seems like I always put excuses why I haven't in over a week.

But all is quiet. Papa and Toby went to Walmart.  Whoops, they just got back. Papa bought the cat a catnip mouse that squeaks and eyes light up and flash. He LOVES it!!!!

Been trying to think back on the past week and what we've done. Jael went home which was really sad for me and Andrew.  Mostly Andrew.  I think it was harder for him this time.  They will be back on the 19th. I believe her and her mom will be here two weeks. Jael has a show the 22nd and she will also be singing at the Coffee Oasis in Poulsbo on the 2nd of March (Lauren's birthday!) at 6 p.m.  Hope you can all make it!

So I know they will be here at least 2 weeks!  yay! They will be here for Andrew's birthday too!

This weekend we went to two games.  Friday night we went to Jordy's indoor soccer game.  Those games are pretty brutal. She got hurt a couple times, but she kept on playing! For a little thing she is tough!!!!

Then we went to Lauren's basketball on Saturday.  We picked up Maddie and went to Bainbridge Island.  It was a tough game too....only because the officiating was not consistent. And their team was really pretty good. Maddie was getting so mad and calling the other team "cheaters"!!!! lol!  Thought she wanted to take someone out. After the game I told her to "go for it". She went over by Lauren, but I knew she wouldn't do anything.  At least, I was hoping she wouldn't. haha! I took a risk there.
After the game we came home and had dinner and the girls played in the tub. They watched a movie Maddie brought over and had a good time together. It doesn't happen too often anymore.
Sunday we went to Toys R Us just to look around and ended up at this table playing with these little wind ups for awhile!!!! Racing!!!!!  It was so fun!

Also Lauren has a birthday coming up so she was looking for ideas! :D

I have been meaning to post this picture since I saw it on the internet.  It is funny and reminded me of Lauren and Maddie when they were little.....it looks like something they would have done had they the chance! lol!
