yada, yada, blah, blah, blah....

This was Lauren at Costco.... couldn't believe the size of these!!!! lol!
Tuesday morning.... I only seem to be getting to this blog every other day.  At least I do better than Karla!!!! She is pathetic.  So is Heather.  All they do is facebook.  That's not going to record their memories of their kids.  I love looking at my old journals....and video's.

Yesterday was an ok day. We did Sunflowers!!! We painted one and we ate sunflower seeds... some of the kids for their first time!!!! And they liked them!  We also colored pictures. And we picked a sunflower from outside and investigated it.... talked about how they grow, etc... Today we are switching it up and doing Owls. That is because we have Music today.  Tomorrow we will do Wind and Nuts.

I have the largest class at my school! And it keeps growing. Yesterday I had 11 kids.... today I will have 2 new kids and today is a tour for a parent of twin boys!!!!  I am getting nervous. I spoke to Marcey yesterday and am assured she has a plan. Hope so.  I am not a teacher. I keep telling them that! The kindergarten and junior k  teachers have teaching degrees. Not me.  But I am hanging in there doing the best that I can.

Blood sugar this morning was 302. Not good.  The NutriSystem food is bad for me. All carbs and tomato sauces.  Going to cancel.  Papa has been staying away from sugar.... which is amazing for him. I don't have that problem....mine is carbs.

Finally got a couple rooms cleaned this morning. Yay me! Will tackle the den again tomorrow.

Well.... that is about all I got.  I sound like a debbie downer today. Not sure why.  Hope I get better!!!! lol!  For the kids sake!

Celebrating Dylan's birthday!

Yesterday was so fun.... celebrating Dylan's birthday!  It was just me, Dylan and Uncle Kevon. Papa stayed home.  First I picked up Dylan and we went to WalMart.  Then we went to the Learning Tree where I got some posters for my class room!  Then we went to Famous Dave's BBQ for lunch. Kevon met us there.  They decided to order the huge family platter!  It was huge. A whole chicken, rack of ribs, beans, coleslaw, cornbread muffins, apples thingys, corn on the cob, and brisket... and other stuff.
This is after we took our share!
Kevon's plate is clean. Here is the little plate they tried all the sauces on.
I thought the food was way too hot and spicy.  You have to be tougher than I am. Dylan and Kevon loved it. Doubt I will go back.  It was really messy too! lol!  Kevon said I should go down the street to Bland Billy's to eat.  It has white potatoes, white bread, no salt or pepper. Dylan asked if that was a real place. lol! It was funny. We had lots of laughs over dinner.
Then we went to the mall and Dylan had a Smoothie and got a hat.... after checking out three hat stores. Kevon was a big help with the hats. Really.
Next we went to Putt Putt Golf.  They have a big course and Kev had never been there. It was funny and fun and I was the only one who got a hole in one .... and the only one that lost her ball in the water trap on the 16th hole.  Dylan fell and hurt his knee.  It was so funny how it happened and Kevon was teasing him about going to school with a Putt Putt injury.  He was running to stop his ball from going in the water and slid on the bridge thingy.

After golf we left Kevon there looking at Golf Clubs.... think he have bought a new one.
Then Dylan and I stopped at Subway for sandwiches for all. Took him home and brought Lauren and Papa a sandwich.  I think Dylan's birthday is finally over!

I've been working on school stuff all morning.  I need to go there and finish some stuff before tomorrow! Busy week this week....but fun! We are doing more Autumn... and I am breaking it up: Monday is Sunflowers, Tuesday is Nuts / Wind, Wednesday is Owls, Thursday is Corn, and Friday is Scarecrows!  The next week is all about Pumpkins!

What am I suppose to do with my mother's teeth?  They are still in the container from the hospital and I dont' know what I am suppose to do with them!

Best get going! Have a great Sunday!

Glad THAT week is behind me! Hakuna Matata!

Have I said "I love Saturdays" before? If not.... I will say it again..

Today is going to be a super day because Dylan and I will be celebrating his birthday!  I think he planned on me picking him up at 11... going to lunch...then maybe the mall or something. He is a planner.... like his mama, like me.  As long as it isn't roller skating...he can plan all he wants.  Maybe Uncle Kevon will have time to join us. He is taking an online course he has to finish for work. I definitely knows how that goes!!!!  I had to do 20 hours for STARS.... and last weekend 2 hours for Red Cross training.

Work has been interesting. Busy. Long week. Confusing. Frustrating. Rewarding. Happy, Angry, Sad, and times I just laughed out loud!!!!  I love the teachers I work with.... Allison and Sarah! They are both smart and amazing girls and fun! I am learning from them.  I love the kids! There are 2 that are challenging me right now.... yet most of them make me laugh...or at least smile!

The first of my grandchildren to get glasses is our 6 year old Joshua!  He is both nearsighted and farsighted.  He picked out these "camouflage" glasses.... Heather picked out a second pair that she really liked for him too.  He will be wearing them full-time.... but he is so cute....it only makes him cuter!
Our grandkids are growing up so fast.  Well.... guess I will clean the house and get this day started! I hope you have a wonderful day! xoxo
